Chapter 15
Betty pov
After sending Stoppable and Yuri back to Japan with their warning of coming back uninvited or without approval, I sigh walking back to my office seeing my wife sat on my desk with the helmet frowning.
"I can't keep it?" She asks pouting.
"No Sophia, you know you can't"
"I won't use it to turn anyone evil, I could use it to turn evil into good" she offers.
Thinking it over I sigh abandoning that idea "no, because then we would be taking away free will"
"Why do you have to always be so good" she hisses hugging it.
Getting her to give me the helmet I send it down to be destroyed "Beth left with her mate and Shego".
Hearing something break I look back seeing she's smashed one of my Awards "why are you pushing that brat on Beth after what she did?"
"Because I know they would be great together"
"She humiliated her" Sophia yells.
"I know"
"Then stop this" she orders.
Pulling a file out I hand it to her "just read it yourself" I say when she frowns.
Feeling her yank my chair I grunt feeling her drop on my lap before turning the chair back to the desk "Omega in a family of Alphas and Betas" she mumbles.
Hearing the page flipped I feel her tense "what the hell is this?" she demands.
Leaning over slightly I look over her shoulder wrapping my arms around her waist "the night I met her I scared her on accident because I didn't know she was in the bathroom and I heard crying, I went to check thinking it was Beth and found her checking bruises and trying to doctor those".
"How did she get these?" She demands lifting the photo of Bonnie's back with scratches down it.
"She wouldn't say but I did some digging" I answer while flipping through the pages, then stop on what I found "she's a child from an affair, I don't think she knows that, but she's been to the doctor multiple times for abortions even before she presented, the man she thinks is her dad is the main donator for a group that supports treating Omegas as non-human".
"How's she not broken?" Sophia whispers looking through the medical section, I know she's upset with what I found but that question, the way she asked it I can tell she's impressed at this girl's spirit and will power.
"She's like you my love, she refuses to give up she's a fighter but she needs someone to teach her, Beth can save her from them but she needs someone to help her learn how a true Omega acts" I whisper, the girl's got some deep rooted reactions for survival but I can tell she's not broken she's hiding that she's been trying to escape by acting broken.
"But she rejected our baby" she mumbles without any real conviction to her words.
"I doubt she knew what she did because these monsters wouldn't have taught her anything about being an Omega, she seems to think everything's about sex but she's got fire, she gets mad and tries to challenge Beth but comes off seeming like a whiny child" I answer.
"You want me to teach her right?"
"If it's to much of a challenge for you I could always ask Helene" I say setting back and smirking.
"Like hell you will, this is my fucking job how dare you even hint that she is better for this" Sophia screeches jumping up glaring at me.
Before I can answer my phone rings and Sophia grabs is before I can "what the fuck do you want?" She demands.
"Yes, fine I'll tell her" she finally says before tossing my phone to the couch in my office.
"Well?" I ask.
"Our baby" she says sitting on my desk wrapping her arms around me while leaning back.
Following after her I pin her to the desk "what about Beth?" I ask since she seems distracted.
"Oh, um her, Bonnie, and Shego are moving in for a bit because someone called Buffoon destroyed their homes with a monkey" she answers with a confused frown.
Closing my eyes I shake trying to not laugh but fail "Sophia, she meant Ron Stoppable and Monkey fu".
Feeling a foot connect to my stomach I suddenly find myself on the floor in front of my desk and groan "you can take your knowledge of this bullshit and kiss my ass Betty, I spent years in hiding with only calls from you and Beth to keep me sane".
"You have never been sane" I grunt while getting up not bothering to point out she used her powers to watch us and communicate for years.
"Well hurry up, I want some chicken Alfredo" Sophia says before walking out.
Shutting down my office I grab my phone and leave instructions for my night shift leader then head out after her so she doesn't get impatient and decided to do whatever random idea she gets.
Beth pov
"Who's your soulmate?" I ask Shego seeing her pulling off her catsuit.
"How should I know?" she snarks.
Walking forward I touch her side where it use to be "bullshit only a handful of people can manage to touch you so who caught?"
"Princess did when she was 15" she grunts.
"Damn that's rough"
"Tell me about it, a child turns out to be my soulmate and I literally can't even try to build anything with her because her age, then I have to watch her date others and top that I had to watch her kiss that Buffoon and date him" She huffs out while tossing the suit away and walks out of the room naked to Mom's room pulling out some clothes.
Seeing her walk to the bathroom I turn to walk away but feel her grab me and drag me in "really?" I ask.
"Yes now talk to me" she orders turning on the shower.
"So why switch sides now?" I ask.
"She's almost 18, that means once she presents, I can try to build something with her"
Huffing I stand up opening the door and step out in the hall "Hey Shego, do your powers make it hard to sleep?" I ask.
"Yes, I sometimes over heat and end up taking my clothes off and open my window, if it's really bad I have to take a cool shower and slowly remove the hot water till its pure cold"
"I keep overheating and my bedding gets static cling" I mutter
"Get your room as cold as possible till you get control of it, there's not a lot we can do about static, but maybe those laundry sheets for it would help"
"Bonnie threw an orange at my head and threatened to make my life hell on earth then threw an apple because I said I'd pass" I say casually.
Hearing Shego laugh I smile slightly "she's brave to do that".
"I think she may actually be more then a whiny brat"
"Sounds like it, I mean you're not a push over and now a Meta she's either brave or insane to do that"
"I got a good knot on my head from the orange" I add rubbing the spot.
"You're mated to someone like your Ma it sounds like"
"How so?" I ask.
"When they met Betty was chasing down a criminal that was running, she accidentally stumbled into a human trafficking ring, she had to call for back up, after thinking they had everyone she turned to leave and someone threw a big rock at her"
"So what happened?" I ask leaning on the wall, I knew about the ring but not how Mom found it or what happened when they met.
"She found your Ma chained up, when she went to free her she kicked Betty in the face and cursed her out for being an Alpha, the second kick Betty caught but she grabbed Betty's arm, after a struggle Betty got her free and noticed her soul mark was gone, just like your Ma noticed hers was gone, Betty made it her main priority to help her recover but she eventually went after revenge and got it, then ended up someone Team Go had to fight a lot"
Smiling I shake my head "sounds like something out of some action romance movie".
"BETH" frowning I look up and see Bonnie running at me then ducking behind me.
"Damn that girl's fast" I hear Ma say.
"Beth, bring her down so we can meet properly" Ma calls.
Looking at Bonnie I see her turn pale and shaking her head no "let her calm down first" I call back.
