Unfinished Stories from an Old laptop final
A Lemon in a Basket of Oranges.
For as long as little Darian could remember he was always on his own.
Darian was raised in an orphanage but due to the acts of mean children, he ran away. At the age of three he ran away.
He has known life in the streets for about two years. And in that time Darian learned a lot.
He learned that when you lived in the streets you were on your own. Not every adult could be trusted.
Darian doesn't remember what his mommy or daddy looked like. He doesn't know what a hug feels like, or how a bed would feel under him. He just knows how to live with himself. He doesn't wonder of toys or what pajamas are.
He feeds himself with the trash bins behind the bakery. He is careful though. A big kid told him that the people who take children will end up dead. So he runs from people who would take him away.
But Darian also knows he is different. When a big man tried to take a loaf of bread he found, the man threw him into a wall, he felt pain and cried just a little. With tears in his eyes, he wobbled to his box. He laid there and cried himself quietly to sleep. The odd thing that happened the next day was that he was no longer in pain and his left hand wasn't broken.
His life continued with finding food and a place to sleep. It was a life Darian was okay with.
It all changed when he was digging through the trash behind the grocery store when he felt a large, rough hand pull him out of the dumpster.
He was hauled in the air and he felt a nasty breath in his face.
"Oy, Wha' we got here? Aren't ya a pretty little thing. I could get a pretty penny out of ya. Especially with that face of yours."
Darian continued to struggle as best as he could. The man started walking and he continued to struggle and scratch his way out of the bad man's hold. He was so scared. His eyes started to tear up and he felt an overwhelming feeling in his chest.
Suddenly he screamed. And the scream was so loud it knocked the man down and shattered the windows of the grocery store.
When the man fell to the ground, Darian was able to get out of the man's hold. But before he could run away, his world turned dark.

Arthur Weasley's P.O.V
Arthur rushed to the children's wing at St. Mungo's, he had been called down by his friend and auror Kingsley Shacklebolt about a child found after causing a strong burst of accidental magic.
He saw Kingsley in the hall.
"Hello Kingsley, it's been a while."
"Yes Arthur, I wish we could have met under better circumstances but unfortunately that is not the case."
Kinsley then turned towards the window. Arthur turned his head towards the window as well and what he saw shocked him. Their in the white covers of a hospital bed was a small toddler with long almost white blonde hair asleep.
The child was almost swallowed up by the hospital sheets. The toddler looked to be about maybe three. The poor little girl was covered in bruises. Arthur's heart ached at the condition of the poor little girl.
Suddenly a healer came up to him and Kingsley with charts.
"Ma'am can you tell us anything you can tell us about the girl-"
"Boy."
Both Arthur and Shacklebolt looked at the healer in surprise.
"Pardon?" Shacklebolt asked.
"The child in this room is a boy, not a girl. Auror."
Kingsley continued.
"Oh, I see. Then can you tell us anything about the child."
"Well Auror from what we have gathered from the scans, the child is incredibly malnourished. Very underweight for a five year old.-"
"Five?!" Arthur interrupted.
There is no way this boy could be five. His own son Ronny was five and his son could easily tower over this little boy.
"Yes sir." The healer continued with a stern look.
"The child is also covered in bruises that have yet to be healed. May I ask Auror, How did you find this child?"
"We found this child in the west part of Muggle London behind a building next to the garbage. We were called to the scene when a strong pulse of magic was felt. With the strength of the magic we expected to find an adult wizard. Instead we found this small child unconscious next to a muggle who we found out later was what is known as a child sex trafficker."
Both Arthur and the healer gasped in shock and disgust.
"Yes. And my team and I noticed there was no adult wizard nearby that could be the parent. We brought the child here and delivered the muggle to the muggle authorities."
"You didn't obliviate him?" Arthur asked.
"No. No one will believe that monster."
Suddenly the healer hurriedly entered the boy's room when he was gaining conscience.
Arthur could see the child open his eyes. They were such a beautiful bluish mercury color. The eyes were at first cloudy from sleep, before they suddenly widen in fear and alarm.
The child spotted the healer and threw himself to the farthest corner of the bed.
The healer sat down in the chair next to the bed.
"Hello." the healer said gently.
"My name is Healer Brown. You were brought here because you were badly hurt. This is what you would call a hospital. But this is a special hospital. It is a hospital that takes care special people such as yourself."
Warily the boy nodded. The nurse continued.
"What you did out at the building is-"
"I'm sorry!" The child cried. "I-I-I d-didn't mean t-to do t-that! P-P-Pl-Please! It w-was an a-ac-accident! Please don't hit me!"
The healer, Kingsley and Arthur were shocked.
"No sweetie. There there it's okay. What you did is called magic, you were born with it. Magic is not something to be punished. There are many people who also have magic. No harm shall come to you."
"R-Really?" the child hiccuped. Arthur's heart broke at the look of hope in the child's eyes.
The healer smiled and nodded.
"Yes sweetie. Now we were helping you get better. Now there are two men who are coming in. They need to talk to you. One of them is like a police officer."
This set the boy on edge but he nodded at the healer and grabbed her robes.
"Can you stay with me?"
The healer nodded and both Kingsley and Arthur entered the room. The child edged closer to the healer who put a comforting hand on his head.
"Hello. I am Auror Kingsley Shacklebolt, an auror is a magical police. Me and my team found you outside a grocery store by the garbage, can you tell us why you were there?"
"I was h-hungry and looking for-r s-something t-to eat."
Arthur's heart pulled. This poor child.
