CHAPTER FIVE
Goldenpaw touched noses with Sedgecreek, their soft touch left Goldenpaw tingling with excitement. The new apprentice stood rather very small compared to his mentor, and proud as the Clan chanted his name. He was one step closer to becoming a warrior of RiverClan, and that moment would be stuck in his heart for his whole apprentice training. Sedgecreek was standing next to him, smiling and looking down at him.
“Don't worry, this isn't my first time training an apprentice,” she murmured, quickly adding on, you're doing fine.” Crookedstar looked down at him, but said nothing else before he jumped down from the rock, careful not to land in the small stream surrounding it. The Clan broke apart, some Warriors congratulated him, such as Mistyfoot who happily gave him a playful shove.
“When are we going to start training? Will it be battling or hunting?” Goldenpaw added, “oh! Maybe we could-”
“Tomorrow, chillax, tomorrow we'll be able to search around the territory, then if you're really up for it, we could start hunting training, or the next day, and start trying to get you to catch prey!” Sedgecreek answered, crouching down into a hunting position then pouncing on Goldenpaw’s tail. He giggled, squirming under Sedgewhisker’s hold, and they soon turned into a hurricane of light brown and white fur. Sedgewhisker laid on her back, panting slightly.
She turned her head towards Goldenpaw, he was still giggling. The apprentice knew he would have to get up, eventually, but the grass under him, damp from the running water near, was too comfortable to get up.
