and i don't even know her name
It had started as all great high school loves did. At a house party where no one is entirely sure whose parents owned the house, and a healthy amount of alcohol mixed with the odd scent of skunk. Silver eyes had met blue, and suddenly two girls were locked in a battle of wills.
Ruby Rose had heard a lot of things in her lifetime, perhaps the rarest thing she had heard was no. She’d been spoiled rotten by her mothers and father, which showed every time she decided she wanted something. Ruby was also her mama’s daughter, which meant she didn’t shy away from anything, especially after she decided it would be hers.
Weiss Schnee was known for having a smart mouth. One day it would get her in trouble, but for now, the poison she spat tasted like heaven and was a sought-after commodity. She ruled her small kingdom whether she realized it or not. Somehow, the girl kept to herself, placing herself above everyone else while maintaining a fierce rivalry with Blake Belladonna.
A smug smirk from the silver-eyed girl, combined with an air of disinterest from the blue-eyed girl, the fight was on. They didn’t talk much before Ruby had Weiss cornered, and the smirk across her face only grew as she watched the smaller girl. She took a drag from the joint between her fingers, her eyes wideing as the blonde graps her collar and kisses her, sucking the smoke out of her lungs.
It’s not long before Ruby pulls Weiss onto the couch, making the shorter girl straddle her. They don’t break for air as Weiss’s long hair hides Ruby’s face from prying eyes. Weiss gasps as Ruby’s assault moves down her neck. The blonde threads her hands through the black and red hair of her partner as she realizes she’s going to try to convince this girl to go upstairs with her.
The redhead beats her to it, “Wanna go upstairs?”
“I’ve been waiting for you to ask.” Giggling, the girls rush up the stairs, continuing to make out as they go. Ruby pushes Weiss roughly against the wall, causing the short blonde to grin against her mouth.
Ruby opens the first unlocked door she finds, with Weiss’s legs wrapped around her, letting both of them fall to the bed, trapping the now wide-eyed blonde, “Whose house is this? Whose bed is this?”
“No clue, are you gonna take your skirt off yourself or am I going to have to?” Ruby was nothing if not honest. All she knew was that the longer they spent talking, the longer it would take for them to get to more enjoyable activities.
Weiss feels a grin come over her face as she leans back on her elbows, “Only if you take your shirt off.” Weiss’s shirt already thrown across the room as they had made out. Ruby on the other hand was still fully clothed.
“Fair enough.” Capturing Weiss’s mouth again, now for the fun part.
Blake rolls her eyes at the sign of her blonde-haired sister straddling someone on the couch in an intense makeout session, “Get a room.” She calls over, and Weiss doesn’t pause as she throws up a middle finger in the vague direction of her. While Blake wasn’t surprised to see Weiss had been drinking, she was a little surprised to see her so publicly making out with someone. Although it wasn’t like anyone would remember it come morning.
Weiss feels a gentle warmth as she stirs awake. There are arms around her waist, and her naked body is pressed against someone else's. The girl from last night, what a way to lose your virginity, she thinks to herself. “Hi.” A shy grin crossed her face as she looked at the other girl.
“Hi, we should probably get up. Can’t stay here forever.” Weiss nods in agreement even though she wants nothing more than to hide between the sheets with this girl. They take their time getting dressed, both looking at the other with small smiles. They were headed for something; all the two girls knew was that nothing was ever gonna be the same again.
“You need a ride?”
“Yeah, if it’s not too much trouble.”
“Pretty girl, you were trouble from the moment I saw you.” Ruby kisses her forehead, leading her down the stairs to where a red motorcycle is parked. Ruby’s pride and joy, Cresent Rose.
Weiss watches as Ruby swings her leg over the back. Weiss goes to follow before she realizes, “Where’s your helmet?” Her parents had taught her a lot, and if only one thing had stuck, it was the never ride without a helmet.
“I only have one, and since you’re my backpack now, you get it.” Weiss rolls her eyes but doesn’t complain as Ruby places the helmet on her head, fastening the strap. As the taller girl straightens the bike, Weiss places her hands on her shoulders, swinging her leg over. Even if it wasn’t a dream, all good things must end. Weiss motions for Ruby to stop at the end of the driveway, as the short girl hops off the bike, Ruby smiles. She reaches for the small girl’s waist, bringing her in for one final sweet kiss. They both have lovesick grins on their faces as they head in separate directions.
Three days after the party, a hand grabs her wrist as she passes a bathroom. Weiss almost squeaks as she’s pushed up against a wall, a hand over her mouth. Her body relaxes without having to try, now familiar silver eyes looking at her. “Meet me by the auditorium in 45 minutes. I’ll be waiting.” Weiss can only nod, watching the other girl walk away from her. This little game just got way more interesting.
45 mintues later on the dot, Weiss stands watching for the other girl. Ruby grins at her, locking the blonde is a passionate kiss. As they break apart Weiss remebers they never introduced themselves, “Weiss Schnee, pleasure to meet you.”
“I’m Ruby Rose.”
