Location: Headquarters Tech Room
*Sophia POV*
"Your first mission."
I don't know whether to feel worried or excited when I hear those words come from Manon's mouth. Even though I've been at this for a long time, this will be my first hacking job for Katseye.
Will I be able to handle it well? What kind of job will it be? Despite all the doubts swirling in my mind, I manage to confidently voice my next question.
"What's the mission?"
"I'm glad you asked. We're holding a meeting to discuss the plan right now. Follow me." Yoonchae leads the way out the door and toward the meeting room.
I move to follow her, but suddenly, Manon holds me back by grabbing my arm. I glance back at her and find her with a mischievous look in her eyes. She pulls me closer and plants a quick kiss on my lips.
I blush and quickly scan the area to see if anyone noticed. This isn't how I want to announce our relationship, after all. I breathe a sigh of relief when I realize we're the only ones in the room. When I turn back to Manon, she's pouting.
"Are you ashamed of being with me?" she asks, her voice dripping with feigned hurt.
"No! Of course not! I just want to tell the others about our relationship properly," I blurt out, anxious that Manon might misunderstand.
I expect her to get angry and accuse me of making excuses, but instead, she bursts into laughter. She gently pats my cheek and gestures toward the door.
"Let's go. The others are probably wondering where we are," she says, taking my hand as we walk toward the meeting room.

*Author POV*
Manon and Sophia open the door to the meeting room, and the room falls silent.
Everyone looks at their intertwined fingers and instantly gets the message, but they say nothing and turn their attention back to Yoonchae, who is at the front of the room presenting a map of sorts. Sophia takes a seat next to Megan, while Manon sits across from her.
"Okay. Now that everyone's here, let's officially start this meeting." Yoonchae picks up a ruler and points to a red 'X' on the map.
"This is where our mission starts. This is a map of a beach in the Philippines where our target is hiding in his newly bought vacation home."
"Who's the target?" Sophia asks.
"Your former boss. He thought that after promising us your hand in marriage, he could live a life of luxury while hiding from us. We've been monitoring him for a while, and now is finally the time to make our move."
"Why didn't you tell me you were monitoring him?"
"We weren't sure we could trust you and if you're still loyal to him."
Sophia nods in understanding, remembering when she was thinking of escaping. Now she wants to stay more than ever. But in the back of her mind, she wonders why they would trust her with this job.
Yoonchae starts explaining the plan: First Sophia will hack into his security system and disarm the alarm while Daniela and Megan get rid of the guards. Then, Lara will go inside and terminate the target.
To prepare, Megan, Daniela, and Lara head to the armory, leaving Sophia alone with Manon and Yoonchae. Sophia's about to take her leave too, but Yoonchae signals her to sit back down. Sophia looks at Manon trying to ask her what's going on with her eyes, but Manon doesn't seem to know as well.
"Sophia, I'll be completely honest with you. The reason I am letting you on this mission is because Manon trusts you. But if I catch even the smallest sign of you betraying us, I will eliminate you."
"Yoonchae- " Manon says with a warning tone.
"No, it's fine. I understand where she's coming from. He's my ex-boss, after all."
Sophia looks Yoonchae in the eye and tells her earnestly: "I promise to do my best on this mission and help you capture that bastard."
Yoonchae nods, and walks out of the room, leaving Sophia and Manon alone in the room. They take their leave, and head to Manon's room.
"I just realized, I've never been to your room before," Sophia says as they come to a stop in front of a light green door.
"I hope you like it."
And with that Manon opens the door for Sophia, who walks through while looking around in astonishment. She takes in everything. From the white queen-sized bed to the brown mahogany desk, to the brown board filled with pictures of some girls, an older woman, and Manon. Sophia points to the board.
"Who are they?" She asks curiously.
"Those are my friends, my sister, and my mom. They're in Switzerland right now, but we call every now and then to catch up."
"I didn't know you're Swiss. It suits you."
"Thanks, babe. Filipina suits you too."
Sophia thanks her and takes a seat on the bed. Manon sits next to her, wraps her arms around Sophia's waist, and lies her head down on her shoulder. They sit quietly for a while, until Manon breaks the silence.
"Do you want to go get some pizza? It could be a date."
"Then how about making the pizza? It would be a cute home date," Sophia suggests as she strokes Manon's head.
"I'm down. Let's go now, I'm hungry."
Manon takes Sophia's hand and pulls her off the bed. They head to the kitchen, only to discover that they are missing some ingredients. After writing down what they need, they head to the grocery store to buy what they need.

Location: Armory
Megan, Lara, and Daniela are in the armory. They're discussing what weapons to use for the mission, as they need to be light but effective. Daniela chooses to take some knives and a gun with her. While she's choosing the knives she's taking with her, she notices Megan stealing glances at Lara.
She walks up to her and nudges her, causing Megan to snap out of the trance she was in.
"So...what's going on between you and Lara?" Daniela whispers.
"Nothing," Megan says annoyed.
"That sure doesn't look like nothing. You're the one who told me not to dwell on someone who doesn't like me back. Did you speak out of experience?"
"Kind of. I-"
"What are you two scheming there without me?" Lara walks towards them and asks them with a smirk on her face.
"Nothing. Just, looking at the best weapon to use," Megan says as she picks up nun chucks from a nearby rack and places a smile on her face.
"Okay. I'm done now, so I'll get going. Meet you in the living room at 8!" Lara shouts before leaving and closing the door behind her.
"So?" Daniela asks, unable to contain her excitement.
"I like her...a lot. But every time I threw some hints her way, she missed them." Megan sighs.
Daniela places her fingers on her chin and thinks for a moment. Then, she holds out her hand to Megan.
"You interested in making a deal?"
