Movie Night

Harry was trying to remain awake. A movie named The Bodyguard should have action, blood, fighting, and action. While the woman could sing, he wanted action. This was the third week they were watching some romantic movie. He was going to talk to his father about having a guys night while his mother and Narcissa did whatever women do together. "Mum, how much longer?"

Severus and Voldemort wanted an answer to the question too. "I'm not sure." Minerva didn't turn to face her son. "I want this soundtrack."

Voldemort didn't groan. He had been listening to soundtracks ever since his wife discovered them thanks to one of the clerics at the video store. Minerva had been buying all kinds of music that the muggles had and something called a stereo with a turntable. He had built the shelving until to hold the thing and the records and CDs. "Minnie, this isn't what you said it was." Voldemort looked at his son. He felt a bit bad as he promised his son it wasn't a romance. "I swear she didn't say it was a romance." He looked at Severus. "She said he was an agent in some secret service thing that protected the US President." He had promised it wouldn't be one after the last few movies.

"He was." Minerva smiled from her recliner. Her feet were up and she had her favorite slippers. One of the cats was curled up on her lap. Voldemort was stretched out on the couch with their other two cats. "She has an amazing voice." They only got to have one night a week where they could completely relax.

"She does." Narcissa had a bowl of popcorn that she was sharing with Lucius was watching the movie very intently. "She is also very beautiful. I would love her complexation."

"Look at that dress. Cissy, we need to get a copy of that dress for the ball this year." Lucius had been paying close attention to the outfits the actress was wearing. "What is her name?"

"We lost Lucius." Severus was sharing the couch with Harry. He was lying on his side with his head on a pillow with Harry playing with his hair. Harry had his feet on a footstool with Nagini's son curled up sleeping.

"The woman at the video store gave me a list of movies to watch. The actor is Kevin Costner and is in a few of them. The actress is Whitney Houston, she is famous for her singing and I can see why." Minerva wasn't going to add she already reserved Dirty Dancing for next week. "We will have to go back to that record store."

"Oh, yes, perhaps they can recommend a place where we can start to buy movies instead of just renting them." Narcissa ignored the groans from the men.

"I am going to buy a VCR so we can watch the movies we want." Harry ran a hand through Severus' hair brushing it off of his face. He saw Severus agreed with him and Severus tilted his head toward the door. Harry agreed. They needed to get out of here.

"Don't even think of it you two." Minerva pointed her finger at Harry and Severus. "I know there is no potion needed, there is nothing that needs to be picked, gutted, or stored. There is no reason to check on any of the students and detention is also covered. You two will watch the whole movie and like it."

"Oh, full mother mode." Voldemort loved when his wife was in a take-charge mood. He gave a slight smile as his wife looked at him. Perhaps he could rush everyone out.

Harry groaned as another song started to play. "I want to watch this again but just the scenes with the dresses and I want a suit like he is wearing." Lucius had also discovered fashion magazines when Narcissa brought them home. He was hooked. They got a few subscriptions to the magazines as well as a muggle address.

"We can order movies and other things. We got a muggle address to take care of it. There is a post office in the muggle world that handles the wizarding world too." Narcissa didn't mind the walk to the post office. "I got a few catalogs already delivered. They actually have a bigger mail-order system. You can get clothes, books, movies, and shoes."

Voldemort stopped the movie. "What?"

"Tom, we were watching that." Minerva huffed.

"Yes, I am aware, dear, but that is why there is a stop button." Voldemort held up the remote.

Harry nudged Severus as Narcissa began to explain about mail order and the different types of catalogs. When his mother joined in on the conversation, he went to nudge Severus but Severus was already in the process of standing up. He picked up his snake and the two of them made their escape. "I am not trusting the movie selections unless one of us reads the movie description."

"I say we get our own VCR and find another way to spend time with my parents."

"I like that idea better."
