Chapter 5

A month had passed and everything seemed to be quiet, although for Louise she seemed to be busier than normal. With the busy lifestyle, Louise had becoming worn out and on occasions, she had the odd moment when she felt light-headed. Both Harry and Guy had noticed that something wasn’t quite right with her, but Louise had pretended that everything was fine and that it would pass.
Sitting in Granny’s Diner, Louise was enjoying the peace and quiet, finishing her cup of tea, thinking about what she could do today as it was one of her days of. Thinking about things, she realised that it would be a good time to see the Mikaelson’s as it had been a while since she had been in contact with them. In the end, Louise decided that she would go and see the Mikaelson’s as she couldn’t ignore the family who brought her up- they had made her to be the woman she was today.
Standing up, Louise made her way towards the door, but didn’t quite get very far as her head felt like it was spinning, followed by darkness, falling to the floor.

Waking up, Louise looked round the room, realising she wasn’t in Granny’s Diner, but she was in a bed, a hospital bed. She couldn’t quite tell as everything was blurry, however seeing her brother, Louise was quite relieved to see him.
“What happened?” Louise asked quietly.
Hearing his sister, Harry glanced at her, a worried expression showing, “You collapsed,” he replied, taking her hand.
Hearing the reply, Louise wondered on how it could have happened, but nothing was jumping out.
“Have you let Guy know?” Louise asked, as Harry nodded his head.
When Harry had first arrived at the hospital, he had been caught in a messy situation and even to him it was confusing, but the secret he had found out would shatter Louise’s world to tiny pieces. Upon finding out, he was planning to wait until Guy had turned up but now with her awake, he knew that he had to tell her, no matter how hard it would be for her to process it.
“Louise, there’s something I need to tell you- something I’ve just found out.”
Listening to what Harry was saying, Louise was intrigued as to what the secret could be. Seeing the worried expression on his face, Louise wondered what the news could be especially seeing a couple of people in the corridor of the hospital. She had only just seen them at Granny’s Diner.
“We’ve always wondered on why we were so close in age and I know why,” he started, keeping a hold of her hand, “You were adopted but you was born here in Storybrooke and you’re known as Baby Blanchard.”
Taking in what Harry was saying, Louise didn’t know what to feel as shock and anger swept through her. It couldn’t be true. It just couldn’t as she had always been led to believe that she was adopted by the Mikaelson’s.
“You’re lying,” she whispered, releasing her hand from his grip and turning away. It wasn’t true. Sirius Black was her father and she had been adopted by the Mikaelson’s. There just couldn’t be any truth in what Harry was saying. No truth at all but against her own thoughts, things was telling her that she had to believe him but she couldn’t. If it was true, she had to make sense of everything first.
Feeling tears running down her cheeks, Louise allowed some words to come out although they was spoken very quietly.
“Leave me alone.”
Hearing the words, Harry sighed silently, understanding why she needed some time alone. Exiting the room, Harry looked towards the people who was Louise biological parents. He was in two minds as to whether to confront the pair or to wait and let Louise do it, if and when she felt like it. Seeing the doctor walking towards him, Harry came out of his thoughts, upon hearing the doctor’s question.
“Harry, is she awake?”
“She is but she would like to be on her own,” he explained, taking another glance at the people. He didn’t know how anyone could leave their child at the edge of a road, who would probably be cold, alone and defenceless.
“Thank you, I won’t be long,” The doctor said, entering the room.

Upon leaving Locksley Manor in the morning, Guy had a feeling that Louise wasn’t her usual self. He had simply put it down to the events of the past month and he had told her to take it easy when leaving for Nottingham Castle.
Busy doing his duties, he was surprised and worried when a guard approached saying he had news about Louise. Hearing the news that Louise was in hospital, Guy let out a frustrated sigh. Obviously with him telling her to take it easy, she had done the opposite, as to him, it was clear she hadn’t listened to him. Striding down the corridors of the castle, he soon reached the courtyard and was clearly uninterested in anything the guards was saying to him. It was probably about the Outlaws as the Sheriff seemed to have made that the county’s number one priority.
“Siry Guy,” Marian said, noticing the worried expression, “What’s wrong?”
“It’s Louise,” He replied, looking to the woman he had once been betrothed to, “She’s been taken ill.” He explained as a stable boy brought his horse out to him. Having the reins of the horse in his hand, Guy mounted the horse without any hesitation.
Being told that Louise had been taken ill, Marian’s expression changed to concern for the female. Even though she hadn’t known Louise for long, she still cared for her as she had considered Louise to be a friend.
“Do you mind if I come?” she asked, turning to the stable boy who was leaving, asking for another horse to be saddled up and brought to her.
“No I don’t. I wouldn’t mind the company,” he replied, surprised to hear Marian’s question. He had expected the two woman to be jealous of each other. He had anticipated that Marian would be the most jealous, however he had been proven wrong. Since the event, Louise had attended with him, both women was becoming friends which he was quite pleased about.
With the stable boy, approaching with a horse for Marian, Marian immediately mounted as the two made their way to the hospital in where Louise was.

