Tadashi X Reader - Park Strolls
Today was your first Valentine’s Day with Tadashi. He did all the planning and didn’t let you in on anything. The only thing you knew is that you needed to wear something warm and that he’d pick you up from your dorm room at seven. So when seven rolled around, you jumped when you heard a knock on your door. Honey Lemon laughed quietly at you when you went to answer the door.
“Happy Valentine’s Day [y/n],” Tadashi said. He handed you a single sunflower.
“Thank you Tadashi. I love it.” You went back into the room and found a glass of water.
“I’ll give it a proper home when we come back,” you said.
You two left the room, hand-in-hand, and exited the building. Tadashi led you towards his scooter and handed you your helmet before starting the gas and taking off.
When you first started dating, you were afraid of the scooter. What if something hit you? What if Tadashi hit the brakes too hard and you went flying to your death? Those seemed like perfectly normal fears. Then you actually rode the thing.
Riding with Tadashi never made you feel scared. In fact, riding with him was one of your favorite ways to spend a date. A leisurely ride around the city with the one you loved most. Where you could wrap your arms around his waist and bury your face into his back. Tadashi loved it as well.
He loved how close the two of you were together and the feel of your arms around him. He couldn’t get enough of it. No matter how much it happened, the both of you hated getting off of that scooter. So it wasn’t a big surprise when you got to his house that you let out a big sigh before getting off the scooter.
Tadashi escorted you inside and what you saw took your breath away. Rose petals adorned the table that had a bouquet of roses in the middle and candles on either side. A pristine white table cloth was under all of it.
“Do you like it?” Tadashi asked.
“I love it Tadashi. Thank you!” You smiled and your whole face lit up. He smiled and took your hand, kissing the back of it.
“I’m glad,” he said. “I hope you don’t mind, but I planned on us cooking dinner together. Is that okay?”
“That sounds perfect.”
Tadashi brought out the ingredients and started making the meatballs. You put water on to boil the prepared the sauce. While you made dinner, there were a lot of stolen kisses and teasing. You loved to tease Tadashi about everything. He always played along and always got you back in the end. Nothing was taken to heart though. The two of you had a very pure love.
The spaghetti and meatballs didn’t take too long and soon enough you were eating. No words were exchanged during dinner. You just wanted to savor being near each other. Loving smiles passed between you. Your hand being squeezed every couple of minutes by Tadashi. Everything was perfect.
After dinner, Tadashi stood up and took you back outside. He silenced your question with a kiss and handed you your helmet. He drove the scooter for five minutes then stopped at a park.
“This is where we had our first date,” you said.
“I know,” Tadashi said with a smile. “I thought you’d like it.”
“I do. Very much.” You kissed him sweetly, intertwining your hands again.
The rest of the night was spent walking around the park. You got hot chocolate and caramel popcorn for dessert. Tadashi pointed out all the constellations he knew to you as you sat down on a bench, curled into his side. You helped as best as you could, only stopping when you heard music. A group of people went by, everyone playing a different instrument. You sat, entranced by the beautiful music. Tadashi taped your shoulder and handed you your viola case.
“Play with them,” he said.
You knew he set this up but you didn’t care. Music was your passion. You loved it. The group started playing and when you recognized it, your eyes lit up. It was your favorite piece at the moment. You took a deep breath and started on the viola solo.
Tadashi couldn’t tear his eyes off of you. The way your body moved with the music. The way your face held all of your emotions. The way your love and passion for music showed. He always knew that he loved you, but every single time he saw you play, he fell in love even more.
The song ended too soon for Tadashi’s liking but he clapped the hardest for you. You opened your eyes to the sound of clapping and saw that a little crowd had formed. You all bowed and the group dispersed. The group of musicians thanked you for playing with them then walked away.
“I know you staged that ‘Dashi,” you said, putting your viola away.
“Are you mad?”
“Not in the slightest.”
“Good.”
He took your viola and then your hand before going back to the scooter. You slung your instrument behind your back and climbed onto the scooter after Tadashi. The engine roared to life and he proceeded to drive you back to your dorm.
“I love you,” he said.
“I love you too.” Tadashi kissed you gently and you pulled away after a couple minutes. He brushed your hair behind your ear and gave you a chaste kiss before saying goodbye.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, my love,” he said. “Sleep well.”
You waved a small goodbye and went inside. Honey Lemon was asleep so you got dressed in your pajamas quietly. Tonight was amazing and you couldn’t wait to see the love of your life tomorrow.
