Chapter 2
Lena had never regretted something more in her life.
And she was a Luthor.
That meant she had a long list of past regrets.
Very long.
But this?
This was number one.
Because Kara Danvers?
Kara Danvers was insufferable.
Annoying.
Teasing.
Killing her.
And Kara hadn’t let it go.
Not even a little.
Not even for a second.

The Morning After
Â
Lena woke up feeling warm.
Kara was curled up around her, arms wrapped tight around Lena’s waist, face buried in her neck.
For a moment, Lena smiled.
Because this?
This was nice.
She loved to wake in Kara's arms.
She felt safe.
Loved.
Since they are dating, she was so happy.
Until she heard it.
A whisper.
So soft.
So smug.
Right against her ear.
"Good morning, baby girl."
Lena shot out of bed so fast she nearly fell.
"KARA!"
But Kara?
Kara was cackling and smirking so hard.
She fell back onto the bed, grinning like a menace. "Oh my God, Lena, your face."
"I hate you."
"No, you love me," Kara said sweetly. "And you called me Mommy, so technically, that means I’m in charge now."
Lena grabbed the nearest pillow and smacked her with it.
''In your dreams Danvers!"
Kara just laughed harder.
She loved to push Lena's buttons who was always distant, cold and in CEO's mode.Â
And Kara won't stop.
It was so fun.
And ...
Lena was so easy to tease.
And so adorable.
Â
---
Lena thought she was safe at work.
She was wrong.
Because when she walked into her office at L-Corp?
There was a Post-it note on her desk.
Written in Kara’s handwriting.
Three words.
‘Mommy loves you.’
Lena stopped breathing and she crumpled it in her fist immediately.
Kara Danvers!
But then she turned—
And saw Jess, her assistant, watching her with wide eyes.
"Miss Luthor..." Jess said slowly. "Was that—"
"Nope. Nothing. You saw nothing Jess." Lena barked angrily.
"But it looked like—"
"Nope Jess, I am your boss so you didn't see anything."
Jess just stared. She totally saw it.Â
Lena turned away, flustered.
It was so embarrassing.
She was going to kill Kara Danvers.
Slowly and painfully. And she didn't care if she was SuperGirl. She was super annoying.
Â
---
Lena marched into CatCo headquarters later that afternoon.
She was on a mission.
Kara.
"Where is she?" she asked, glaring at Jimmy Olsen.
Jimmy just grinned. "Who? Your mommy?"
Lena’s eye twitched.
No way...
"KARA DANVERS!" Lena snapped.
From across the room, Kara peeked out from behind her computer.
And she was smirking.
"Oh, hi, baby girl," Kara said innocently.
Lena saw red.
She stomped over, grabbing Kara’s collar, yanking her up from her chair.
"You are going to stop this right now."
Kara just beamed. "But baby girl, I thought you liked when I took charge?"
Lena nearly exploded.
Behind them, Nia nearly choked on her coffee.
"Oh my God," Nia wheezed. "This is the best day of my life."
Lena groaned, burying her face in her hands.
She was never going to live this down.
Â
---
That night, Lena finally snapped.
She cornered Kara in the kitchen, grabbing her by the front of her shirt, pulling her close.
"Listen to me very carefully," Lena whispered. "If you say that word one more time, I will make sure you regret it."
Kara just grinned. "Oh? And what exactly will you do, baby girl? You will spank me?"
Lena’s eyes darkened.
Kara’s smile faltered.
Because suddenly?
Lena was smirking.
Lena leaned in, brushing her lips against Kara’s ear.
And then—
In the softest, sultriest whisper, she said:
"Yes, mommy, I will punish you to make fun of me."
Kara squeaked.
Visibly malfunctioned.
Lena grinned.
"Oh," she purred. "What’s wrong, Mommy? Can’t take what you dish out?"
Kara backed away. "Lena—"
"No, no, Mommy," Lena said sweetly, advancing. "What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue?"
Kara turned bright red.
"I—"
"What was that?" Lena teased, tilting her head. "Did you just whimper?"
Kara gulped.
"Okay, okay, truce!" Kara finally yelped, waving her hands. "Truce! I give up!"
Lena smirked in victory.
"That’s what I thought."
Kara pouted. "I hate you."
"No, you love me," Lena threw Kara’s own words back at her.
And then—
Lena walked away.
Leaving a very, very flustered Kara Danvers in her wake.
Because now?
Now the game had just begun.