"Can I ask where your Mum and Dad are?"
The child suddenly looked down, his face going very sad.
"I don't have parents."
Kingsley's posture stiffened. His face growing sad. More questions were asked and it was fifteen minutes later Arthur gently asked a question.
"What is your name?"
The boy looked at Arthur and said.
"I'm Darian."
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Darian's P.O.V-
When Darian first woke up, he never thought he would wake up in a world where magic was real. Not only that but that he also had magic!
And the best part was that he wasn't a freak! He wouldn't be punished for it. He was so happy.
The tall policeman asked him some questions and the man with red hair asked for his name. After Darian answered the questions the lady who he now knew was a magical doctor gave him bread with weird purple stuff on top. He looked at the doctor in confusion.
"That is called jam." She said with a smile.
Hesitantly Darian took a bite out of the bread and a delicious taste filled his mouth.
"Mhm! It's sweet!" Smiled Darian.
The men and the doctor smiled. He ate half the toast because it was so much. The doctor then gave him a glass of water.
When he started to feel his eyes close the doctor said he could sleep right now. She laid him down and out of instinct he grabbed on to a sort of cloth and fell asleep.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arthur Weasley P.O.V
Arthur stared at the tiny, pale hand that clutched his robes. This poor little boy had been through so much and he heart leapt when the child smiled at the sweet jam.
The healer quietly led him and Shacklebolt out of the room. She led them both to her office where she offered both a seat.
An assistant came in with a healers scan. She looked over the scan and then looked at both Shacklebolt and Arthur.
"So we have an orphaned wizard that has been living on the streets for almost two years. It's almost unheard of with population in children at a low thanks to the War. Usually a child would go to a wizarding family, but this child is a muggle so no pure blood family will take him in. But for right now, we'll be keeping him here for a while, this child is in desperate need of some nutrition potions."
It was after the discussion, Shacklebolt pulled Arthur aside and told him that the reason Kingsley called him down here was to ask Arthur if he could foster the boy named Darian until they could find a permanent home for him.
Arthur was taken aback, but he told Kingsley that he would do it but to allow him to ask his wife, Molly.
Later that night when Arthur got home to the Burrow, kissed his wife. Hugged his twin boys. Kissed his son Percy's cheek. Held onto his youngest son, Ronny for dear life and kissed his only daughter's forehead. His two oldest were at Hogwarts, but right now he wished both Billy and Charlie were here.
Molly served him dinner and Percy told him of the book he read today. He looked around at his family, Molly cleaning Ginny's face. The twins switching plates because Fred hates carrots and George hates corn but the other likes what the other doesn't like. Percy forcing a cup of water at his younger brother because Ron eats like a hog and tends to choke on his food.
Arthur was very blessed with what he had and that his family was all happy and healthy. He was blessed to be healthy to be there for his children. He couldn't imagine leaving his children in a situation that poor little Darian was in.
After dinner all the children were heading to bed. Arthur needed to talk to his wife about fostering Darian.
His beautiful wife came back into the kitchen, he could see she was tired, taking care of all his children while cooking and cleaning their home. His wife was such a strong and hard working woman, he felt incredibly guilty for wanting to also push this on her.
"Arthur darling."
Arthur was snapped out of his thoughts when his wife called his name.
"Darling what's wrong? You were a little quiet all through dinner. You didn't even get mad when I told you the twins put a dent in your car.-"
"What?!"
Molly laughed.
"I'm joking dear. Now tell me what's on your mind."
So Arthur told Molly everything; being called down to St. Mungo's by Kingsley Shacklebolt for a situation with an orphan muggle, the child's story and situation, and finally Kingsley's request. Arthur then told Molly that they did not have to foster the child.
Molly interrupted her husband to tell him she would like to see the child.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Weasley couple decided to go three days later. While all of his children were down for naps, his wife met him at St. Mungo's.
Molly and him headed to the children's ward, in front of little Darian's room.
The Weasley couple gazed into the window. And the sight before her tore at Molly's heart.
Inside the all white room was a small child in a large hospital gown. The boy was so small and it was shocking to see since the boy was the same age as her Ron.
Another thing that Molly noticed was that the boy was beautiful. He had shoulder length white blonde hair that made her think of a memory and the child had beautiful blue grey eyes.
The little boy glanced at Arthur's direction and smiled when he recognised Arthur. Both Arthur and Molly smiled back.
Arthur suddenly felt a strong grip on his sleeve and look towards his wife.
"Arthur, when can we take him home?"
Arthur smiled.
"We just need to talk to the healer about that love. Come, let's go meet him."
The next hour was spent getting to know little Darian and he could see his wife falling in love with him.
After Molly left to their children, Arthur talked to the healer who said that Little Darian was good to go in about a day.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
When Arthur got home, both him and Molly sat their children down at the dinner table.
"Alright poppets, there's something your mother and I need to tell you. In about a day we will have someone staying with us for a while. He's about Ronny's age and he's never been around magic."
"Is he a muggle?" Percy asked.
"Yes Percy he is muggle and he's been by himself for a long time. So all of you should not overwhelm him. That means you Fred and George."
"What-" "Dad-" "How-" "can-"
"How do you two do that?" asked Ron.
"Anyway, as I was saying he will be staying with us so I want you guys to be nice."
"Got it!" All his kids say in unison.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
No one's P.O.V
The next day Molly, Arthur, and Ron came to St. Mungo's to pick up Darian. At first both Arthur and Molly were nervous to bring their blunt son, but when Ron saw the blonde little boy, he suddenly went into big brother mode.