Hearing the sound of the door handle squeaking, Louise turned her head to see who it was, wondering if she needed to be more angry towards Harry. Seeing that it wasn’t Harry, a small frown appeared, wondering on who he was.
“Hello Louise. I’m Doctor Whale,” the doctor introduced himself, “How are we feeling?”
Hearing the question, Louise had no idea on how to reply since Harry’s revelation about the beginning of her life.
“Feel rubbish. I’ve been having headaches on and off for the past month,” she started, “And I’ve also been having dizzy spells along with going light-headed as if I want to faint.”
Hearing the response, he was beginning to put two and two together but would need confirmation from Louise to see if it was possible.
“Excuse the personal question being asked but is there any chance you could be pregnant?”
With the question being asked, her eyed widened in surprise, “No. Of course not,” she replied, remembering the first night she had moved in with Guy as passion seemed have engulfed them, “Maybe,” she said quietly, her gaze falling on the doctor.
“Okay, well we are waiting for some test results to come back,” the doctor said before leaving the room.

Arriving at the hospital, Guy’s mind was going into overdrive, worried about Louise. Getting of his horse, he quickly entered the hospital as he started looking for Harry. Seeing Harry in the corridor, he became more worried, wondering why he wasn’t in with her.
“How is she?” Guy asked.
With the sound of Guy’s voice, Harry turned to look at him, “She’s fine. The doctor is on with her now,” Harry explained.
“But what happened?” Guy asked, concerned for Louise, “She said she wasn’t well this morning but she said it would pass.”
“She collapsed and they are not sure why,” Harry explained, his eyes narrowing slightly, knowing that was typical Louise’s behaviour.
“Guy,” Marian said approaching Guy and the man in who Guy was talking to.
Glancing to the room in where Louise was, Guy noticed the doctor coming out, nodding his head.
“Guy, there’s something you should know before you see her,” Harry started, to no avail as Guy was heading straight towards the room.
Laying in the bed, Louise tried to figure out on what her life would be like now as to her, it had been shattered. Hearing a knock on the door and seeing Guy entering the room, Louise smiled weakly, sitting up in bed.
“How are you?” Guy said, sitting beside her.
“I feel fine at the moment,” she replied, talking hold of his hand, “but I’ve been having dizzy spells and on occasions gone light-headed but today is the first time I’ve collapsed,” she explained.
Hearing the explanation, Guy nodded his head, allowing it all to make sense- especially with how she had been feeling.
“You’ll be better soon,” he whispered, stroking her face tenderly.
Even with the words being spoken quietly, Louise still heard them, allowing a weak smile to appear, closing her eyes wondering on whether Harry had told him the other news or not. If he had, Guy was choosing not to mention it.
With the door squeaking open, both Louise and Guy glanced towards the door as they saw Marian enter the room.
“Marian,” Louise said surprised.
“She asked to come as she noticed how worried I was,” Guy explained , letting his gaze fall between the two.
“Thank you, its appreciated,” Louise said, allowing a small smile to appear.
Looking down, she entered her own thoughts as she tried to imagine what her life would have been like if she had stayed here in Storybrooke with her biological parents. Would she have had a better life?
The door to the room in where Louise was seemed to be a conveyor belt with people coming and going. With the doctor coming back, Louise was had become anxious about the results of the blood tests.
“I’ll be outside,” Marian stated, leaving the couple alone with the doctor and plus it would allow her to get to know the mystery man more.
“Sir Guy,” Doctor Whale said surprised, especially to see him at Louise’s side, “Can I ask you to leave while I assess the patient?”
“No, he can stay,” Louise said quickly, allowing her gaze to fall on Guy and then onto the doctor, “He can stay. He’s my fiancée.”
“Very well,” Doctor Whale said, “When you came in, we did some blood tests and we’ve got most of the results back and most of them are normal. However, one of them has come back higher than expected. This blood test indicates that you may be pregnant.”
Pregnant?! This couldn’t be. She couldn’t be pregnant. She was trying to get her life back after being on the run. How could she be pregnant? It didn’t make sense and she had no idea on what to say, but surely a pregnancy couldn’t make her this unwell.
“Pregnant?” Guy asked, surprised at what he was hearing. If Louise’s expression was to go by, he guessed that she was also shocked, like he was. In the back of Guy’s mind, he was hoping that it was one big mistake. “Are you sure?”
