Lucifer had been sitting in his room literally all day. It’s totally cause he wants to, not because he's avoiding people. This has nothing to do with the fact that Charlie may or may not be upset with him because he was a little blunt when talking about alastor.
But now alastor didn't matter, he was gone and out of the hotel forever as far as Lucifer was concerned. Maybe something could happen on his trip and he just happens to not come back.
Actually, maybe this was an opportunity.
With Alastor gone, Lucifer was free to snoop as much as he liked.
I mean, he would snoop necessarily, just went in to ‘fix a repair’ or something and if he happens to find something incredibly suspicious or incriminating, so be it. His excuse didn't really matter, not unless anyone found out. Which, they wouldn't. Lucifer had the whole floor to himself, and once in Alastor's room he knew no one else would dare to enter.
So, he decided to leave his room for the first time today, even if for reasons Charlie would definitely not approve of.
“She’ll totally thank me later.”
—---------------------
And so Alastor's ‘vacation’ began. By definition vacations are supposed to be relaxing, which is ironic at this point. Though all he had done was sleep all day it felt like the slash on his torso was fresh.
He kept drifting in and out of consciousness, promising that the next time he woke up he’d replace the bandages. After about 6 hours, Alastor realized he was in need of a little more self discipline. So instead of giving in to his heavy eyelids, he slowly lifted himself into a sitting position, his head resting on the head board.
He didn't even have to look to know it had bled through, he could feel the blood dripping down his skin. With a sharp groan, Alastor lifted himself out of bed and stumbled into his desk chair.
Taking off the previous bandages was the worst part. The blood had dried, gluing the wrap to his torso. It felt like he was pulling his own skin off, so uncomfortable and painful.
Then,

Lucifer stopped himself just as he was about to knock. Why on earth would he do that?? It's not like he respects the bastard's privacy, and even if there's no one there to answer. With a twist of the large brass door knob,
Click
He slowly started to push the door open so as to not cause any extra noise, when it was suddenly slammed back into his face.
The fuck?????
Lucifer was pretty sure there wasn't any spell on this door, he had checked. So what? Was he crazy or something??
He tried once more to open the door, the knob turned but it wouldn't budge as if something was holding it closed.
And then it clicked-
This time in his head
“Alastor..?” Lucifer almost whispered
At first he thought there was no way.
No way he got this lucky. Lucifer had just caught that stupid bellhop lying his ass off.
At first he wasn't sure, but his suspicions were confirmed by the strong stream of static coming from the other side of the door.
“Alastor? But aren't you supposed to be ‘out of town’??” he said that last part in his best radio demon voice, which wasn't half bad.
“What the hell are you doing here?” lucifer said, his grin bening audible
“I could ask you the same thing” A very staticy voice responded.
Shit. thats right.
“Uh- wh- thats uh- stop avoiding my question!”
“I’ll avoid your questioning all i want, you just tried to break into my room.”
“Yeah well that's cause i thought no one was there-”
“What? You do realize that's an admission of your crime right? So you were snooping?”
“I was not.”
“Sounds like you were, or at least attempting too.”
“But I wasn't”
“But you were.”
Alright this was getting old,
“Why are you being so defensive?? What, are you hiding something there?” Lucifer said as he tried to look through the crack in the door.
“No. This is a rational response to someone attempting to break into your personal chambers.”
Lucifer took a deep breath in and tried to push the door open once more. Alastor must have still been up against the door because that thing was not moving. The angel pinched his temples, tired of the constant back and forth.
“Ok al- bud-”
“Don't call me that.”
“Whatever- ill give you two choices, either you let me in and tell me what this is all about or i use a little force and let myself in.”
The air was quiet for a moment as Lucifer stood waiting for an answer. Then suddenly a high pitched breathy laughter came from the other side of the door.
Oh my god. Did he think this was some kind of joke?? Honestly what could possibly be so funny. Alastor should be spooked right now but instead he's doing a weird…psychotic..laugh??
“Do I sound like i'm joking bitch? I will bust in there.” Lucifer said with a stern tone
After a few moments of waiting he could hear some rummaging from behind the door as well as uneven foot steps stumbling around. The footsteps got louder until the door swung open.
“Please, do come in.” Alastor spat sarcastically.
He had been learning on the door for support, his ears pinned back with a matching scowl. Never had Lucifer ever seen the radio demon so..disheveled. There had been the last time he had knocked on this door but alastor looked much more messed up.
