Chapter 16

With the sound of the bedroom door closing, Guy glanced to Archer, with anger rising up in him.
“You love Louise?” Guy asked angrily, stepping towards his brother, well so-called brother, “My wife?” He shouted.
“I shouldn’t have said that” Archer said, swallowing hardly. He knew he was in trouble the minute Guy had asked Hope to take Louise out of the room. He had hoped that Louise would have resisted, just so that Guy would have at least tried to remain calm. If it hadn’t been Guy lose his control, no doubt it would have been one of the Mikaelson’s who would have lost control.
“It just came out. It meant nothing,” he carried on trying to dig himself out of the hole he was now in.
“Just came out,” Guy hissed, punching Archer to the floor. Archer’s words were just fuelling his anger even more.
With the Mikaelson siblings watching, both Kol and Niklaus was smirking, while Rebekah was heading upstairs to see Hope and Louise. They had all heard everything in what was said by Louise and Archer. With the last words, Louise had said, Freya had just stood there in silence, in shock before retreating to kitchen. There was something in Louise’s words, which had hurt Freya- Rebekah had noticed. She just hoped that Louise realised.
“She’s my wife, the mother to my unborn child?” Guy said angrily, looking angrily at his brother.
“That’s enough,” Klaus said, stepping into the room, realising that someone would need to calm the situation now. “Archer shouldn’t have said what he had, but we all need to take a step back and think about Louise,” he said truthfully, glancing between the two males. How this was ironic- it was normally him and Elijah fighting over a woman and now he was in the middle of an argument where brothers were arguing but this time they were arguing over his niece.
“You are okay with what he said?” Guy asked, slightly confused.
“No, I’m not,” Klaus replied, “To be honest, Louise shouldn’t have been put in that position,” he said truthfully, looking between the two males. He knew what Louise had meant when she had said she wasn’t the same girl anymore- even he had noticed the change in her.
“But it’s happened.”
“Look, I’m sorry for what I said,” Archer said, getting up, glancing between Klaus and Guy, “But me and Louise, we had something that year,” Archer continued, glancing between Louise’s husband and uncle.
“I would leave it mate,” Kol interjected, rolling his eyes.
“Archer, leave it,” Guy shouted, looking at his brother in disgust, “It’s obvious she doesn’t feel the same,” he said angrily.
“Well let’s get her down here so she can say for herself,” Archer suggested, keeping his gaze on Guy, “I’m not the one putting her in danger.”
“Louise will never be in danger again,” Klaus shot back, feeling like he was ready to lose his temper, “As she’s a Mikaelson- she’s got the whole family looking out for her.” He finished, letting his gaze fall on Archer.
“We are not bringing Louise down here to witness this,” Elijah replied, walking into the living room. “For one we need to put Louise first- she doesn’t need the stress.”
“I don’t normally say this, but Elijah is right,” Klaus pointed out, “But if you want to carry on fighting about someone who has made her choice, then do it outside.” Klaus ordered.

Being in Hope’s bedroom, Louise sat on the windowsill, glancing out into the garden. All she wanted to do was to go back to the beginning of the day when everything seemed so right but now her thoughts was all over the place due to Archer’s words. Raising her legs onto the windowsill, Louise glanced to Hope, wondering why her cousin had listened to her husband. She could hear shouting- well her husband shouting, glancing at Hope nervously.
“I’ve messed up,” she whispered, glancing back towards the garden, “It was nice while it lasted,” she said quietly taking both her wedding and engagement ring of.
“Not necessarily,” Hope said, going wide-eyed with Louise taking the rings of, “It’s Archer who has messed up.” Hope said quietly, trying to reassure her cousin.
“I have,” Louise said quietly, placing the rings beside her on the windowsill, “And I’ve only got myself to blame for it.”
“We’ve all got pasts- yes you were with Matthew,” Hope started but stopped seeing Rebekah enter the room.
“But you are Guy’s wife,” Rebekah continued, “We all have pasts and well you did try to keep it in the family.”
Hearing Rebekah’s words, a smile crept on her face, glancing at her aunt, “Hey, I didn’t know. If I had known…”
“You would have stayed away from Guy,” Hope suggested, “Or not gone to the Yule Ball with Matthew?” Hope asked.