“The test does indicate one, but we would just like to do a scan to make sure,” Doctor Whale replied, as a nurse came into the room, holding a hand-held machine.
With the scan being done, Louise was hoping that it was all a big mistake as she had too much going of in her life. When the scan was finished, she glanced towards the doctor waiting for him to speak again.
“Congratulations, you’re expecting.”
Hearing this, Louise froze in shock not taking much notice of what was happening around her. This was too much for her to handle, especially today. Moving her hands to her face, she turned on her side, just wanting to be alone but most importantly she had wanted either her mum Lily, Freya or Molly.
Seeing Louise’s reaction, Guy could understand where Louise was as he was equally shocked. However in her reaction, there seemed to be more happening than for her to be told she was pregnant. Thinking back to when he first arrived and saw Harry, his words now seemed to mean something. There’s something you need to know. What did he need to know? Standing up, he sat on the bed, wrapping his arms around Louise and bringing her into a tight embrace. “Don’t worry, we’ll get through this,” he whispered into her ear, “You’ll be a great mum.”
The last words seem to have triggered something in Louise as it brought her back to reality. Turning over, Louise glanced into the corridor, where she noticed that couple hadn’t moved and plus they also seemed friendly with Doctor Whale. It couldn’t be- this couple couldn’t be her biological parents. Even though she didn’t want the pieces to fit, they were slowly fitting together. To her, they were the ones who gave her up, abandoned her and now they were the reason why she thought she couldn’t be a good mum.
Noticing in where Louise was looking and the expression she was wearing, Guy knew that Louise must of have had some extra news that he wasn’t aware of. Seeing that her gaze was on a couple in the corridor, Guy frowned slightly.
“Louise,” he whispered, taking hold of her hands, kissing her on the cheek.
Hearing her name, Louise glanced at Guy with warmth in her eyes, “Sorry,” She whispered, sitting up, a weak smile appearing. With her thoughts going at lightning speed, she had decided that she would confront the couple. She needed answers and this was the only way she was going to get them. Getting up, she made her way out of the room and towards the couple.
“How could you?” Louise asked angrily, when she was within talking distance. In that moment, she didn’t care what happened to as she seemed to be Niklaus’ temper. One of the downsides of being broght up by the Mikaelsons was Niklaus temper.
“I didn’t want to,” Snow said, turning to Louise surprised to hear the words, “I, we wanted you. You were there before I went to sleep but when I woke up, you were gone.” The woman said taking in the appearance of her youngest daughter.
“Lies,” Louise whispered, feeling a tight firm grip on her arm.
“They told me you had died during the night,” Snow said, trying not to get too emotional as she was feeling hurt in Louise thinking they were all lies.
Hearing the explanation, Louise was close to letting all her emotions out. None if it was true as to her it had all been created just to mess with her head.
“It’s all lies. I’ve got a family,” she said angrily.
Feeling the grip on her arm tightening, she turned and rested her head on Guy. She knew it was Guy immediately due to the clothes, he was wearing.
Reluctantly, Harry approached Louise and Guy, knowing that he would have to explain Louise’s outburst, but most importantly Louise needed her rest.
“Come on Louise,” Harry said calmly, “You need your rest,” he said glancing towards Guy, hoping he agreed with him.
It was no surprise that Louise had acted in anger, but he did wonder on what could have caused it. Whatever the reason, he wasn’t going to find out until Louise had calmed down and he was satisfied that Louise wasn’t going to do anything stupid.

Knowing that Harry was right, Louise looked at him out of the corner of her eye. Lifting her head from Guy’s chest, Louise tried to smile reassuring to Harry but whether he fell for it was a different question.
“Louise, you have to believe me,” Snow said, watching Louise walk away, wondering on whether Louise would see her as her mother.
With the words, Snow had said, Louise tensed up, fighting the urge to say anything but it was no use.
“I don’t have to do anything,” She said angrily, turning to Snow and David, “Because of what’s happened, I lost my parents and was left on my own with no family to call my own,” She said, trying to hide the tears which was running down her cheeks, “You don’t deserve me,” She finished coldly, making her way into the room, laying on the bed.

