Daichi X Reader - Stress

You were the Queen of stress. Working while in college and having to take care of your siblings was hard work. Most people wouldn’t have been able to do it, but you weren’t most people. It also helped that you had someone by your side.

Daichi was always there for you. He never complained when you fell asleep in the living room while doing homework or when he had to pick you up at one in the morning because you had closed you work that night. Not one peep was heard because he had to put your siblings to bed. He was the best friend and boyfriend you could ask for.

Currently, you two had just dropped off your two brothers at their school and were now heading to your own school. Daichi was driving and you were falling asleep in the passenger seat. He had asked you a question and when he received no answer, glanced over at you. Seeing you fast asleep with homework on your lap, he sighed. He pulled out his phone and dialed your first teacher.

“Hello?”

“Hi Mr. Kishimoto. This is Sawamura Daichi.”

“Mr. Sawamura. How can I help you?”

“I was wondering if it would be alright if [y/n] and I didn’t come to class today.”

“May I ask why?”

“She overworked herself again.”

“Again? She really needs to stop that.”

“I know she fell asleep in the car doing homework,” Daichi said as he looked at you again. Mr. Kishimoto sighed.

“You are excused for today. Have you asked your other teachers yet?”

“No I have not.”

“Don’t worry about doing that I’ll explain the situation to them.”

“Thank you so much Mr. Kishimoto.”

“It’s no problem. You just tell Ms. [l/n] that she needs to stop overworking herself. Take away her homework and get her to rest for more than five minutes.”

“I got it,” Daichi said.

“Good. Well, goodbye Mr. Sawamura.”

“Goodbye sir.”

The two males hung up and Daichi made a U-Turn to go back home. You hadn’t even stirred once the whole trip. Because of that, Daichi had to carry you into the house. HE took off your shoes, put you into bed the left the room.

“Now to lock up her books,” Daichi said to himself. He walked out to the car, took your bag and went back into the house. Putting the bag into a cabinet, Daichi locked it and put the key on a string around his neck.

For the rest of the day, he was silent. He received emails confirming that you and he were fine with missing classes for today. When it was time to go pick up your brothers, Daichi wrote a note just in case you woke up when he was gone. He figured that he wouldn’t need to, but was better safe than sorry.

---

When he came back home with the boys, you were still asleep. Daichi had told your brothers that you were sleeping and that they needed to be very quiet. They both understood the situation and went to their room to do homework. It wasn’t until dinner time that you woke up. Rubbing your eyes, you made your way to the kitchen.

“What time is it?” You asked sleepily.

“Almost time to eat dinner,” Daichi replied.

“Dinner?” You were very confused.

“Yes, dinner.”

“But what about school?!”

“You didn’t go today.”

“What!” You started to panic. “I had an important test today!”

“It’s fine [y/n]. Your teachers excused you for today,” Daichi said as he started to sooth you.

“They did?”

“Yea.”

“Why?”

“Because they all know that you overwork yourself too often. So it was decided that you would be able to make up anything that you missed with no penalty.”

“I don’t overwork myself,” you said stubbornly.

“You do and you know it. I mean, come on. You fell asleep in the car while doing homework and didn’t wake up at all until just now,” Daichi said with a stern expression on his face. You rubbed the back of your neck sheepishly.

“I guess you’re right,” you said.

“I know I’m right. Now eat. I’ll get the boys.”

You sat down in your seat and once your siblings sat down as well, the four of you began to eat. After this day, Daichi began to make you go to bed at a reasonable time. With his help, you managed to control your schedule better and your stress went down drastically. Everything was easier and you got better grades than before.

You still would have been stuck in a big pile of stress if it weren’t for Daichi.