Ron ran to the small blonde and both introduced themselves. Then when the healer came in Ron watched her like an eagle. After Darian was discharged, they all flooed to the Burrow.
When all four got there Darian almost fell out of the fireplace if Arthur hadn't caught him. Darian then looked around in amazement.
Suddenly Darian saw four other kids. Twin boys, an older boy with glasses and a little girl. He nervously smiled at them.
Suddenly the twin boys came up to Darian.
"Hi I'm Fred!-" One boy said.
"And I'm George!-" Said the other.
"At your service!" Both boys said in unison. Sticking their hands out.
The older boy with glasses then came up behind the twins.
"Fred! George! Don't overwhelm him!"
He then looked at Darian, smiling gently.
"Hello, I'm Percival, but you can call me Percy."
Darian smiled back. Suddenly a small hand grabbed his shirt. Darian turned and saw it was the little girl, smiling at him.
"Hi! I'm Ginny."
Darian then looked at the red headed children.
"Hello I'm Darian. It's nice to meet you all."
After introductions were made Molly had Darian sit and play with the other kids while she made dinner. Darian saw the boy Percy reading. He walked to where Percy was sitting.
"What are you doing?"
Percy looked up at the blonde boy.
"I'm reading."
"Can you read to me?"
Percy looked surprised at the blonde. Almost all his siblings hated reading.
"Okay."
Darian then sat in front of Percy, who read about three brothers.
It had been about an hour later when Molly called all the kids to come and eat.
As the red headed children scrambled to sit and fill their plates, Darian eyes widen in awe at the huge amount of food on the table.
Molly looked back at her new foster son.
"Come on sweetie, there's plenty of food to go around."
She then guided the blonde to a seat between Percy and Arthur.
She then placed a plate filled with a piece of chicken with mash potatoes and some peas.
Darian marveled at the large amount of food on his plate. He took a small bite of the peas and found he liked them. Next was the chicken, which he found different but he could get used to it. He's never had meat before. He finished all the peas and some of the mashed potatoes before he felt he could eat no more.
After everyone was finished with Dinner. Molly took the children for baths. Darian was surprised to see a large bathtub. Both him and Ron were given a bath at the same time. He was amazed to feel the bubbles on his skin tickle.
After the bath Molly gave him a pair of Ron's pajamas that started to fit him too small.
"Now sweetie, we don't have much but you can have-"
"Are these pajamas?" Darian asked.
"Yes sweetheart."
"Thank you! I've never had pajamas before. They're so soft and warm." Darian said with a smile on his face. The pajamas were warm.
Surprised, Molly just smiled and led him to the large bed in Ron's room. She tucked him in next to Ron and kissed them both goodnight.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The next weeks had past with Darian being integrated into the Weasley household.
At first he was nervous that the family would get tired of him and tell him to leave, but it never came.
The Weasley children took to Darian really quickly. Ginny had someone to play tea with her. Ron would teach Darian how to play chess and the twins would sometimes include Darian in their pranks. Percy especially took a shine to the blonde since Darian loved it when Percy read to him. And when Darian told Percy he couldn't read, Percy taught him.
In the time Darian spent with the Weasleys he came out of his shell and he saw the red headed children as siblings. And the Weasley children started to see him as their own.
When summer rolled around the Weasley clan plus Darian headed to the train station to pick up Bill and Charlie.
Darian had been told about the two older sons who went to a magical school that took them away for most of the year. Though Ron and Molly expressed that Bill and Charlie were really nice, Darian was still scared if the boys thinking he was encroaching their territory.
At the train station, Darian held onto Ron and Ginny's hand as they waited for the older Weasley kids.
Darian looked around the station in wonder at so many people around, he suddenly realized everyone here had magic! It made him understand that he was never alone.
Finally both Bill and Charlie showed up in front of the Weasley clan. Molly immediately hugged her two sons and brought them over to where Darian was.
The two Weasleys knelt in front of Darian who instinctively got closer to Ron.
"Hello, I'm Bill and you must be Darian."
Darian smiled shyly and nodded.
The other older boy then ruffled the blonde's hair.
"Hi! And I am Charlie!"
After the introductions were made, Molly noticed people staring at them but particularly her foster son.
She huddled the boy close to her.
"Come along children, it's already lunch time."
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Time went on until almost a year had passed when Darian joined the Weasley family.
It was about a month when Bill and Charlie went back to Hogwarts did Arthur get a call to meet Kingsley Shacklebolt at the Leaky Cauldron.
When Arthur got there he shook Kingsley's hand and motioned to have a seat.
"Well Arthur I know it took so long but we found Little Darian a permanent home in the northern part of Sweden."
Arthur froze. He was not expecting this, it had already been almost a year.
Arthur knew he sounded selfish but he did not want to give Darian back, the boy was a son to him. He was there when Darian would get his nightmares, Arthur was there when all Darian wanted for his birthday was a hug. Arthur was the one who saw the look on Darian's face when he first tried cake on the twin's birthday. He was that boy's father in all but blood.
But.
But Arthur knew this day would come, they were only meant to foster the boy until a home could be found. And now the time had come and he didn't want to let the blonde boy go.
Kingsley then continued to tell Arthur that he will pick the boy up tomorrow.
Kingsley then left, leaving Arthur slumped in the chair.
Slowly Arthur got up and apparated to the Burrow.
When he got home Molly came up to greet her husband, but stopped when she saw a sad look on her husband's face.
"Dear.. What's wrong."
"Kingsley wanted to meet with me today..
