“Suck it up Vi, you'll be fine.” Says Sevika as she pulls her brown leather jacket over her shoulders. Vi is trying very hard not to freak out as she frantically double-checks her messy pink hair in the bathroom mirror. She’s wearing a fitted black tank top and black skinny ripped jeans. She decides against bringing a jacket because it's also black, and that might be a bit too much.
Vi, Powder and Sevika are getting ready to go to their high school friend Jayce's party. Jayce is in a frat and always gets Vi, her sister and roommate invited even though none are in university. Vi is training to be a firefighter, Sevika is already a firefighter and Powder is taking a gap year after graduating high school.
The reason for Vi's intense anxiety for this party is over one of the 150 people who would be attending, her ex Cait. After a very messy break up and many months apart Vi still couldn't get her off her mind, no matter how many bar crawls and one night stands she used to try to forget her. Part of Vi imagines Cait and her dark navy hair and piercing blue eyed stare and just wants to kiss her, to pull Cait close to her body and feel her warmth. Vi had no difficulty with women, but no other compared to Cait, the way she used her body to please Vi is unmatched. However, the other part of Vi wanted to find Cait and scream in her face, smash up her pretty car, throw eggs at her window and wipe that gorgeous smile off her face for what she did.
What's the most nerve racking part about this you ask? It's that Vi knows that she will need to drink at that party, if Cait is there, and when she does she knows one of these parts of her brain will take over and cause her to make some very bad decisions.
She rubs dark eyeshadow on her eyelid, feeling a bit more confidence. Vi decides that whatever she does, she will walk into that party and make Caitlyn regret what she did.
“Yeah. Whatever, it's nothing.” Vi responds to Sevika, pretending not to care. In the mirror, she sees her sister glaring at her knowingly. Powder's bright blue hair is done with two low mini buns and her choppy bangs hanging above her eyebrows, which she raises at her sister, almost teasing her as she sees through Vi's facade.

At Jayce's frat, Caitlyn is sitting at the minibar, the house still empty at 8pm. She nurses her drink as Jayce sits on the stool next to her, probably texting Victor or Mel. Caitlyn swears she has never met someone with such a complicated bisexuality as Jayce, who apparently doesn't even seem to care how complicated it is. Jayce and Mel were dating for a while, but broke up to become best friends instead, then immediately after Jayce started chatting up his friend Viktor and now they're hooking up. Cait heard rumors that Sevika and Mel could be an item, but she's not sure. Anyway, she's not in much of a place to judge, she's had enough relationship dramas of her own.
“Trust me Cait, this party is going to be great.” Jayce boasts. He begins to set up the beer kegs on the tables and bottles of vodka and tequila. “This fucking house is going to be filled with 150 people, and not even just uni students, I invited a TON of other people I know.” Cait is in her third year of uni, studying law because it’s what her parents wanted, but her dream is to be a detective.
“Oh really? Which friends?”
“Trust me, plenty. I invited Ekko, Sevika, Mylo, Claggor, Vi…” Cait suddenly chokes on her drink from disbelief after hearing a name she hadn't heard in ages. Caught completely off-guard, a wave of insecurity and mixed emotions hits her.
“VI?!” She exclaims. “You invited Vi and only tell me now? My girlfriend is going to be at this party and this is how I see my ex for the first time in months?”
“Woah. I didn't know the wounds were still open, it's been months. I thought that by now you were chill.” He responds innocently.
“They're not. I mean- It's- It's just weird.” She stutters, her cheeks taking on a deep shade of pink.
People start rolling up to the party and the music becomes louder. The living room fills with people over the course of an hour. Couples, friend groups and strangers are playing games and talking loudly, some dancing to the music.
Vi walks into the door of the familiar house and immediately goes to the bar, pouring herself a drink of 70% rum and 30% pepsi. Powder follows her to the bar, but the look on her face is that of concern.
“Vi, seriously, are you going to be ok?” She says, but she's half distracted and her eyes are already darting around the room.
“Pow, I'm fine. I'm feeling great, actually. Leave me for your boyfriend, I'm gonna have fun.” Powder gives one more good look at her sister with sincere worry in her eyes.
“Okay. But say the word and we're leaving, alright?”
“Hey, I'm the big sister here. You're not supposed to be the one taking care of me.”
“Well, someone has to.” Powder responds sarcastically, rolling her eyes at Vi as she makes her way to Ekko at the other side of the room. He sees Vi behind his girlfriend and they give each other a quick nod before the couple is out of her sight. Vi downs the drink and already feels the confidence growing inside her. The alcohol warms her stomach and she goes for a second, curious to see where the night takes her.

Cait is sitting alone in the garden, texting her girlfriend Maddy, seeing how long she can hide from Vi.
- are you sure you don't want me to come? - her girlfriend texts. Cait knows she can't be at the same location as her ex AND her girlfriend because she knows the outcome will be messy.