Seeing what was happening, Marian watched in surprise. She hadn’t anticipated that Louise could behave like that. Over the time she had known her, she had always seemed to be in control of her emotions. Making her way to the room, Marian was about to enter but stopped herself as whatever the commotion was about, she was sure that she would get to know why. Although, she knew one thing for certain and that was Guy knew how to choose girls who had spirit.

What had just happened? Guy didn’t understand any of it. Glancing at Louise, he sighed mentally to himself as he glanced towards Harry. He would get answers, whether it was Louise or Harry giving them to him.
“What was all that about?” Guy asked, wondering where the well mannered Louise had gone.
Hearing the question, they both knew he deserved to know, however neither Louise or Harry wasn’t sure on whether to tell but it was clear that Louise wasn’t ready to say anything.
“Louise was adopted,” Harry replied, glancing at her taking her hand, “You’ll always be my sister,” he whispered, “My brave, courageous older sister.”
Hearing that Louise was adopted, Guy was surprised but all the pieces began to fall into place, especially with her present behaviour.
Feeling Harry’s hand on her’s, Louise smiled weakly turning her attention to Guy.
“Sorry,” Louise spoke quietly, keeping her gaze on Guy, “I’m not normally like that,” She said turning her attention back to Harry, “And you’ll also be my younger brother, my hero” she finished.
“So before I go, what did the doctor say?” Harry enquired.
“I’m pregnant,” Louise replied, glancing between the two, “Although I would like to be on my own for a bit,” Louise commented as she closed her eyes.
Hearing the words, Guy was going to protest but prevented himself from doing so when he noticed her eyes were closed. Making there way out of the room, Harry glanced at Guy, “Congratulations,” He whispered, clearing his throat, “I know this may be a long shot but trt and convince Louise to give them a chance,” he said, looking over at Snow and David. Harry was clearly unhappy with the latest Potter family drama, but for once he wasn’t the main focus and hopefully this could be contained unlike his dramas.

With Harry’s request, Guy glanced at the couple before looking back at Harry, “I’ll give it a go,” He said, “Thank you for everything. I’ll stay with her.” He said, holding his hand out for Harry to shake.
“You’re welcome,” Harry said, shaking his hand, “Let me know when she’s home,” he finished, walking away leaving Louise with Guy.
Watching Harry leave, Guy saw Marian out of the corner of his eye, walking towards her slowly, not really knowing on what to tell her.
“How is Louise?” Marian asked, knowing that she may have to dig deeper to see what the commotion was about, but she was also worried about her friends well-being.
“She’ll be fine,” Guy replied looking at Marian, “Although she has to start taking things easy,” he explained, looking into the room in where Louise was before glancing back at Marian, “I’m going to be a father.” Guy finished, saying the last bit quietly.
“Father?” Marian asked, looking at Guy, who simply nodded his head in response, “I’ll take good care of her when she’s at the castle,” Marian commented, hoping it would put his mind at ease.
“Thank you,” he spoke gently, looking at Marian, glad that she was there, “Could you go to Locksley and arrange for some clothes to be packed for myself and Louise and have them taken to the castle?” He asked, letting his gaze to remain on Marian.
“Of course, I’ll go now,” Marian replied, standing up, “Let Louise know I’m thinking about her,” she said, turning around to leave Guy on his own.

Over the past few hours, Guy became concerned for Louise as he was seen sitting by her bed, even though he knew she was sleeping. Noticing that Louise’s eyes was twitching, Guy allowed his gaze to stay on her. Allowing her gaze to fall on Guy, Louise smiled weakly .
“You’ve been allowed home,” Guy said simply, “But you are under orders to take it easy. No arguments.” He said, emphasising the last two words.
“I don’t do easy,” Louise said simply, allowing her gaze to remain on Guy, “But for you, I’ll try to.” She said, getting out of bed.
“Well lets get you home,” Guy said, holding his hand out.

Making there way out of the hospital, feeling the fresh air on her skin, Louise smiled slightly. However the smile didn’t last long when she noticed her so called parents was still there. To her, it looked like that they were having a heated discussion with another woman. Diverting her gaze into where they were going, Louise knew the best thing for her at the moment was to ignore them, although that was harder to do, upon hearing a male voice calling out her name.
“One minute,” she said, turning to the man who now claimed to be her father, “I’ve got nothing to say to you or Snow. I need time to gather my thoughts,” she said, looking at Guy, turning around, “I wish Harry had never told me” she whispered to herself rather than to anyone in particular.