“No, I would have come home as soon as the battle ended,” Louise said truthfully, glancing at her family, “Maybe if I had followed what my mind was telling me, I wouldn’t be in this position now- soon to be single and pregnant.”
“We can look back and think what if but you need to focus on your future,” Rebekah stated, “as Lady Gisborne,” Rebekah finished as Louise shook her head not wanting to believe her.
“I doubt it,” Louise whispered.
“Then why was Guy referring to you as his wife? Why is he prepared to stand by you?” Rebekah pointed out.
“Because I’m pregnant with his child,” Louise shot back not wanting to believe anything Rebekah was saying, “I’ve messed up and I’ve only got myself to blame.”
With Louise’s words, Hope and Rebekah glanced at each other, knowing it was just her emotions talking. They hoped that she would feel differently in a few hours. Hearing a knock on the bedroom door, Hope glanced back at Louise and Rebekah before answering the door. She had anticipated it that it would be her dad or uncles but seeing Guy, Hope’s eyes widened in surprise. She hadn’t quite expected to see him yet.
“Louise, it’s for you,” Hope said, glancing towards her.
“If it’s Archer tell him to get lost and …
“It’s your husband,” Hope cut off, glancing apologetically at Guy, “She’s just emotional,” she explained, allowing him to come in
Entering the bedroom, Guy immediately located Louise and watched her for a moment. If he had been angry at her before, he wasn’t now.
“Can you give us some time alone?” Guy asked, keeping his gaze on his wife.
“We’ll be downstairs,” Rebekah said, squeezing Louise’s shoulder.
Noticing how Louise wasn’t looking at him, a frown appeared, walking closer to her. Seeing the rings on the windowsill beside Louise, Guy was taken aback with that. Had she contemplated that the relationship was over.
“Louise,” Guy whispered. Seeing that Louise didn’t response, he sighed in annoyance, a small smirk appearing, “Louise Calypso Lily Gisborne,” he said quietly.
Hearing her full name- well the use of Calypso, Louise turned her head to look at Guy.
“What do you want?” She asked, “I know it’s over,” she said quietly.
“It’s not over,” Guy said simply, “You are my wife, the mother to our child and you are,” Guy paused, looking into Louise’s eyes, “the person I love the most.”
Hearing the words, Louise smiled slightly, keeping her attention on Guy, “You mean that?” she asked, “Because I do really love you, I love you more than anything.” She said truthfully, keeping his gaze on her husband.
“Yes,” he said taking her hands in his, placing a kiss on each of her hands, “But Archer…”
“I don’t want to talk about him. He’s my past and you are my present and future,” She stated truthfully, “And I’m not the same person I was when I was with him.”
Hearing the explanation, Guy smiled, shaking his head slightly. Picking up the rings, “Can I?” he asked, sliding the rings back onto her finger. In his eyes, they were back where they belonged.

Walking into the living room where her family was, Louise was surprised to find Archer there. Back when she was upstairs, she had been certain that he would have been thrown out or worse. Glancing around, she noticed that Freya and Finn weren’t there.
“Where’s Freya?” She asked, knowing that she accidentally let her mum know that her dad had been murdered.
“Either in the kitchen or outside,” Elijah replied, glancing at Louise.
“Okay,” She said, “Hope,”
“You don’t need to ask,” Hope stated, knowing that it may be too hard for Louise to ask- especially when things concerned her dad.
“I won’t be long,” Louise said turning to Guy, as both Louise and Hope walked into the kitchen to see Freya, Finn and Sage there. They could instantly see that Freya had been crying and to be honest, neither Hope or Louise could have blamed her.
“Mum,” Louise said, sitting beside Freya, with Hope taking the empty seat left by Finn.
“Is it true?” Freya asked, glancing between Louise and Hope.
“Yes. Sirius was murdered,” Louise replied, tears threatening to escape, “When it happened, I thought it was best just to tell you he had been killed,” Louise stated truthfully, wiping a tear away.
“Who did it?” Freya asked, taking hold of Louise’s hand.
“Bellatrix Lestrange,” Hope answered, “She used the same curse which took James and Lily.”
“Louise,” Freya whispered, glancing to her daughter, immediately understanding why she hadn’t talked about it much.
“I’m sorry for not tell you sooner,” Louise said quietly, swallowing hardly.