- it's ok, it's kind of lame here anyway. I'm staying a bit for Jayce and then I'm leaving. - she responds. Cait powers off her phone and shoves it in her bag, hoping that if she's not thinking of Maddy and Vi at the same time, her brain will be a bit less fuzzy.
The whole thing was so dumb, the way they got here and the way Cait handled it, she felt. Cait and Vi had been in the same friend group for ages because of Jayce, and after years of a flirtatious friendship they finally started dating. Unfortunately, their differences got the better of them. Vi was always a public school kid, and between Cait's rich parents and snobby friends, it felt like it was always clear that they didn't see Vi as an actual person, nor the pair as a serious relationship. So, she caved and started treating it like that, and when Vi realised it, Cait let her walk away, like an idiot.
Deep inside her, under the layers of denial, she knows she misses Vi. She feels like a rehabilitated addict, and her former addiction is Vi. She's avoiding her because she knows as soon as she sees those blue-grey eyes, that muscular body, the bruised knuckles, those tattoos… she won't be able to control herself.
Jayce opens the door to the back lawn, disrupting Caitlyn's thoughts, and by his excited demeanor and red, sweaty face she could tell he was already buzzed.
“Come on Cait, you're missing out on all the fun!” He pulls her by the arm, forcing her onto her feet. Jayce drags her inside and pulls her through the corridor and by the kitchen, weaving their way through the substantial crowd inside. They pass the stairway and Cait almost freezes. There she is, in all her beauty. Her hair is longer than it was the last time they saw each other, shaved on one side and messily covering her face on the other side. Vi's clothes perfectly fit her figure, accentuating her defined shoulder muscles and collarbones, so form-fitting that Cait could almost see the outline of her abs. She feels like she's frozen in time, taking in the sight of the woman before her, but before she knows it Jayce continues pulling her and shouts over his shoulder, “Come on, Vi! We're getting the group back together!”
They make it to the dance floor, and all are familiar faces. There's Mel, laughing with Sevika, then Ekko and Powder, dancing together as Powder glances over her shoulder occasionally, side-eyeing Cait suspiciously. Viktor is off to the side as Jayce seemingly is trying to convince him to dance. Caitlyn turns around slowly, taking in the faces around her, but is taken by surprise when she turns behind her to see Vi staring.
Vi finally takes in Cait for the first time in months. She's wearing a simple black dress with spaghetti straps, showing a bit of cleavage. Her navy hair is in a ponytail with strands falling over her ears and she's wearing a gold necklace with a ruby charm. Vi lets her eyes move across her body even though she can see Cait is already staring back at her. Vi feels accomplished when she sees Cait's face become a soft shade of pink, and she decides to go in closer.
“Do you want to get a drink with me?” She whispers softly into Caitlyn's ear. She swears she sees Cait's body shudder. She only returns with a slow nod and Vi turns to the bar, feeling powerful over her ex.
They sit on the barstools and drink silently, Cait's eyes darting all over the room to divert from Vi's gaze. Cait can't seem to grasp why she's so nervous, her heart is pounding and she can't control her thoughts. Frantically drinking her vodka lime and soda seems to be the only solution to the strong feeling of unease in her stomach.
By now Vi is on her fifth drink, feeling very buzzed, and all she can think of is how much she needs Cait. Even looking nervous and embarrassed, Cait is still extremely hot. The best thing about Cait, Vi always found, is that most times she acts innocent and logical and responsible, but really is the kinkiest person she knows. She loves, more than anything, seeing Cait transition from goody two-shoes to dirty. The more alcohol she consumes, the more desperate she becomes to unlock that side of Caitlyn. Finally, Cait breaks the silence.
“Violet,” she said, leaning in, “I'm sorry, for the way things ended between us. I was really unfair to you.”
“Oh, don't worry about it. It's fine, cupcake.” Vi responds quickly, brushing it off. Cait looks back at her with surprise, the flirtatious nickname makes her heart jolt. The few drinks she's had is already loosening her up and Vi's charm is starting to make her giddy. She almost forgot how much she loves Vi's confidence and wit. Vi leans in close and Cait's heart starts pounding. “Well?” She says, offering her hand. Cait lets her hand fall into Vi's and feels sparks fly as she is dragged back to the dance floor.
Vi takes the taller girl to the middle of the dance floor, where the blue LED lights are low. She takes a step back from Cait and begins moving her shoulders to the rhythm of the music, not breaking eye contact. Cait's arms begin to relax, moving her body to the beat and complimenting Vi's moves. Cait’s breath quickens as the other woman inches closer to her, almost brushing her arms on her waist but then recedes, as if to tease her. Cait wants to touch Vi's body, she wants to feel her every muscle and she can't take her eyes off her lips with a faint scar on her cupid's bow.
Vi dives in and moves dangerously close to Cait, their bodies almost touching and noses only inches apart. Cait's self control is growing weaker and weaker each second she spends in Vi's presence.
Vi's body is alight with electricity, completely intoxicated from Cait's presence and getting off on how flustered she's making her. Every second they're together Vi can't help but picture her naked, and she doesn't hide that fact as she undresses Cait with her eyes.