He found a home for Darian."
The cup that Molly had in her hands fell to the floor, shattering the cup into pieces. Her eyes widen in shock, tears glistening them. She silently brought her hand up to cover her mouth.
"Kingsley said he will be here in the morning to pick Darian up."
"So soon?" Molly's voice trembled.
Arthur didn't answer, it was getting harder to keep it together.
"Molly, we have to tell Darian."
Both Molly and Arthur headed to the living area. Molly called down for Darian.
When the sweet blonde boy who was practically their son came down, Molly only wished to hug him.
"Darian, come here please."
Darian sat on the couch between Molly and Arthur.
"Darian, do you remember that you would be staying here until Auror Shacklebolt could find you a nice home."
Darian slowly nodded.
Arthur continued. "Well Auror Shacklebolt found you a n-nice home for you."
Darian suddenly stood up.
"You mean I won't be here anymore."
"Well-"
"No!"
The three on the couch turned towards the yell.
Standing red faced was Ron. His fist were balled up and he was shaking.
"No Darian you can't leave!!"
"Ron!-"
"No he's staying here!"
Suddenly the thudding noise of footsteps were heard.
"What's going on?!" Said the twins.
"Dad's friend is taking Darian away.!"
Fred, George, and Ginny looked in horror.
"No!,he can't-"
"-Do that!"
"Daddy no!!"
"He belongs here!"
All the boys were tearing up and Ginny was bawling.
"Just because his hair is yellow-"
"-doesn't mean he still isn't our brother!"
"Daddy he's ours!"
"Yeah dad he belongs to us!"
"Why little Dari is practi-"
"-cally a Weasley!"
"What's with all the yelling?"
Everyone turned towards the glasses wearing Weasley.
"Perce dad and mom are taking Darian away!"
"What?"
Finally Arthur was able to speak.
"Listen Auror Shacklebolt found a good home for Darian to live so he won't have to stay with us anymore."
Arthur looked to his wife but found her with her head down, eyes shining.
"D-do you not want me a-anymore?"
Arthur looked at the blonde boy who was trying to keep the tears in his eyes. Arthur was also close to breaking down.
"No dear that's not it. We will always want you here. We just thought a new home would be better for you" Molly said with her voice cracking.
Darian was quiet for a while and Arthur was thinking that the little blonde boy was thinking it over.
Suddenly Darian let out a sob.
"I-I d-do-don't wann-na g-go!! I-I like it here! I-I h-have brothers here! And a lit-little si-sist-er who lo-love me and pl-play with me! PAPA, MAMA PL-PLEASE DON'T SEND ME AWAY!!"
Darian was sobbing his little heart out. Arthur and Molly dashed to the blonde, both holding him a tight embrace between them.
Both were in complete shock, Darian has never called them mom and dad.
Molly suddenly grabbed her sobbing son's face.
"Oh no sweetie! We want you! Do you hear me? You are our son! As long as you'll have us."
"Yes son, you are ours, you are a Weasley!"
Both Molly and Arthur had tears in their eyes.
The Weasley children soon joined the hug, getting as close to their new brother as they could.
After the tears were dried, Molly took their children upstairs to bed.
Arthur called out.
"I have to make a call to Kingsley."
Arthur then flooed Kingsley telling the Auror that the Weasleys will be keeping Darian. And then told the man to send him papers to adopt Darian.
As Arthur ended the floo call he was surprised to turn around to see his older son, Percy.
His son had a serious look his face.
"If you ever try to take my brother away again, I'll never forgive you."
His son then headed upstairs while Arthur stood in shock that his quiet, well-behaved son just threatened him.
As Arthur headed to his bedroom, he saw all of his children and Molly on his bed.
"They were all afraid that we would take him away while they slept."
Sighing, Arthur just joined everyone in the bed and suffered having George's knees dig into his back.
The next days Darian became Darian Gideon Weasley, officially. And Arthur also received letters from both his sons at Hogwarts telling him it was a dumb to even think to send their blonde brother away.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
After adopting Darian, life became a little more cramped, but also happier. He was officially a Weasley.
Darian's life now consisted of playing with Ginny, beating Ron at chess, and helping Molly in the kitchen. He loved the twins very much and they never pranked him except for that one time they put a contraption that makes farting noise under his chair at dinner.
But it was with Percy, that Darian had the strongest bond with. Everyday Darian would go to Percy, who would teach him how to read. And when Darian could finally read, he would still sit by Percy and read whatever book was available.
He also always wanted to go with Arthur to work. Arthur explained to Darian that his work would bore him, Darian disagreed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One day Arthur finally decided to take both Percy and Darian to work with him. He had them sit in his office, helping him organize paperwork.
Suddenly he had to be called away, but instructed the boys to stay in his office.
Moments later Darian had to go to the bathroom. He begged his brother to take him, much to his brother's reluctance.
After using the bathroom, the brothers headed back to their father's office. Suddenly a large old man was in front of them.
The old man happened to be Minister Cornelius Fudge.
"Well, well it seems two children are in my building. Tell me children, where is your parent?"
Nervous, Percy was about to answer before his younger brother did.
"Good day sir, we are here with our father, Arthur Weasley. He brought us along to see how the wondrous ministry worked sir."
Percy looked at his brother in surprise, he sounded almost like those snotty purebloods. Percy then shook his head, his little brother was nothing like those people.
The Minister smiled with a smug look on his face.
"You're Weasley's you say? My first time seeing a blonde Weasley. In fact you remind me of someone..."
