Health Help

They decided to go to their rooms and get healed there instead of going to Pomfrey; Harry basically had to beg not to go to the infirmary. They started to walk away, Harry tried to walk but fell straight to the floor; Theo tried to help him up but gave out a little yelp.

“Theo! Are you alright?”

Harry slowly got himself up and looked over to Theo; he had his left hand over his right shoulder. Theo looked a little shocked but Harry figured he knew exactly what was wrong. Draco and Snape, who had started walking ahead of them, looked back to see Harry standing next to Theo looking very concerned.

“I’m not sure, it’s my shoulder, I must have hurt it when they pushed us in the closet.”

Harry sighed; it was his fault Theo got hurt. If he wasn’t around him then nothing would have happened to Theo and he would be in class learning just fine and normally instead of in pain and injured. He didn’t care how hurt he himself was, he would heal, he always does it’s not like this is the first beating he ever had and he’s sure it wouldn’t be the last either.

“Mr. Nott, is something the matter?”

“Harry fell and when I tried to lift him back up my shoulder hurt. I must have injured it. I’ll be fine until we get to your rooms sir. But Harry might need some help; I think he hurt one of his legs.”

Harry just shook his head. He didn’t want to be a bother to anyone, he just wanted to get to his rooms and lay down and just relax, he had enough of the day and was still in semi shock from what happened yesterday.

“Harry, why didn’t you tell us you were injured, we would have helped you earlier if we knew.”

Draco got up to Harry and helped him stay on his feet, semi pulling him towards their rooms. Harry was a little uncomfortable and hurting but followed along, he decided to just go with the flow from now on. No matter what came next fate or destiny, or whatever was controlling his life, seemed to have a plan for him so he’ll just go with it.

It took a little longer than usual to get to their rooms due to Harry’s injury, but surprisingly Snape was being patient and understanding, which scared Harry a little.

Once they got to the rooms they placed Harry and Theo on the couch in the living room to get ready to help heal them.

“Let me see your shoulder Mr. Nott. I see; it looks like you dislocated it. Let me set it back. Draco, get me a pain potion for both Mr. Nott and Potter.”

Draco got them the potions and Snape helped set Theo’s shoulder back in place. It hurt but it was quickly done. Theo thanked Snape and Draco and then looked over to Harry.

“I’m sorry Theo, you should just stay away from me, I bring trouble wherever I go.”

Harry placed his hand on Theo’s other shoulder and tried to get him to see that he was better off without him around.

Theo just gave him a look and then looked over to Snape and Draco who both seemed unsure what to do at this time.

“Harry, it’s not your fault that others attacked us, they may have been after you but as a Slytherin they aim to get to us as well. It’s nothing new for us and since you’re an honorary Slytherin we are standing by you.”

Harry smiled at Theo but was still feeling very guilty about what happened. As for Snape and Draco they both felt very strange watching Harry with another male and acting so kind. There was some sort of anger and sharpness from their chest. Snape figured the bond was acting up again and Draco was unsure if he was jealous of Theo or if he was imagining things.

“Potter, let me take a quick scan to see what is wrong and we will fix what we can without going to Madame Pomfrey.”

Harry nodded and sat back on the couch letting Snape aim his wand at him and cast a spell. What he didn’t know was that Snape was about to do a full physical scan, which would show everything causing trouble at that time no matter how old the injury was. Harry had kept a few things away from them and he didn’t know that some of that was about to come out.

Snape did not look impressed.

“Mr. Nott. I’m going to have to ask you to leave. There are matters we need to discuss between us and I believe you are healed enough to go to lunch and your classes this afternoon. If anyone asks about Potter or Draco just tell them that I am with them.”

Snape realized he never did anything about himself missing classes but figured the students would just be happy to miss class anyways so he didn’t worry about it. Theo nodded and got up, gave a smile to Harry and a quick look at Draco; who seemed to be glowering at him, then he left the rooms.

“What’s wrong sir? Is Harry alright?”

Draco was worried, if this was something serious, which he thought it might be since Snape sent Theo away, he just wanted to be reassured that Harry was alright.

Snape though was not happy. The results showed that Harry had some injuries that never healed properly and was still causing him pain. Not even considering the fractured leg and rib and his black eye that was starting to show up from the fight they just dealt with, Harry was full of damage.

“Harry, why didn’t you tell anyone about all the pain you’re in? Madame Pomfrey would have helped you and I’m sure any other teacher would have as well.”

Harry just looked at Snape as if he was ridiculous. Tell a teacher? Like he never thought of that before? Just every time he told someone things would either get ignored or they would get worse. In elementary school if he told the teacher they would talk to his aunt or uncle and ask if everything at home was alright, his family would just tell them that he liked to cause trouble and that he lied a lot to get attention. Then when he got home he would get a worse beating than usual because he dared to talk to an adult. Then at Hogwarts… Well he tried to tell Dumbledore what his family was like but the headmaster just ignored him and told him how important family was, then just this year he tried to tell McGonagall what Umbridge was doing and she just told him to stop causing trouble and to keep his head down when it came to her. Let’s just say he learned his lesson that telling did nothing but cause trouble or make things worse, definitely didn’t help him at all.

“Let’s just say when I tried things didn’t go well or they were ignored. I was taught that telling people just caused more pain or got me known as a liar and exaggerator.”

Snape figured he could see his point since everyone already saw him as a story teller and such from his stories, Dumbledore sure didn’t help this kid at all.

“Well, we can help now. I think going to Pomfrey is a good idea, she’ll be able to help much faster than I could and then we could speak to Dumbledore and McGonagall about what we learned.”

Harry was just shocked. Why would they involve Dumbledore or McGonagall? It’s not like they cared before, it’s not like he hasn’t tried to involve them numerous times. Harry just shook his head, and stayed seated on the couch.

