Twenty Meters Down

Natasha groggily opened her eyes with a low grumble as she felt immediate sharp pain shooting through her body.

"Where the hell am I?" she mumbled to herself, trying to make sense of her current situation. Looking around, she found herself in shallow water. The surroundings were pretty dreary and looked nothing like Earth. While the air was naturally cold, the water she sat in was strangely warm. It was eerily quiet, and that added to the emotional turmoil Natasha was feeling.

Instinctively, the redhead tried to stand up, but immediately stopped as she felt the sharp throbbing in her thigh and blood trickling down her leg. "Yebat'.. which pridurok do I have to stab for this?"

Suppressing a hiss along a wince, she decided to settle for a big rock to sit on instead. The Russian looked back at the water, while acknowledging that she was soaked from head to toe. The soft waves ended at the foot of a cliff, and then the memories came flowing back in. The woman ran a pretty battered hand through her disheveled, dirty hair. Red with blonde strands. She was supposed to be dead — but she wasn't. The emotional moment with Clint, their fight, her last words... her thoughts wandered further - she had sacrificed herself for the soul stone to save humanity. But she was alive, albeit barely. How was it supposed to work that way? Did the team retrieve the soul stone, or had it all been to no use? Would she ever even get off this planet? After all, the entire team was convinced she was dead. Which she should have been. Looking back at the cliff, she raised an eyebrow in confusion. She had fallen at least twenty meters, she couldn't explain herself how she survived this. Natasha shook her head - she couldn't let herself spiral like this. It would only spike her anxiety and lower her chances of surviving. Her priority right now was getting out of that dull place, she would have time for questions later. "Vormir," she remembered. A cold, lonely planet hovering somewhere in space who knows how far away from Earth.
