Cisco Ramon X Child! Reader - Always There

You were a metahuman. You didn’t know that though. All you knew was that you could control water or anything that contained water. Humans and animals were included in that.

When you found out what you could do, you were very happy. You were just like Katara from The Last Airbender. She was your favorite character and when you showed your parents, their expressions turned sour. Even though you were just twelve, your parents put you out on the streets.

It took a few months, but you had finally gotten total control over your powers. That was when S.T.A.R. Labs caught wind of you. You weren’t doing anything bad that they knew of, but there were reports of a child stealing food with no trouble at all. The people who filed the reports claimed that they couldn’t move at all when a young girl came up to them. She took what she wanted from their cart and just walked away. It was only when she was out of sight that they could move again.

“So this little girl is a metahuman?” Barry said. “All I knew about it was what Joe told me.”

“She is and we have to find her,” Caitlin said. Cisco and Dr. Wells agreed and Barry zoomed off to find you.

---

“Guys? I can’t find her. Are you having any luck?” Barry said into his earpiece.

“No. But we’re looking,” Cisco said. When he finished, a ping went off.

“She’s where we found Ronnie,” Cisco said. “Get her then bring her back okay?”

“Got it!” In a matter of seconds, Barry was there. He saw you under the overpass and you were playing with some water. When he tried to get closer to you, you held up a hand in his direction.

“What do you want from me?” You said. Your eyes never left the water moving in midair in front of you but you knew that no matter how fast this man was, he couldn’t move one inch.

“I’m here to bring you somewhere safe,” the man said.

“And by that you mean the orphanage. Just because I’m little doesn’t mean that I’m stupid.”

“That’s not where I was talking about. I’m just like you see?” He tried to move, but he couldn’t.

“Don’t even try to move. You’ll just hurt yourself,” you said.

“How are you doing this?”

“The human body is more than sixty percent water. Water makes up ninety-two percent of blood, the brain and muscles are seventy-five percent water and bones are twenty-two percent water. I don’t know how, but I can control water.”

“How do you know all of that? How old are you?”

“I’m smart and twelve. Now please leave before I seriously hurt you.” You let him go and turned back to your water.

“You can’t hurt me,” the man said.

“Is that a challenge?” You said.

“Don’t test her Barry!” Dr. Wells said. “She can and will hurt you.”

“No, it’s just fact.” He started to run, but you caught him.

“No, it’s not. For example, if you tried to run as fast as you could right now, your blood would leave your body,” you said. “Go ahead and try it.”

“Don’t do it Barry!” Cait yelled. “She’s telling the truth. No matter how fast you heal, you would be out of commission for a week at the least.”

“She can take all of the blood out of your body. Along with all of the water you have,” Dr. Wells said. “She could kill you if she wanted to.”

“Are your cronies talking to you? Are they telling you how I’m not lying and that I could kill you?”

“They are. But I don’t believe that you could kill someone. You’re just not that kind of person.”

“Well you’re wrong! I have before and I’ll do it again if I have to!” You yelled. Your hand tightened into a fist and Barry saw red. Literally. Blood was coming out of his pores and he immediately felt dizzy.

“Your vitals are dropping!” Cisco said. “You need to leave.”

“I can’t really leave right now Cisco!” Barry said.

“Did you just say the name Cisco? Is his name Cisco Ramone?” You asked him.

“Yes,” Barry gasped out. You let him go and he fell to his knees.

“I’m sorry I did that. Is there a way that I could talk to him?”

“You guys should get over here,” Barry said. “I can’t move and she wants to talk to you Cisco.”

“Tell him that I’m [y/n].”

“She says her name is [y/n].”

“Did you just say [y/n]? What does she look like?” Cisco said.

“She has [h/c] hair and [e/c] eyes.”

“We’ll be there as soon as we can,” Caitlin said.

“They’re on the way here.”

“Cool,” you said. “Drink this.”

Barry took the water bottle you gave him and took a long drink. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. I’m really sorry about what I just did. I didn’t mean to. It-it just happened.”

“It’s fine. I know you didn’t mean to,” He said. “I’m Barry by the way.”

“Hi Barry.” The rest of the time you two spent together was silent until the van showed up. When Cisco jumped out of the van, you ran to him.

“Cisco!” You yelled as you jumped into his arms.

“Oh Dios mío [y/n]. They told me that you died.” Cisco held you close and you cried into his shoulder.

“They kicked me out Cisco. When they saw what I could do with water, they threw me out of the house with nothing!” Cisco shushed you and brought you closer.

“It’s alright now [y/n]. I’m here,” he said. Over where Barry was, Cait and Dr. Wells were helping Barry up.

“How do they know each other?” Barry asked.

“Their families were very close friends and allies, so Cisco and [y/n] have known each other for a long time. Even though there is a very big age gap, they are like brother and sister,” Caitlin explained.

“It was always fun when [y/n] came over to the lab. She’s very smart for her age and isn’t afraid to show it off,” Dr. Wells said. The tree of them walked over to you and Cisco.

“It’s very nice to see you again miss [y/n],” Dr. Wells said.

“Hi Dr. W,” you said. “Hi Cait.”

“Hi [y/n],” Cait said. “Can I get a hug?” You nodded and ran over to her. She held you close too and after a while you let go of her to give a hug to Dr. Wells. After that, you went straight back to Cisco.

“I think it’s high time to go back to the lab,” Dr. Wells said. Everyone agreed and you all piled into the van.

---

On the way to the lab, you had fallen asleep in Cisco’s arms. He was petting your hair and softly singing a lullaby. The sight was a sweet one and no other words were spoken other than the lullaby.

“I’m so glad that you’re safe,” Cisco murmured to you. You shifted in your sleep and moved closer to Cisco.

“She seems like a good person,” Barry said.

“She is. And when she said that she was sorry she meant it,” Cisco said. “That isn’t a word that she used lightly.”

“We’re not locking her in the pipeline,” Barry said.

“Cisco wouldn’t let that happen if that was even an option,” Dr. Wells said. “She’s not going in there. She’s going to be trained.”

---

For the next month, you were trained and put through some tests. You could now control your powers to the fullest and it was amazing. If there was enough water in the air, you could use that and when you controlled a human or animal, it didn’t hurt them at all.

For the first time since you got your powers you were accepted for it. Even the homeless people that banded together shunned you. It was great that you had gotten help and from the best people in the world too. And do you know what’s awesome? You knew The Flash. How awesome is that? But what was even more awesome was that you got to see the person you were closest to.

No matter what you went through, Cisco was always there. Even when you met Caitlin and Dr. Wells, Cisco was always the number one person in your life. The one who was always a phone call away no matter what. And you finally had him back.