Suddenly Arthur came down the hall looking frantically around. Relief
filled him when he saw his two sons but stiffen when he saw Cornelius Fudge, Minister of Magic.
"Goody day Minister."
"Ah!, Mr. Weasley! I just ran into your children here. Quite good manners your sons have. Well boys I must be off, a job of a minister is never done."
The minister then patted the tops of the Weasley boys' heads.
Arthur then rushed his boys into his office.
The next day, Arthur came home in a sort of daze. When his wife ask, Arthur told her that he got a raise.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Years had soon past for the Weasley family. Darian was the happiest he had ever been. Though he knew his mum did not give birth to him, he would always consider himself a Weasley. He had six brothers and one sister. On Sundays the whole family would go outside and sleep under the star.
But as Darian grew in the wizarding world, he realized that not everything was all good and nice. He had learned about this when his older brothers taught him about the Wizarding world, and who He who shall not be named. Ron had told him that You-know-who and his followers called the death eaters had killed many muggleborn wizards. Darian wondered if his birth parents were victims.
Other bad things that Darian was taught was "mudblood" a derogatory term for muggleborns. That purebloods were a bunch of supremacists who thought themselves above everyone else. Darian didn't get it, why does blood even matter, blood looks the same when it is shed.
The last thing was the worst for Darian, because it was directed at his family.
"Blood traitor"
It was a world given to the Weasley family for being in favor of muggleborns. And Darian hated it, he hated when people looked down on his family. When the snobby kids in their rich robes would mock his siblings. Percy hated that word the most.
When he would think of all the money and nice things the pureblood kids would have, he really pitied them. Those kids had to practically be perfect for their parents and be paraded around like a pretty pet.
Darian had it all, at least in his books. He had a family who loved him and a bed to rest his head at night. He loved to hug his parents and siblings all the times. He had parents who kissed him goodnight and had time for him. He was rich in the only thing he wanted when living in the streets.
But he could understand that money does afford a type of luxury that many would want, such as nice clothes and fast brooms, but with time clothes will fade and another new model of broom would be better than the one before.
He just wished his brother Ron understood that. His brother tends to be very bullheaded and was the source of some of Darian's headaches. But no matter how bullheaded Ron was, he is still Darian's brother.
There was one thing about magic that Darian never got, and it was if it was different in everyone. With his sibling they would have little burst of accidental magic, but with Darian it would be a little bigger when angry. But after the night he was found the magic that course through his body became natural to him. After Darian learned how to read he would read his older brothers' school books and learn all he could about magic. One time he actually accio'd a mop to him without a wand. So he practiced when no one was looking. Darian didn't want Ron and Ginny to be jealous at him for learning so quick and hate him.
Now after years of seeing his brothers off, it was finally Ron and Darian's turn to go to Hogwarts. Both him and Ron cheered when they received their letters. The only thing is, he's going to miss his mom, dad, and sister.
He wondered what would be in store for him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heading to Hogwarts, Darian was completely nervous but luckily he had Ron, Fred, George, and Percy to look out for him. As they got to the train station the Weasley matriarch instructed her children to go through the entrance, he was about to go behind Ron when a kid with black hair and green eyes was watching his family go through. Darian almost panicked until he saw the other boy's items, including a pretty snow owl.
Darian had went up to the boy and when it was revealed that he didn't know how to go to 9 3/4, Darian instructed the kid and both went through. As soon as they were through, Darian waved the boy goodbye.
As he caught up with his family, his mother gave him and his brothers kisses on the foreheads and pats from their father. Before Darian got on the train, he gave his little sister a hug and promised to write her as soon as he could.
What Darian did not know was that when his brother Ron and him got onto the train they would be sharing a compartment with the green eyed boy who ended up being Harry Potter.
On the way to Hogwarts, all three boys would strike up a friendship, Darian explaining the magical world to a boy who had also lived in the muggle world.
After the three boys would meet a girl with large frizzy hair. Though his brother thought of her as a know-it-all, Darian was happy to speak to someone about books. The girl's name was Hermione Granger, a muggle born witch.
Finally the train would arrive to Hogwarts. Darian absorbed the amazing sights before him; the half giant named Hagrid, the boats, ghosts, the paintings, and finally the Great Hall.
He stared in amazement at the ceiling and floating candles. He will soon be sorted into a house, he already figured from Percy that a hat will do the sorting. He never bothered to tell Ron that the twins were pulling his leg when they said the sorting was done by fighting a troll. Darian to enjoyed a good prank.
Speaking of Percy, Darian looked towards his brother who was a prefect in Gryffindor. Even though they would both be attending Hogwarts, he felt as if his brother grew a little bit arrogant. He wished him and his big brother could be close again.
Suddenly Darian was brought out of his thoughts by a dark skinned boy in front of Harry and Ron.
"Well it's true then, what they're saying on the train. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts. I'm Zabini, Blaise Zabini."
Darian heard his brother snicker, this caught the attention of the dark skin boy.
"Oh you think my name is funny do you. Ridiculous red hair..I could smell the blood traitor on you, you must be a Weasley."
Before his brother could charge at the boy, Darian put his hand in front of his brother, immediately stopping him.
The Zabini kid noticed and looked at Darian.
"Well it seems the rumors are true, a pretty Weasley, I never thought you Weasleys came in more than one color.
Pretty? He wasn't his sister.
Darian could feel his brother foaming at the mouth, ready to attack the Zabini boy.
But Darian knew that pureblood children craved attention, whether bad or good. And he was not going to give the boy any.
