Summary
So I recently found a prompt journal for story writing and I thought I'd post the little stories I create with each prompt. There will be a variety of genres but I do much prefer romance so all the romances may be written first. Anyways thank y'all so much for reading!

The first time I dreamed of Cupid, I thought I had just read too many romances again. I mean what else explains a gorgeous 6’2, blonde with crystal blue eyes and flawless dark skin appearing in my bedroom? But no, apparently he had a task for me. As he explained, with the rise of technology, people aren't meeting their soulmates as often. Now, depending on where you live, most marriages are either arranged or just flat out mistakes. So in order to keep the world balanced, Cupid needs the help of a mortal.
Rumor in my family is that some great great grandma was an oracle. Truthfully, everyone just thought she was fucking nuts but apparently not. Her gift did not fully pass to me but just enough of it did. Just enough for Cupid to be able to seek me out.
During our first meeting,Cupid had a lot of questions about how humans date now. Gods don't typically meddle directly with humans much so it took some time to explain it all. After hours and hours of explaining and brainstorming, we finally decided upon a virtual matchmaking service. No its not like Tinder.
The service works by using a series of video calls where I build a profile for each client. The profiles consist of a detailed list of likes, and dislikes, life experiences, and personal demographic details. Once the profiles are completed, Cupid works his magic. Sort of at least. It's not a perfect spell since the matches have likely never met in person but it works well to predict soul level attraction.
Once we let the clients know who potential matches are, we sit back and wait. Sometimes it’s destiny brought to life. A love so pure that Cupid actually uses an arrow to tie those people together forever. Sometimes though, it takes time and some tweaking to find suitable bonds. Despite the old saying, opposites almost never actually attract.
It's only been 2 years and so far our success rate is 92% with a total of 60 clients at any given time. I'd love to expand but finding humans with the ability to predict matches is hard considering I don't even actually have the ability.
Cupid keeps offering to see if any clients are my match but I keep saying no. I want to meet my person naturally, unexpectedly. Hopefully in a nice bookshop…..
