CHAPTER TWO

Rosy looked at the forest, her littermate, Tiny, stood next to her, Tiny seemed much more interested in counting the boards on wood on the fence.
“Please tell me you're not thinking of going out there,” Tiny hissed, looking up at her.

“Oh, c'mon Tiny! We don't have any twolegs, or homes! We can live out there!” Rosy meowed with optimism shining in her eyes. Tiny’s stomach twisted, dread filling into his belly.
“You know they're wild cats out there, who feast on Kittypet bones!” He replied, “who knows if they do the same to others!” Rosy looked at him before gently shoving him off the fence, then jumping off herself.

Tiny hissed, batting at her head with a sheathed paw. Tiny toppled over as a gray blob knocked him off his paws. Rosy smashed into the gray cat, the two became a spinning mess of fur, attacking with unsheathed claws. The gray cat, no more than at least six moons, backed away.

“You two fight well for kittypets!” he meowed, “I'm Graypaw by the way!” Rosy looked at the shaggy furred kit, she leaned down to lick her ruffled chest fur.
“Gray- graywhat?” Tiny asked, his tail still whipping back and forth. Graywhat puffed his chest out, with a pride smile in his eyes.

“Graypaw,” the strange cat repeated, "I'm training to be a ThunderClan warrior!" Tiny looked at Rosy, with a ‘i told you so’ look on his face. Rosy sheepishly smiled at her littermate before looking back at Graypaw.

“What are two kittypets like you, doing out in the woods? Don't you know it's dangerous?” Gray asked, question after question, it made Tiny uneasy.

His stomach knotted as Rosy spoke up in a sassy, sarcastic voice like she always does. “If you're the most dangerous thing the woods has to offer, then I think I can handle it,” Rosy bluffed, getting wide eyes from Tiny, who squealed.
“No you could not!” He hissed, cuffing her around the ear.

Graypaw looked at the two “kittypets” and narrowed his eyes, he let out a quiet laugh.
“oh, I'm far from the most dangerous, if I were even half a warrior, I'd given intruders like you, some real wounds to think about.”