Darian kept his face neutral and his posture straight. He just raised a single pale eyebrow and then turned towards Ron and Harry.
"We should be finding a seat, it seems this area is starting to get filled with hot air."
He grabbed his brother and Harry, but as he was about to lead them to the tables the boy called out.
" You'll soon find out that some wizarding families are better than others, Potter. You don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there."
Harry glared at Zabini.
"I think I can figure out the wrong sort for myself."
Harry suddenly tugged Darian's hand and lead him to a table, Ron following after.
The Zabini boy looked humiliated and glared at the three of them.
The introductions continued. Suddenly it was time for the sorting.
The girl Hermione Granger was sorted into Gryffindor.
When Harry's turn came the whole hall became quiet as Harry sat on the stool. As the hat was placed on his head the whole hall stared at the famous boy-who-lived.
"Gryffindor!"
The whole Gryffindor table cheered and Darian could hear Fred and George shout "We got Potter!"
Darian shook his head and smiled.
After the excitement was over the sorting continued.
Ron of course was placed in Gryffindor.
And suddenly it was his turn. As Darian walked to the stool many whispered around him in surprise of seeing a blonde Weasley.
Darian sat on the stool and the Deputy headmistress McGonagall placed the sorting hat on his head.
"Well, aren't you interesting child? A child that is capable of such power. Let it be known boy, that only you can choose your own path. Let no one influence your life. But I can see you are kind, you put your family first. Another thing you are is wise but cunning. You have the potential to be a Slytherin, in another life, you could have been a slytherin prince. But with your smart it is decided, the house for you is..."
"Ravenclaw!!"
Darian handed the hat to Professor McGonagall and headed to his table, he was greeted with clapping. The rest of the sorting took place until the last being that Zabini kid, who was placed in slytherin. Darian felt he dodged the muggle bullet.
After dinner Darian bid to his brothers and Harry a good night. All his brothers were disappointed that he was not in gryffindor with them.
He and the rest of his new housemates were given the tour of Ravenclaw house and the rules. That night on his pillow, Darian felt strange not having Ron close by.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Many years had passed for Darian at Hogwarts. He enjoyed his housemates, classes, and made friends.
But unfortunately not all was good. Almost every year the threat of Voldemort would rear it's ugly head. It was second year when Darian finally beat the truth out of Ron, when their sister started acting weird.
While Darian would rather not get involved, he could not stand by and let his brother, Harry, and Hermione get hurt. He did as much as he could with helping the trio, especially since Ron didn't want him involved. As if he could just let his brother and friends go head first into danger, over Darian's dead body.
With his house, people were nice but a little snooty, except for the Patel girl. In his second year a girl with platinum hair and dreamy eyes came into Ravenclaw. Unfortunately many in their house found her strange and usually avoided her. Darian found her strangeness refreshing from the stiffness of the rest of the house.
Her name was Luna Lovegood, or 'Loony' from meaner people. Luna would smile when she noticed no one would insult her in front of Darian Weasley. Unbeknownst to him, many had feared or were cautious around him. Even though he wasn't mean, he was sharp witted and had a sharp tongue to match.
He reminded Luna of not only the norse god Loki, but also a unicorn. He was a silver tongue that was really pretty and nice. A rare combination.
Many in the Ravenclaw house were confused by him. He was a muggleborn adopted by a pureblood family who were known as blood traitors for their status and beliefs. Yet if one did not know those facts people would believe this boy was a high class pureblood. He had the manners of an heir and he knew how to put people in their place.
Luna could not detect if he was really a wrackspurt or not.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
It happened when Percy was offered a job as junior assistant to Cornelius Fudge. He was So excited to finally be moving up in ranks. He told his family the news, hoping for mutual excitement, what he got was different.
"No! I refuse to have my son work for that man!"
"That man is our boss and minister of Magic!"
"Yes, but he also has affiliations to working with the dark lord!!"
"Arthur that's enough!"
"No he has to know! Our son has been living in denial!"
"That lunatic has not returned!! You're too obsessed with a prophecy that the headmaster told you!"
"How can you say that Crouch was found in the forest, you were brought in for questioning!!"
"That has nothing to do with this!"
"It has everything to do with this, Percy!"
"All of you just hang off the words of a senile old man and act as if Merlin shined out of his arse. One day he is going to get all of you arrested and sent to Azkaban for treason. And I won't be there when that happens!!"
"PERCIVAL WEASLEY DO NOT DISRESPECT YOUR FORMER HEADMASTER LIKE THAT!!"
Darian who was in the sitting room stood in front of his father and brother.
"Dad, Percy please that's enough already."
"What happened to my son, you were respectful to everyone, now you are acting like one of those purebloods!"
"We are purebloods, dad! And it's about time you both should start acting like it! All you do is mess with muggle junk. Why are you so obsessed with those mudbloods!!"
Darian suddenly froze, tears slipping from his eyes. Percy, Molly, and Arthur noticed. Eyes widen in horror, Percy realized his mistake.
"D-Darian! I-I didn-!"
With a flash of light Darian was no longer in his spot.
Darian landed in a place that he had no longer resided. The old abandoned church in the southern part of Muggle London. He used to sleep here on nights of horrible rain. It was just as he had remembered it.
Darian collapsed on the ground, tears freely falling. He cried for what seemed like hours. It hurt so much to hear his brother say those words. The brother who taught him how to read, held his hand, and read him stories. How could his brother just disregard his family, for him. Did Percy just see him as a burden?
