Leo was walking to school when he felt someone looming behind him he turned around to see it was piper
“Oh gods pipes you scared me” he said laughing
“What, is my makeup that bad?” she said nudging his shoulder while laughing
“So. Um, exciting day huh?” She said looking to Leo and they walked
“Oh, um ya” he said forcing a smile
“Hey, listen, Jase is gonna be hanging out with us, I promise if he says anything I will judo flip him.” She said sternly
“Pipes you don’t have to, I’m sure he’s got a new boyfriend, and I’ve moved on” he said shrugging
“Ya sure” she said rolling her eyes
They chatted for a bit before arriving at the school gates
When they walked inside he saw a familiar blond standing by pipers locker waiting for them
“Hey Jase” piper said giving Jason a big hug
Leo stood behind piper trying to hide when jason peaked over her shoulder Leo froze
Leo waved “Hi” he said awkwardly
“Hey!” Jason said walking over to him and pulling him into a hug
Leo had no idea what to do so he just stood there, when Jason’s pulled away he saw must have seen awkward look on Leo’s face
Because he apologized after for touching him without asking first
“Oh, it’s ok” Leo said smiling
After that awkward interaction they all walked to class, apparently Jason had every call Leo and Piper did.
At lunch they all sat on the bleachers, Leo pulled a bolt out his pocket and started to fidget with it, Jason’s was filling piper in with all that had happened in the last 5 years, but one thing that he overheard made him stop in his tracks
“Oh ya, and I have a girlfriend now!” Jason said “her name is Rayna”
Leo looked over and made eye contact with Piper who’s expression was the same as his. what. the. fuck
“Oh that’s nice” said piper smiling
“Ya so what’s new with you
Guys?” Jason asked
“Oh, I’m a lesbian now” piper said smiling
Jason turned to Leo “And what about you Leo?”
“Oh, nothing really” he said looking away
“Really?” Jason asked raising his eyebrow
“Ya” Leo said as he started to fidget with his Bolt again
“Oh ok”
After that things went quiet, the three of them walked over to their next class.

At home Leo collapsed in his bed, he didn’t want to go to school anymore, he then got a text from a unknown number

Unknown: hey Leo, it’s me Jason, Piper gave me ur number :)
Leo Valdez: hi Jason how are u?
Jase💙: I’m good, are you ok?
Leo Valdez: ya I’m Alg :)
Jase💙: you sure, you seemed off at Skl, u weren't your usual self today
Leo Valdez: idk what you mean I was asking how I usually act? 🤨
Jase💙: oh, it’s just you never used to act like that”
Leo Valdez: Well things can change in 5 years :)
Jase💙: ya, sorry
Leo Valdez: hey it’s ok, we haven’t talked in a while
Jase💙ya, hey Leo
Leo Valdez: ya?
Jase💙: Listen, I'm really sorry about what happened, I should have believed you, Octavian is a dick. After I broke up with you he manipulated me into dropping everyone I knew and moving schools. I’m so sorry I left
Leo: It's ok Jase, I understand :)
Jase💙: ok thanks for understanding ❤️
Leo Valdez: ya np ❤️