“Don’t be, you needed time to process everything,” Freya said quietly, trying to fight back her own tears, standing up pulling her daughter into a hug.
“When did it happen?” Freya asked, “I know it was your fifth and fourth year there.”
“Two days before,” Louise started, glancing to the floor, “my birthday. 18th June,” She whispered.
“At least we know why you don’t like celebrating your birthday day,” Klaus said quietly.
“Yes, and a couple more things what happened around that time over the years,” Louise said, forcing a smile.
“Yeah well at least you don’t share your birthday with the Hogwarts battle,” Hope chimed in cheekily.
“Yeah, really didn’t plan that one, but you got your cousin back,” Louise stated.
“True,” Hope smiled, “And I’m the only one who has changed your mind with that determined look,” Hope said cheerfully, a cheeky smile appearing.
“Only because Professor McGonagall overruled me,” Louise reminded Hope, “And to be honest, I’m glad she did.”
“I knew you wouldn’t be angry at me forever,” Hope said, seeing Elijah coming in.
“Right come on, let’s not dwell on the past,” Elijah said, glancing towards Freya and Louise, “Are you two, okay?” He asked, referring to the earlier incidents and hearing what Louise had disclosed about her father.
“Yes, I am,” Louise replied, glancing at her uncle, standing up, “And I’m sorry for whatever I said after.”
“No don’t even think about it,” Elijah said, keeping his gaze on Louise, “You have nothing to be sorry about,” He reassured her, gently squeezing her shoulder.
“You just got emotional,” Hope said quietly.
“And I reckon you acted like a Mikaelson,” Kol said, “but next time, leave the theatrics to me.”
“Kol,” Louise whispered, not believing what she was hearing.
“You don’t have to face him, if you don’t want to,” Freya said quietly, knowing where Louise was looking.
“I know,” Louise said quietly, knowing that it would be the easy option for her, but she knew the longer she left it, the harder it would be and besides only Archer and Guy were in the living room. Nothing would happen, she was sure of it.

Making her way into the living room, Louise glanced to Guy, before looking at Archer. This was a mess, and she knew that both of them deserved answers to any questions they may have- well that was if they had any. Taking a seat beside Guy, Louise placed her hand on his but to her surprise he had moved it away. So much for what he had said while they had been upstairs.
“Did anything happen?” Guy asked, glancing between Louise and Archer.
Hearing the question, Louise glanced at Archer coldly wondering what he had said, while she had been upstairs. Turning her attention back to her husband, “No. Nothing happened. Most of our time together was at Hogwarts and there wasn’t much chance of anything happening,” Louise replied truthfully, keeping her attention on Guy, “We were two people who met during a crazy year at Hogwarts.”
“How can I know you are telling the truth?” Guy asked, looking coldly at Louise. He hadn’t believed her.
“Ask Hope, she was there. Ask anyone who was there. They’ll tell you what I’m telling you,” Louise said defensively, “If anything major had happened between us- I would have told you- you know we were in a relationship but nothing else happened.”
“Louise is right- nothing did happen apart from what’s already been mentioned,” Archer agreed with Louise, glancing towards her, “I lost Louise, the day Voldemort returned,” Archer finished, glancing to his brother, “And I was a fool to think, she would feel the same for me after these years.”
Seeing Guy look at her, Louise swallowed hardly. He had noticed that she had shuddered when Voldemort’s name was mentioned. Who was he and why did Louise seem to scared of him?
“There’s nothing else?” Guy asked, glancing at Louise.
“I’ve told you everything,” Louise said quietly, “The way that year ended was probably one of the worst times of my life,” She said quietly, trying to keep her emotions in check, “Everyone has a past and unfortunately my past is filled with darkness. I’ve experienced loss of parents, godfathers and friends over the past few years, but when I was coming out of that dark time of my life, you were the light,” Louise said truthfully, wiping the tears off her face.
Hearing what Louise was saying, Guy didn’t know whether to believe her or not. When he had heard that he was the light in the darkness of her life- he found that to be iconic as people had described Louise as being the light in his life. Taking her hand, Guy squeezed it tightly in reassurance, “I believe you,” he whispered, “I believe both of you,” he stated, “But who’s Voldemort?” He asked.