“Can we get Madame Pomfrey to come here?” Harry asked shyly.

“I can see if she’s busy or not at the moment, but it would definitely be better to go to her, she had all the potions and such that you might need.”

“Oh. Ok. Let’s go then.”

Harry didn’t want to go back out there but he knew he had no choice. Snape nodded his head and Draco helped Harry up again.

“Severus, can we fix his leg at least so he can walk properly?”

“Sorry Potter, but I don’t know for sure what other potions you’ll need for the rest of your injuries so it’s better not to give you anything right now.”

Harry nodded and just started walking with Draco helping him. He was used to pain anyways. Snape didn’t seem happy about the situation though.

'He seems so used to not getting his way. How was I so wrong about everything?'

Once they arrived at the infirmary, they set Harry on his usual bed and Snape went to get Pomfrey.

“Harry! Not again! You really need to learn to stay out of this place. I like seeing you but not like this!”

Madame Pomfrey was not impressed that one of her favorite patients was back once more. But once Snape showed her the medical scan he took, she was a mixture of happy and angry and sad all at once. She was happy that a scan was finally done; Dumbledore denied her the permission needed to do a full physical scan, but she was angry that she wasn’t allowed to do one beforehand and she was sad that Harry had to deal with all this pain for who knows how long just because she didn’t push the issue with Dumbledore.

‘This poor boy has had the worst luck and worst help from all the so called adults in this school unfortunately myself included.’

Snape and Pomfrey started to discuss what they were going to do with each other and started to plan everything they would do to Harry, they were at this for a while. Draco was sitting next to Harry and just paid attention to the conversation they were having. Harry just stayed sitting on the bed and stared down at his feet, he had nothing to add to whatever discussion they were having seeing as how they just kept looking over at him and then back at each other.

It was finally decided to get Harry under a dreamless sleep before fixing everything, they were just worried it would be too much at once if done awake. So Madame Pomfrey went to get the potion while Snape explained what would happen to Harry.

“Mr. Potter; Harry, Madame Pomfrey and I have discussed it and decided to just put you under a dreamless sleep so that we may do our best to heal you properly with no pain worries. It will take at least a couple of days but we do not believe it will be much longer than that. Draco or I will be with you the whole time and no one will leave you alone for one moment.”

Harry was nervous, he didn’t like being put under dreamless sleep, it made him feel floaty afterwards and just unsure about everything. But he remembered what he had decided to do, just follow along with what the others think. So he nodded his head and laid down on the bed ready to take the potion as soon as Madame Pomfrey came back. Draco held his hand, he still did not know what all was going on as he did not see the results of the full physical scan. He just knew it had to be bad to involve a dreamless sleep as those are addictive and given rarely in school.

“Alright Mr. Potter, here is the potion for you. We will take great care of you and I promise that Albus Dumbledore will hear everything from me.”

Harry panicked a little at hearing about them telling Dumbledore but he had already taken the potion and did not get a chance to tell them to leave it be. Knowing them they wouldn’t have left it alone anyways.

Once Harry was passed out the other three sat around him and discussed things further, including Draco into the details.

“Draco, maybe you should get your father here now. We need to get these muggles properly taken care of and Dumbledore as well. He had no business stopping you from doing these tests if you had any doubts and I am positive it is against our laws to stop a Matron from doing her job. Especially when children are implicated.”

Draco nodded and asked Madame Pomfrey if he could use her floo to contact his parents. While he was doing this Snape and Pomfrey were healing Harry as best they could. There were a few bones they had to rebreak and there were a lot of scars that they would not be able to heal but they did the best they could.

“Draco, why are we here if you are not the one in the hospital wing?”

“Father, mother; Harry was badly abused.”

Both Lucius and Narcissa looked at Draco in shock. Abuse of a child in the wizarding world is extremely rare, usually the child will find a way to get away or will tell another adult they have around. It’s not often that families do not have other members around.

“Tell us what you know, and what you expect us to do.”

“His muggle family never told him he was a wizard, he did not know until Hagrid came and got him to get his school supplies, not that he got all the supplies…”

Lucius was unsure about what his son was telling him, he heard from a reliable source that Harry was raised knowing their ways and prepared for his return to the wizarding world. Then Draco showed them the scars on Harry’s back.

“Narcissa, get Maxwell Rubble here, we will need his expertise.”

Narcissa goes back to the fireplace and places a floo call to their lawyer hoping to get an answer right away. Meanwhile, Lucius looks over to Severus asking him with his looks just what he plans to do now.

Severus sighed and nodded his head.

“Once we have the advice of a lawyer, we will be able to proceed with the right procedure. At this time the best we can do is get Harry healed and looked after. Unfortunately, the whole wizarding world did this child wrong by ignoring his plight.”

“Severus why were we all told that Mr. Potter was raised with our culture at his hands? Why lie to everyone and make him look like a blood traitor when he came back to our world?”

“I believe that is the headmaster’s doing. He wanted to alienate Harry away from people except those who he had under control, like the Weasleys. Unfortunately, Harry did not know all the enemies he has made or how he has made them, he was unaware of our culture or ways.”

This angered Lucius as he believed every child should know the wizarding culture and ways, he even suggests a class to be taught to first years but is always denied by Dumbledore. He figures Dumbledore likes to cause trouble between the purebloods and muggleborns, it makes him seem more open to everyone if he stops their feuds.

Once Narcissa comes back they decide what they should do before Mr. Rubble shows up starting with how much of Harry’s story should be told, Draco confirmed he knows most if not all of the Hogwarts stories from when they were both in the infirmary, but he does not know much if anything about his home life.
