Chapter 3
Sitting in the living room of the Weasley’s, Louise was in her own thoughts when she saw Ron approaching out of the corner of her eye.
“Hi Ron,” Louise said, biting on her lip, “Can I ask you a question?” she asked, allowing her gaze to stay on him.
“Go ahead,” Ron replied, knowing full well on what the question would be.
“Why is everyone against me with moving in with Sir Guy?” she asked not allowing her gaze to fall from him.
“You’ve only known him for a few days and with recent events, we want to make sure you are safe and well cared for,” Ron started explaining, “So if we have to stop you from making mistakes, then so be it,” Ron finished keeping his gaze on Louise.
Listening to the explanation, she knew that Ron was right. How could she move in with someone she hardly knew, who let alone knew her secrets. Sighing in annoyance, Louise watched as Ron left the living room. She now had a decision to be made. When Guy had asked her to move in she had said she would follow her heart but she was sat in the living room, allowing her friends to have a decision she was making.
With her friends words throughout the day ringing in her ears, Louise was finding that she was doing a u-turn on her initial decision and ultimately decided that she wouldn’t move in with him. Even with the decision, she knew she was betraying her heart, but she valued her friends opinions too much to ignore them.
Sitting on the bed in the bedroom she was sharing with Hermione and Ginny, a soft sigh left her as she was deep in her thoughts. In truth, her thoughts had been on one person and that was Guy of Gisborne, for it had been a few weeks since she had agreed to move in with him. However when she told the Weasley’s, they asked her to stay for a little bit longer, even though Louise thought she had pressured into staying. One of the reasons, they had used was that it hadn’t been long since the Battle of Hogwarts and everyone was still recovering and healing. Molly and Arthur also thought that the relationship was going too fast.
Running a hand through her hair, Louise removed the pink bed cover, getting up, starting to get dressed. She put on a simple pair of jeans with a plain t-shirt with trainers on her feet.
The house seemed quieter than it usually was, so Louise guessed that everyone had gone out. Heading downstairs, she had the confirmation she needed, that she was the only person at home. She had peace and quiet- even though she thought she wasn’t ready for it. To her, it seemed like it was a bit too much as she was still healing. Heading into the kitchen to prepare some breakfast, although with the time being 10am it could have been called brunch. With the sun shining high in the sky, it looked like that it was going to be a lovely, warm day. The days in which Louise enjoyed. Glancing out of the window, she allowed a smile to appear at the view of the forest on one side, while on the other, the villagers was busy doing their daily tasks. It was when she was looking out of the window, her gaze fell on a familiar figure, freezing, unable to do anything. It was like time had slowed down for a few seconds, although it seemed longer. Coming back to reality, Louise immediately moved out of view from the window, heading towards the fridge. It was in that split second that Louise didn’t want Guy to know where she was living. Since she had last seen Guy of Gisborne, she had regretted not what she had agreed to do. She felt guilty and seeing Guy brought back all her feelings for him as she tried to bury them. Unbeknown to her, it was already too late as Guy had already glanced to the house, catching sight of Louise.
Examining the contents of the fridge, Louise tried to find something to eat, however it didn’t help as her thoughts was too focused on Guy and how she had left things and also how they needed to change. To her, it was now or never.
Closing the fridge door, she sighed out of frustration, before heading towards the door. While heading towards the door, someone had knocked on the door rather heavily, in a commanding way. Guessing on who was at the door, Louise opened it to find that she was right. It was Guy of Gisborne, the man she fallen in love with.
“Guy,” Louise said pretending to be surprised to see him here.
Stepping aside, she allowed him to enter, a guilty feeling swept over her. Seeing him here, she immediately thought that the decision made a few weeks ago had been a bad one.
“I was going to come and see you,” She said quietly and quickly allowing her gaze to fall on the man.
“Why? Why lead me on?” Guy asked sharply and sternly. When Louise hadn’t returned, he was very angry with her, especially since he thought that the two had a connection.
Hearing the way in which Guy was talking towards her, Louise was taken aback realising that she must of him by not returning.
“It wasn’t my intention,” She explained, “A couple of months ago, me, Harry and my friends was involved in a battle and we’re all still trying to get over it as we all lost friends and family.”
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the door handle move downwards and she stopped explaining to see who it was. Seeing Molly, entering the house, she smiled at her before looking back at Guy with an apologetic look on her face.
“Is everything ok?” Molly asked sweetly, looking between Louise and the unfamiliar man who was in her kitchen.
“Everything’s fine,” Louise replied, glancing towards Molly, hoping that she wasn’t worried about her.