Hearing the question, Louise’s eyes widened as she knew she needed to answer the question but had no idea on whether she could.
“He was the one who murdered her mum and stepdad when she was one- he also tried to take Harry’s life,” Archer explained, “He also tried to take Harry’s life again that year when I was at Hogwarts.”
Hearing the explanation Archer gave him, he was shocked with how much Louise had gone through with just one person.
“And where is he now?” Guy asked, wondering if Louise would need to be protected from him.
“He’s dead,” Louise replied, “That was why there was a battle- in the end he got what he deserved,” she said, with tears rolling down her face.
“There’s more in what he did,” Hope said, standing by the doorway, “But that is enough talk about him. Louise doesn’t need to relive bad memories.”

With everything in what had happened over the past few hours, Louise had retreated outside. Yes, it was cold, but she needed some time to herself- the conversation with Voldemort had brought unwanted memories to come flooding back. They were always going to be with her- so she definitely didn’t need to reminded of them. For now, she was just enjoying the quiet. Hearing the door open, Louise closed her eyes, hoping she wouldn’t be noticed. Seeing that it was Archer who came out, Louise watched him for a moment.
“Thank you for explaining about him earlier,” Louise said truthfully.
“Louise,” He said surprised to see her, “You’re welcome. I thought you wouldn’t mind.”
“No, I didn’t mind,” Louise said quietly, looking down for a moment.
“I may not agree to the plan but I’m willing to help,” Archer started, “You’ve been through a lot and your family.”
Hearing Archer’s words, Louise smiled weakly, “You don’t need to.”
“No I want to,” Archer said, glancing to Louise, “Why are you out here?” He asked curiously.
“Just needed some time to myself and plus all the talk about him,” Louise started, “It just got a bit too much,” She admitted, looking out into the garden.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to mention him,” Archer said quietly, feeling sorry for mentioning the name.
Hearing the door open, both Louise and Archer glanced to the door, with occasionally glancing at each other. Noticing how Archer’s eyes were widened, Louise knew that whoever was at the door wasn’t good for either of them. Seeing Guy step out, Louise stared in shock, seeming not to breath. If he had glanced behind him, she was sure that both of them would experience his anger.
“I’ll be back in in a minute,” Archer said, keeping his attention on his brother, “Just needed to escape from Louise’s family staring at me.”
“Can’t blame them,” Guy said truthfully as he was also keeping a close eye on any interactions Louise had with Archer.
“I know and I’m sorry for what I said,” Archer said, knowing it was more for Louise to hear, “I am going to tell Louise but if it’s okay with you, I want to stay around to help you protect Louise.”
“Why?” Guy asked, surprised with what he was hearing.
“Because Louise is a friend and she will always be a friend,” Archer stated truthfully, “She’s also my sister-in-law.”
“It’s fine by me,” Guy said, “We would need to tell her about who your other brother is.”
Hearing Guy’s words, Louise’s eyes widened in shock. If it hadn’t been for her keeping quiet, she would of probably questioned them.
“Yes, well that can wait for another day,” Archer said, hoping that Guy wouldn’t reveal anything. The last thing he wanted was for Louise to reveal she was also outside,
“True but when we’re back at Locksley, we tell her that your other brother is Hood,” Guy said completely oblivious to the fact that Louise was outside.
“What?” Louise asked, knowing that she would be seen, although she wasn’t hiding- she just hadn’t been seen yet, “Your brother is Robin Hood?” She asked, completely shocked with what she had heard.
Hearing a woman’s voice from behind him, Guy spun around, surprised to see Louise. He had thought she had gone upstairs, with her not being with the rest of the family.
“Louise,” Guy said, a surprised tone in voice, “I thought you were upstairs.”
“I wasn’t,” She said stating the obvious at both her husband and brother-in-law, “Well is someone going to answer me?” She asked glancing between them.
“It’s true,” Archer said, keeping his gaze on Louise. To him, she had a right to know- yes this may not be an ideal way to tell her.
“It’s cold. Why are you out here?” Guy asked, a concerned tone in his voice.
“I needed some time alone,” Louise replied, glancing at her husband, “It was just so that I could clear my mind after Voldemort being mentioned. In time, I’ll tell you everything but it’s just too raw for me,” Louise said quietly, standing up, walking over to Guy.