Darian needed to see someone. Suddenly he apperated.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Charlie Weasley was a little tense, he had just received a letter from his mother.
Apparently a fight between his father and Percy broke out, Percy said some mean things and now Darian was nowhere to be found. He was walking to find his boss to go look for his youngest brother.
Charlie was greeted with a commotion. Coming up to Eva Garcia.
"Garcia what's going on?"
"Hello Charlie, it seems like Gwenwell found a blonde kid being surrounded by Norberta. We tried to get him away but Norberta won't let us close."
Charlie stared at his colleague.
"Blonde kid?"
Charlie was taken to Norberta and much to his horror, Darian was on top the Norwegian Rideback.
"DARIAN! HAVE YOU GONE MAD?! MOM AND DAD ARE WORRIED SICK AND YOU'RE CUDDLING A DRAGON?!"
Darian got off Norbert, and landed a few feet away.
Suddenly Charlie's arms were full of sad brother. Charlie held his brother closer and patted his head.
"It's okay Lemon."
"I'm not a lemon!" Darian said with his head buried in Charlie's shoulder.
It was a joke that Bill came up with, a lemon in a family of oranges. But they were all citrus.
"Lemon you need to go home, mom, dad, and the siblings are worried."
"Would they want me back, Percy sai-"
"I read what Percy said, and he didn't mean it. After you left Percy apparated out of the Burrow. You know Percy didn't mean it, he just has his head up his ass right now."
Darian nodded but kept his face buried into his brother's shoulder. Three hours had passed and Darian knew it was time to come home.
Charlie asked if he wanted him to go, Darian turned down the offer. He waved at his brother goodbye before he vanished.
When Darian landed, he was outside the Burrow. It was already dark outside, maybe about two in the morning.
Mom was going to kill him.
As he entered the house, Darian looked around and saw no one in the sitting room, he knew people were asleep.
Suddenly he saw his mom in the kitchen. She was pacing around the kitchen, but stopped when she saw Darian.
Immediately she ran up to him and crushed him to her body. Darian's arms came up to hug her back, basking in her warmth.
Maybe he woul-
A large smack noise and pain in the back of his head interrupted him.
So much for not being in trouble.
"OW!!"
"DARIAN GIDEON WEASLEY! WHERE ON EARTH HAVE YOU BEEN?! YOUR FATHER AND I WERE WORRIED SICK!! GONE A WHOLE DAY WITH NO WAY OF FINDING YOU! YOU JUST APPARATED AND NO ONE COULD FIND YOU! RIGHT NOW YOUR FATHER, BROTHERS AND GINNY ARE OUT THERE LOOKING FOR YOU! THERE ARE DEATH EATERS OUT THERE, WHAT IF ONE FOUND YOU!!!-"
Suddenly his mother started to tear up and Darian felt his owns eyes began to water. He hated when his mother cried.
"M-mama please. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to just apparate like that, it was an accident. It's just. It hurt to hear Percy say that. To think that he never even wanted me here, it made me think that maybe no!!-"
Darian felt another smack on the back of his head.
"Ow mom! That hurt!"
"Well so does my heart because I didn't know where my youngest son was! I know what Percy said, but Darian he did not mean it. You two were always close and Percy knows you're his brother, the hell with blood. After you apperated, Percy broke down, he ran out when we tried to get close. Bill's trying to find him also."
As on cue, the door was slammed open with Bill helping a drunk Percy in the Burrow. Darian could hear Percy slurring.
Bill was about to lead him to his room when Percy saw Darian.
He stopped at the entrance of the kitchen, and maybe it was the firewhiskey, but he could only see his little brother, when his parents brought him home from St. Mungo's. A little blonde boy with big blue-grey eyes. Darian had worn clothes that were large on him. The little boy he would read to everyday, the brother who would ask to sleep with him when Ron's snoring became too much.
He hurt his brother with the same kind of cruel words that he always hated hearing about. He remembered that Fudge used to like Darian until he found out Darian was muggleborn, then Fudge just ignored his existence. The only reason Percy wanted to work in the ministry was so he could change it for his brother. Now it seems he had lost sight of that, and he hurt Darian in the process.
Percy looked at his little brother and he could feel tears fall from his eyes.
"D-Darian I-I'm so sorry I uh I didn't mean any of i-it. I should have never said that word."
Darian looked at his brother in shock, he has never seen his brother so uncomposed. Or rather pissed, Percy claimed he hated drinking, but really he was a lightweight. Percy looked as he'd been crying for hours.
Percy was a complete mess, and that moved Darian.
Signaling to Bill, Darian helped Percy to his room. He cleaned his brother up and changed him for bed. All the while Percy would mumble his sorrys and told Darian he loved him.
Darian kissed his brother's forehead after laying Percy in his bed.
Heading downstairs, Darian saw the rest of his family arrive. Ginny and Ron spotted him and were about to go to him when their father pushed them out of the way. Darian felt himself get crushed into his father. His father held him as if Darian would leave again.
Darian then felt his siblings come up and hug him also.
"Son, please don't ever do that to us again, I don't know what I would do if anything had happened to you."
"I'm sorry dad, I didn't mean to scare you guys. It's just that I felt I needed to leave, but not anymore, you're my family."
He hugged his family and held them like a lifeline.
Their mother came in demanding everyone to go to bed.
"Oh, and Darian, you're grounded for going to Romania and cuddling with a dragon."
"But mom!"
The next morning Percy woke up with a great hangover. His head felt as if it would split. He then remembered how he got a hangover.
Darian. After his brother apperated out of the Burrow, Percy broke down, tears springing from his eyes.