Hearing the explanation, Guy did wonder if there was more information, in which she wasn’t prepared to say. When the older woman came into the house, he did wonder if this was the reason why she hadn’t returned. Was she Louise’s mother? If she was, there were no features between the two that screamed they were mother and daughter. Frustrated with the lack of information, he was about to let his anger lose on Louise, but upon seeing the apologetic look on her face, his anger seemed to dwindle.
“See you around Louise,” Guy said politely, trying not to let his anger show, leaving the house.
When Guy left the house, Louise let a small sigh leave her. It was mainly out of annoyance than anything else wishing she could have told him the truth but how?
“Would you like a drink?” Molly asked, pulling Louise back into reality.
“Yes please,” Louise replied, glancing out of the window, hoping to see a glimpse of Guy.
Ever since she had met Molly, she could tell that Molly treated her like family, especially since she was friends with her youngest son, Ron.
“He seemed nice,” Molly stated, knowing that Louise had a gentleman friend, in who she was prepared to move in with.
“Yes he is,” Louise replied, “He was the one who asked me to live with him,” she explained, watching Molly making their drinks.
Listening to the reply, Molly glanced at Louise. She could tell that Louise was unhappy with something
“I know most of us talked you out of it” Molly started, keeping her gaze on the young girl, “But if you feel he’s right for you, go for it. We only live once.”
Listening to Molly, Louise couldn’t quite believe in what she was hearing. Molly was saying go for it when she had been one of the people who encouraged Louise to stay with the reason of it being too soon to start her new life.
“Thank you,” Louise said, heading towards the door.
Walking as fast as she could, she knew that she could reach Guy, hopefully. Seeing him and speaking to him was two different matters as she found out. Upon getting into talking distance, Guy was already talking to someone and to Louise it seemed important so she didn’t dare to interrupt the conversation. Not wanting to interrupt the conversation, Louise began to wonder on how she could get Guy’s attention discreetly and two options seemed to pop into her mind. The options were to head into the forest and if that hadn’t worked, she would go to the place in where they both saw each other.
Turning away, Louise felt deflated, but while she was walking away, Guy had glanced in the direction in where Louise was. He was very surprised to see her out and especially at being so close to him.
“Louise,” He called, catching up with the female.
“Sir Guy,” Louise said, softly turning to face him, swallowing hardly, “I’ve been thinking and if that offer is still available I would like to take it,” She explained, anxiously waiting for Guy’s response.
Hearing the words in what Louise was saying, he was quite surprised to hear them, but he was also happy with them.
“Really?” He asked, not quite wanting to believe her, “What about your mother?” He also enquired.
Allowing a smile to appear, Louise kept her gaze on Guy, “Yes really and she’s not my mother. She’s a very good friend” Louise explained.
Taking in what Louise was saying, he couldn’t remember a time when he had been this happy before. Wrapping his long arms around her, he gave her a big hug. Releasing the young girl, he looked at her before taking her hand, “Come on. Let’s get you home” He said quite happily with the pair walking towards the black Stallion, Guy was riding.
Approaching the horse, Louise couldn’t help but keep looking at Guy as he mounted onto his horse. Taking his hand, Louise sat behind him. Being satisfied with her position and that she was comfortable, she wrapped her arms around Guy, resting her head against his back.
Having been at Locksley Manor for a couple of hours, she couldn’t quite believe that she was with the man she loved. In truth, it was all beginning to feel like a dream. Laying in the double bed in Guy’s bed chamber, Louise glanced to him, noticing that he was still sleeping, she snuggled into him.
The next day came around way too quickly, with the sun high in the sky and shining into the bedroom, Louise woke up, turning to look at Guy. She was surprised to see that he was already awake and guessed that he had been watching her while she slept.
“Morning,” She whispered.
Hearing someone shouting for Guy, her smile faded with a small from taking it’s place.
“Work calls,” He said quietly, getting out of bed, beginning to change into his clothes, “I’ll be back in a few hours so explore,” He said.
Sitting up in bed, Louise nodded her head but her gaze seemed to fall on a beautiful elegant dress.
“Is that for me?” She asked, admiring the dress. It was truly stunning, a pink of the shoulder bodice with a white skirt flaring out.
“Yes it is,” he replied, “I bought it a few weeks ago,” he explained, blushing, heading out of the bedchamber.
With Guy leaving, a feeling of guilt swept over her, remembering what had happened a few weeks ago with her friends advising her not to rush into things.