Cait can't take it any longer. She wants to feel the weight of Vi's body on hers, she wants to taste her. She immediately drags Vi by the hand upstairs to Jayce's room and locks the door, seeing as she's the only person in the house with the key because Jayce let her stay there for the night. Cait shoves Vi against the door, panting breathlessly, and slowly inches towards her, almost afraid to make the move. Vi smirks at her and grabs her by the waist, which both annoys Caitlyn and deeply turns her on. She goes in and kisses Vi intensely, grabbing her by the neck and feeling a fire of desire burning in her belly.
Vi switches positions, pinning Cait against the door. She drinks Cait in, as if she had been holding her breath all these months and now can finally breathe. Vi wastes no time removing Cait's dress and peeling off her own clothes before stepping back to look at her, naked and panting with desperation in her eyes. She doesn't dare break eye contact with her as she slowly approaches, standing in front of Cait and leaning her arms against the door, purposefully not letting their bodies touch other than her breasts slightly grazing Cait's.
Cait bites her lip, Vi's stare is almost enough for her to come undone right then and there, against the door. Vi's breathing slows, she continues intensely staring and Cait is restless, dying from the anticipation. She wants to reach out and touch the pink-haired girl, but she knows she needs to let Vi come to her.
“You were pretty awful, you know.” Vi says. “You don't deserve a second chance.” She says it almost as a fact she's reciting to herself.
“I know.” Responds Cait, nodding her head. “I'm the one who deserves it least.” Vi breaks eye contact and paces backwards, in deep thought. Finally, she looks back up to Cait.
“Lie down on the bed.” She demands. Cait follows the order, sitting down on the duvet and maintaining Vi's gaze. The other woman follows her and stands right above her, staring her down. Cait feels herself becoming unbelievably wet and takes note to buy Jayce some new sheets tomorrow. She slides up the bed and Vi follows simultaneously, on all fours above Cait's body but still not touching. She leans down and softly whispers, “Are you really sorry?” Cait bites her lip and whimpers, her body pulsing with desire.
“Yes.” She moans breathlessly. Vi throws her weight onto Cait, fitting her hips between her legs and kissing her desperately. Cait moans through the kiss as she feels Vi's hips slip on her wet cunt, sending a shock through her body. She grips Vi's shoulders and feels every muscle and crevice of Vi's body on hers, digging her nails into her skin.
Vi wastes no time lazily dragging her lips down Cait's abdomen and immediately going for her cunt, painting circles on her clit with her tongue and then sucking down hard. Vi moans with Cait's sweet taste in her mouth, feeling the heat grow between her legs with every verbal response of pleasure that escapes Cait.
Vi continues going down harder and faster on Cait, eating her out with enthusiasm as if she were in a drought and Cait is the last drink of water in the world. The blue-haired girl wriggles and arches her back to feel more pressure on her clit and sees stars.
“Oh my god I'm so close. You're so fucking good Vi.” She moans. Vi suddenly stops and comes back up to stare down the other girl.
“Do you promise me that you're mine?” Cait whimpers breathlessly with Vi's sudden pause.
“Violet, please-” Cait moans helplessly.
“Promise me.” Vi demands.
“I'm yours.” She replies without hesitation.
Vi lifts Caitlyn's leg and brings it over her shoulder and straddles around her other leg, fitting their hips together and forcing Cait to arch her back into the bed. Vi leans over and stabilizes herself with one arm on the bed, and slowly begins to grind her cunt on Cait. They both moan in unison, breathing harder and faster as Vi picks up the pace. As she grinds she's sliding gracefully on Cait from how wet she is, which only enhances both of their pleasure. Vi feels euphoric with Cait's fluids on her, the pressure rising in her pelvic floor as her clit rubs hard on Caitlyn.
Vi is on the edge as she continues riding her so hard she thinks the bed might break.
“I'm gonna come. Come with me cupcake.” Cait does as she's told and lets herself release the pleasure. They both climax in sync and Cait screams Vi's name.
She flops on the bed beside Cait on her belly, burying her head in the sheets as she regains the rhythm of her breathing. Cait sits up and looks down at Vi's tattoos, running her hands along them and tracing all the outlines and patterns with her fingers. She lies back down on her side and Vi shifts, facing her, and Cait brings her hand to Vi's cheek. She pauses for a moment before pulling her in for a kiss, soft and slow, writing all the apologies and ‘I love you’s with their tongues, saying everything that they could not.
They eventually make their way back downstairs and the party's still going. Hand-in-hand Vi guides Cait down the steps, where Jayce and Mel are at the bottom laughing.
“I told you so!” said Mel, glancing at the girls. “Now you owe me 20 dollars.” Jayce looks back at the pair defeatedly.
“God, you two. Could you not have waited one night? I'm losing all my money here.” They both say nothing as they glance at each other guiltily, Cait laughing at her feet shyly.