When his father reached out to him, Percy ran. He didn't deserve his father's comfort, not after what he said to his own brother.
When Percy finally stopped, he was in front of Hog's Head. Usually he hated this certain establishment, because of the unsavory crowd, but after what he said today, he might as well be one of the once known death eaters that inhabited the tavern.
Once he entered the establishment he just swallowed down drink after drink. He hadn't cared, he just wanted to forget the heartbroken look on his brother's face. Percy didn't know how long he was there, Aberforth looked at him with worry, finally cut him off after a while.
Percy felt he had been there for a while when he recognized his oldest brother Bill enter the tavern.
His brother just looked at him with a sigh and easily hauled him to his feet.
Percy tried communicating to his brother, but he was sure it was coming out slurred. Bill just rubbed his back. After that Percy blacked out.
Now here he was in his room with his pajamas on and his glasses on his stand.
Just then the door opened and came in Darian with a vial of potion and a glass of water.
Percy stared as his brother set the potion used to cure hangovers and the glass down.
"Darian.."
The blonde had yet to look at him.
"Darian, please."
Finally his brother looked at him. His brother looked sad.
Percy felt his eyes get wet.
"Darian, I'm so sorry! Please I didn't mean any word of that. I was angry, but even that should not excuse what I have done.
I never meant to say that word to you. I was angry that dad wouldn't hear me out. I've become so absorbed with getting in the ministry, I lost sight of why."
"Why do you want to work for the ministry so bad Percy, it's full of the kind of people you despise."
"It's because of you."
"Me?"
"Yes, you Darian can pass for a pureblood child. But when Fudge realized you were muggleborn, he treated you like you don't exist. As if you were dirt beneath his shoe. And I know there are others like that and I was tired of it. You and other muggleborns are just as capable of magic as the purebloods, maybe even better. I know you have stronger magic than all of us."
Percy then turned away from his brother.
"But when I was in the ministry for once I felt like a pureblood wizard, not a poor blood traitor. I felt that people were taking me seriously, not as a joke. And I loved that change and then when Fudge offered me a position as his assistant, I thought that I was really moving up in the world. That I was being seen like how the rest of the pureblood men my age were being treated. So when dad said no, I lashed out. Though I feel like they listen to Headmaster Dumbledore to much, I shouldn't have said those words. But in all of this, I hurt you the most and not just with the 'm' word, but that I pulled from you when I started Hogwarts. I'm so sorry Darian."
Percy was surprised when he felt his brother's arms wrap around him. But he just gripped him hard, just like he did for about a month after Darian was almost taken from their home.
Though Percy would never admit it out loud, Darian was his favorite brother. In dividing out; Bill had Charlie due to closeness in age, the twins had each other, and with Ron and Ginny it was closeness in age and the fact that they always bonded over quidditch. Before Darian, Percy would just be by himself and read. And especially after Bill and Charlie left to Hogwarts, he was always off by himself, none of his siblings enjoyed reading or learning new things like he did.
When Darian entered their lives, Percy thought that it would be another sibling to ignore him. But instead he was given a purpose when Darian first came up to him and asked him to read him the book Percy happen to be reading, for once Percy felt needed.
"I forgive you, Percy. You're my brother and I love you. But please always remember this moment when you begin to lose yourself again. And I know you weren't thinking, but those words had hurt me and it hurt more that you had said them."
"I know Dar, and I am so sorry-"
"But I think you and dad can work out a compromise." Darian interrupted his brother.
Looking in confusion Percy could only look at his brother. "What?"
Later that day Darian sat his whole family down to tell of his plan, to let Percy keep his job, but he would also be a spy. Making it look like Percy is separated from the rest of the Weasleys as to not draw suspicion. Both Arthur and Molly rejected the idea but Percy stated if Voldemort was truly back, someone in the ministry would know.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Darian felt his heart break into a million pieces.
Darian had always thought his parents were muggle born wizards, or at least one of them. There was also a time in his life when he thought his parents abandoned him because of his magic, he had thought of a million reasons of who his parents were.
But he could never have imagined this.
But there it was staring in front of him on a tapestry found in Sirius Black’s home. That man was always staring at Darian and the blonde never knew why, and the man himself never gave him a reason just stated Darian reminded the man of someone.
Now, now the answer was staring right in front of him. He was a pureblood wizard, a pureblood wizard from a dark magic family. And not just a regular one, no THE elite dark wizard family.
Malfoy.
As in the family whose had a long blood feud with his family, the name who his whole family had a great distaste for. The name of those who were for blood purity, those who followed a madman that wanted to kill the people he loved.
Darian felt himself tremble.
“You're a Malfoy?!” Ron yelled and Darian felt himself flinch, he heard the disgust in his older brother’s voice.
No, not his brother. There was no way Ron would ever claim a Malfoy as his brother, or a son to his parents.
The blonde continued to stare at the tapestry, trying to find the lie. Though none could be found, there on the cloth did two names connect to his name.
He clutched his chest, tears already springing from his eyes. He couldn't look at anybody in the room, he does not want to see the looks of hate on his family and friends, the anger, mistrust. He would die if he's that look of his mother and father's faces, he couldn't handle it.
Lost in his turmoil, he didn't notice the looks of concern sent his way nor hear his name being called by a concerned Hermione. He needed to leave, no one would want him there.
And suddenly he felt the pull of apparation.
--------------------------------------------------------------
If Darian hadn't been in such a complete panic, he would have found if funny in a terrible way that his chosen apparation point c