Watching Guy leave the bedroom, her mind began to wonder on what else he may have bought her. Not being used to gifts or people being generous, she sighed softly, removing the bed covers, finding a nice, elegant yellow dressing gown, guessing that this was also another item Guy had bought. Heading over to the dress, Louise allowed herself to feel it and it was soft, softer than the clothes she had worn for the past year. With the dress being soft to touch, she couldn’t bear to put it on, partly down to the fact that for the past year she had lived in trousers and t-shirts. Changing into the clothes she had been wearing the previous day, Louise knew what she had to do. Exiting the bedroom, she walked downstairs, surprised that the guards were lowering their heads as she passed them. Another thing which caught her by surprise was that a guard had opened the door for her to leave. To her, she wasn’t that special or worthy to be treated any different, than her friends would be treated. Feeling the warmth of the sun on her, Louise smiled to herself, turning to the guard, who had asked her in where she was going. She guessed that he was asking incase Guy asked when he returned to the manor.
“A friend’s house,” she replied, making her way towards the forest.
The walk to the Weasley’s home had been an uneventful walk. At least with this walk through the forest, she hadn’t come across any Outlaws. Seeing the house, she knew that she near.
Reaching the door, Louise was just about to knock and walk in, however she was prevented from doing so when her gaze fell on Harry who was standing on the threshold.
“Where are you going?” she enquired, keeping her attention on Harry.
“To see you,” he replied, “We are needed at the ministry asap.”
Hearing the explanation, Louise nodded her head, “Okay let me get changed,” She said while entering the house, rushing upstairs and into the bedroom, where she quickly got changed.
It had only been a few minutes and Louise was ready to go. Whatever the Ministry of Magic needed with them, must have been important if they wanted to see them both immediately.
On the way back from the Ministry, Louise sighed out of frustration fed up of being summoned at a moment’s notice.
“What’s wrong?” Harry asked.
“I’m just fed up of having to go to the ministry,” Louise replied, allowing her gaze to fall on Harry, “I was hoping that by now I could have put the battle behind me and move on with my life.
“You know that’s not possible,” Harry stated knowing where she was coming from, “You also need to let the Mikaelson’s know where you are.”
Hearing the surname of the family she had grown up with, Louise gave Harry an unpleasant look.
“Please don’t” she said quietly, “And besides Hope would have told them I survived,” Louise said simply.
“Still you should have told them,” Harry said with the two approaching the centre of Storybrooke, “Or at least go to see him,” he suggested.
If Louise had gone to see the Mikaelson’s, Harry had hoped that it would stop her from doing stupid things, especially with things concerning Guy of Gisborne. Since Louise first met Guy, he wasn’t overly keen on Guy even if he claimed to be a Sir and he was still waiting to meet him properly.
“I can’t,” Louise said quietly to Harry’s suggestion.
“Why not?” Harry asked, “Don’t tell me you’ve decided to move in with Guy when we’ve all said it was a bad idea,” he said defeated and slightly annoyed with Louise.
“It’s my life,” Louise said simply, focusing on the path infront of her.
“Louise!” Harry called out in surprised, “Do you know what you are doing?” He asked wondering if he would get a sensible reply from her.
“What?” she asked rather defensively, “I’ve got feelings for him and plus I can’t exactly stay at the Weasley’s forever” she explained not bothering to look at her brother.
Reaching the boundary wall, they both stopped talking, although tension could be felt between the two.
Approaching the front door of the Weasley residence, they could hear voices from within and they both glanced at each other out of curiosity. Opening the door to the house, Louise allowed Harry to enter first, hoping it would give her some time to figure out on what she was going to say- well that was if she was going to say anything at all. Entering the living room, she glanced round as her gaze fell on Molly and Arthur Weasley who looked like that there was in a conversation with Guy of Gisborne. Keeping her gaze on Guy, Louise was trying to figure out on what she was going to say but was relieved when she heard her brother speak first.
“It was my fault,” Harry said, “We was both needed at an important meeting and didn’t realise how long it was going to be,” Harry explained keeping his gaze on the unfamiliar figure in the room, “And I’m guessing you’re Guy of Gisborne” He enquired.
Seeing Louise enter the living room, relief swept through him, but he certainly wasn’t going to show it. However, he was a bit surprised hearing the words, Harry had said about a meeting, but was even more surprised when he had asked who he was.
“Yes, I am,” Guy replied, “Do not worry. I will take good care of her,” He said, taking hold of Louise’s hand, “We need to go,” He said quietly, turning his attention to her.
Hearing the last words, Guy had spoken, Louise looked at him surprised, “Let me get some of my belongings first,” she said, releasing her grip from his hand, making her way upstairs to the bedroom she had been staying in.
Arriving in the bedroom, she made her way over to the wardrobe in where she pulled out a bag, starting to quickly pack her essential belongings. When it came to her wand, Louise wasn’t sure on whether to pack it or not. In the end, she had decided to pack it and secured it in a hidden pocket in the bag.
