Chapter 85
Hancock was following Luffy around the beach of the Island both The Strawhat Pirates and The Kuja Pirates somehow managed to both be on at the same time, as Luffy and Usoop looked for seashells. The sun kissed the horizon, casting a warm glow over the sand and the waves gently kissing the shore.
Hancock was admiring Luffy's carefree attitude and the way the sunlight danced in her eyes, making them sparkle like the ocean. And Hancock felt her cheeks heat up even more every time she looked at Luffy’s outfit. It’s was a completely unbutton red button-up long-sleeve shirt, with nothing but a red Bikini top it, with ripped jeans short shorts with frayed edges and the strawhat Pirates Jolly Roger embroidered on the pockets, and her iconic straw hat with a red hatband, and sandals.
It’s not much different from what she was wearing when they met two years ago, everything is the exact same, but for some reason, it just looks so much cuter on her now!
But Suddenly Luffy’s entire demeanor shifted, snapping her out of her thoughts. Luffy’s demeanor shifted from carefree as she looked for seashells too pure unadulterated excitement. “LOOK, USOPP! IT’S TRAFFY’S SUBMARINE!” Luffy yelled, jumping up and down and shaking Usopp slightly.
“Law? What’s Law doing here? I didn’t think we’d end up running into the heart pirate so soon again after Wano.” Usopp muttered, squinting at the emerging submarine.
The sight of the Polar Tang brought a mix of emotions to the surface. Luffy couldn’t help but feel a rush of excitement, knowing that Law was on board. Hancock, on the other hand, was not as thrilled. Of course there had to be more people to interrupt her time with Luffy. Her eyes narrowed slightly as he watched the submarine. Her stepped closer to Luffy, not wanting to leave her side.
But Luffy was off in a flash, the submarine hasn’t even stopped moving before she was already running off, and jumping onto the deck of the submarine as it rose above the water. "TRAFFY!” She yelled, preaching herself on the railing of the Poler Tang, waiting for the doors of the submarine to open. “TRAFFY! TRAFFY! TRAFFY!”
The Heart Pirates looked out from the windows, surprised to see Luffy. Penguin, the second in command, was the first to react, "Hey, Captain! Look who's here!"
The Polar Tang's doors slid open with a hiss, and Law emerged from the depths of the submarine, his fur hat casting a shadow over his face. He raised an eyebrow at the sight of Luffy, "Well, if it isn't the rubber girl herself. To what do we owe this pleasure?"
Luffy's excitement didn't waver, "We're just chilling on this island! It's so cool, Traffy! And look, I found some amazing seashells!" She held out her hand, displaying a small collection of shells to Law.
Law's smile grew wider, his eyes sparkling with amusement at her unbridled enthusiasm. "Indeed, they are quite the treasure," he said, taking one of the shells from her hand and examining it. "But I'm surprised to see you here. I thought you'd be off on another wild adventure."
Luffy huffed, leaning back slightly, her hands gripping the railing of the polar tang so she doesn’t fall off. “We are waiting for our log pose to reset and get the next islands coordinates. The islander said it would take a week for a log pose to work again.”
Hancock watched from the beach as Luffy's excitement bubbled over, a slight twinge of jealousy stinging him as she eagerly greeted the Heart Pirates. He didn't know why, but seeing her with Law stirred something in her. It was a feeling she hadn't experienced before, and she wasn't sure she liked it. The Kuja Pirates, who had been watching from a distance, began to murmur among themselves, their curiosity piqued by the sudden appearance of the yellow submarine.
And Hancock’s heart nearly stopped in her chest as he saw Law take a few steps closer to Luffy, practically standing, no he is standing in between her legs, as Luffy sits on the railing of the submarine, his head tilting to the side slightly, his eyes seemingly sparkling with something other than amusement as he listen to Luffy ramble on and on and on and on and on. Not caring that law was standing in between her legs, nor that their crotches were just a inche apart.
Hancock's grip on the shells she was holding tightened as she watched Luffy and Law interact, their voices carrying over to the shore. One of Law's hands landed on one of Luffy’s knees to rest there, and for a moment, Hancock's vision blurred with anger. She knew Luffy wasn't interested in Law in that way, but the sight of a man of all things touching her so casually was more than she could bear. The whispers among the Kuja Pirates grew louder, and Hancock's sisters, Boa Sandersonia and Boa Marigold, exchanged knowing glances.
Law caught his Hancock’s eye, his smirk growing wide, and he winked at her before turning his attention back to Luffy and leaning closer to her.
Luffy bit her lip as her eyes stayed locked with his. Setting the shelves aside she one of her hands going up to grasp the back of his neck, pulling him down for a passionate kiss. His other hand slid around her waist, pressing their bodies closer together.
The Kuja Pirates watched in shock and confusion, murmurs of disbelief and whispers of anger rising among them. Sandersonia and Marigold's eyes widened as they took in the scene before them. Hancock's cheeks flushed a deep shade of red, and she felt the familiar heat of rage building up within her. She clenched her fists, the shells she had been holding shattering into a hundred pieces. She had never seen Luffy act this way with anyone. Her thoughts raced as she tried to make sense of the sudden turn of events.
On the beach, the Strawhat Pirates and the Heart Pirates acted like nothing out of the ordinary was happening as if both separate crews had seen this exact scene happen a hundred times before. But for the Kuja Pirates, it was a sight that was as ludacris as a man landing on their island.
Hancock's heart raced as she watched the intimate scene unfold before her eyes. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore seemed to echo her tumultuous emotions. The love-stricken expression on Law's face as he kissed Luffy was a stark contrast to the cold, calculated demeanor he usually wore around others.