Lucifer scoffed as he brushed past Alastor to enter the room
“You look like shit.”
The door slammed behind him with the kind of force that would not come from just closing a door. Someone a little cranky.
Lucifer took a moment to scan over the room. It was surprisingly nice, A large four poster bed on his left and a little seating area to the right with a fireplace. Above it hung many stuffed animal carcasses, most being deer, as well as a long skeleton that resembled a crocodile climbing up the wall.
As he traveled closer to the fireplace to get a better look someone cleared their voice behind him. Lucifer turned to find Alastor sitting in one of two chairs facing the fireplace. He looked as if he was irritatingly waiting for something.
“What?”
Alastor exhaled and blinked in vexation.
“I'm assuming you didn't just break into my quarters to look at my wall decor.”
“Oh, right.” Lucifer took a seat in the second chair half facing Alastor and half facing the fireplace. This was his chance to finally get rid of Alastor, he just needed to play his cards right.
“Why’d you lie to Charlie?” Lucifer asked with a grin
Alastor's ear flicked as his snarl grew, “I’ve got no clue what you’re talking about.”
“Don't play dumb with me freak. You told her you were going out of town yet here you are. So why’d you lie?”
Suddenly alastor could not make eye contact, which was unusual for him. The silence was almost comical due to the crickets in the random swamp in his room. He’d have to check it out later cause as much as he hates alastor you'd have to admit its pretty cool.
Lucifer took the silence as an invitation to let his eyes wander. In the back of the room was a vintage looking wooden desk as well as a chair. On top of it lay a pile of bloody bandages pushed into the corner and a new roll of gauze. Why on earth would he be bandaging the people he's killing? I mean it's either that or-
Oh my god.
He must have said that out loud because now he had the others attention. In the glow of the fireplace Lucifer could make out a bloodstain on Alastor's shirt.
“You're hurt.”
Alastor's ear stood up straight, “what?”
“You got hurt, that's why you're hiding away.” Lucifer said as he pieced it together in his head.
“I assure you i dont-”
“It was Adam wasn't it?” he interrupted “oh my god it was! That's why it's taking so long.”
That seemed to puzzle Alastor, “What do you mean?”
“Your wound or whatever it is was caused by Adam, right?”
Alastors silence was enough of an answer.
“Because it was angelic power, your usual regeneration doesn't work because you're a demon.” Lucifer explained
“I'm not injured, you don't need to help me.” Alastor growled glaring through his eyelashes.
Lucifer hung his neck and gave Alastor a ‘really dude?’ look.
“You obviously are, wha- how stupid do you think i am?”
“Do you genuinely want me to answer that?” Alastor gave him a smug look
“A- wh- NO! You need help, and lucky for you there's a doctor in the house.”Lucifer stated pridefully.
“No there's not” Alastor looked truly confused.
Lucifer groaned and pinched between his eyebrows.
“I can heal you because I'm an angel.”
Alastor scoffed, “not anymore-”
“NOT THE POINT.” Lucifer inhaled, “It doesn't matter how long you give the wound to heal, it won't unless another angelic party is there to take it out.”
“And why would you help me?” he asked with an unimpressed look while leaning his cheek on his fist.
uh.
Why is he helping him?
Lucifer couldn't think of an honest answer. The guy has been nothing but a jerk and it would be a real benefit if he just dropped dead. So why was leaving him here not an option?
Of course it wasn't personal, Charlie would be so upset if he died and he could get extra dad points. That's why.
“Because Charlie likes you. If you died she’d be upset and if it's in my hands I can't willingly let that happen.” Lucifer watched as he fiddled with his ring on his lap. After a few moments of silence he looked up to find alastor already looking at him.
“I'm not giving you my soul.” Alastor said with more honesty then lucifers ever seen him with.
“What?? No- i'm not asking you to.” Lucifer waved his hands in Alastors direction with caution.
Alastor's eyebrows furrowed as he sat up in his chair.
“Then what do you want”
At first Lucifer thought that Alastor's deer features were purely ironic, a mockery of him. But now he could see it. Ears pinned up with wide eyes, completely still but ready to run at any moment. He’d hate to admit it but right now he felt kinda bad for Alastor. It was clear he wouldn't take it for free.
“Just- How about you play nice whenever other people are around, ESPECIALLY Charlie and i'll fix you up.” Lucifer stood up and extended his hand.
Alastor searched his face looking for any signs of deceit. It appears he found nothing as he met Lucifer's hand.
“Deal.”
