Chapter 5
Monday Beth pov
Walking into Kim's school I roll my eyes clipping my G.J badge with a visitor pass on while Eris sits on my shoulder, making my way to the gym I curl my nose at the scent covering the school "someone thinks to highly of themselves" I mumble smelling one scent over the rest.
Coming across a man standing with his arms crossed glaring at me I raise my brow but continue on to the doors I need.
Feeling my arm grabbed roughly I take a deep breath "let go of my arm" I say calmly.
"Where is your visitor pass" he demands trying to tower over me, smelling his scent trying to
cover the area I curl my nose looking at him refusing to back down or let him think I am.
Lifting my bage that holds it I show it and yank my arm free "there, now keep your hands off me".
Going to open the door I growl getting yanked back "I will tell you one last time do not touch
me" I growl yanking away.
Moving to go again I snarl feeling him grab me again, yanking him over my shoulder I slam him into the door before hitting him repeatedly in the stomach then kick sending him sliding across the gym floor while stalking closer.
"Your over inflated Ego means nothing to me, you are nothing but a pathetic man trying to
bully teens because adults won't deal with your shit Barkin, the military refused to take you
back because of your abuse of power, you will not touch me again or I will wipe the fucking
floor with you" I yell towering over him as he lays on the floor looking shocked.
"Beth?"
Lifting a finger to Kim I watch him get up slowly "get the fuck out of my face and get some
fucking therapy" I order.
He straightens his clothes with a red face glaring at me "you do not intimidate me keep pressing your luck" I growl before he stalks away.
Looking to Kim I smile "hey Cheerleader" I tease with a playful grin.
"What are you doing here?"
"I moved out of Mom's house and have no clue what to do with the place, I was wondering if you could help me?"
"Moved out?" She repeats.
Nodding I twitch slightly "okay" she mumbles glancing up at the lights.
Looking up I blush seeing them flickering and take a deep breath to calm down "that was
weird" Kim says frowning at me.
Kim looks to the group of cheerleaders as one moves to the top making her frown.
Seeing them struggle I tilt my head watching "they're gonna drop her" I warn.
Kim nods pulling her grappling hook, seeing the girl come falling back screaming I rush forward catching her feeling her head slam into my face over my eye.
Hissing I steady her before yanking my patch off "damn it, I'm getting tired of being hit in the face" I grumble touching it.
Kim pulls my hand away frowning "Beth your soul mark's gone" Kim says before I hear a
female screaming.
Looking over I frown seeing the girl I caught looking at her waist screaming "no this is unacceptable" she screams before pointing at me "I will never be with you" she screams.
Scoffing I pull my patch back on shrugging "works for me princess, you're not my type" I
answer smirking "why would I want someone so weak and pathetic" I add before tossing my arm around Kim's shoulders.
"Let's go Kim, you can help me figure out what to do with my house" I say leading her out.
Getting out of the school I chuckle playing the event off as nothing even though my soul mate rejected me without even giving me a chance while leading Kim to my new car "where did you get this?" She asks looking at my 1970 hemi.
"Something my cousin gave me since I moved out" I answer climbing in after opening Kim's door letting her in.
Taking off I glance at Kim seeing her frown "Bonnie won't take you rejecting her well".
Shrugging I smile "not my problem she rejected me first".
Kim nods then points to a street "you need help with style we need Monique".
Nodding I follow her directions to a house that she runs to the door of knocking.
Seeing her friend come out with her I smile slightly "girl, what are you doing in an Alpha's car?" The girl asks smiling but I can see the worry in her eyes.
"This is Beth, she's been helping me with missions, she needs help decorating her new place
since she moved out of her Mom's house, I told her we needed you since your the best"
The girl looks at Kim doubtfully then nods as Kim lets her climb in the back, taking off I head to the mall and quickly park getting out while waiting on them.
Following the girl in she walks backwards looking me over frowning "what style do you want?" She asks after a moment.
"Something similar to how I dress, but I'm lost on everything and refuse to ask my mom for help, I already have my furniture just everything is bare"
She nods grabbing our hands pulling us off to hot topic "I'm guessing most stuff we can find here, if not then we can look around" she says smiling.
Nodding I stop at posters flipping through them "what's your budget?"
"Don't worry about it I can afford it" I answer instead.
Grabbing some I like I follow them around looking as Monique quickly moves gathering stuff before taking the posters.
Following her to check out I swipe my card and take my bags letting them drag me to more
stores, once we finish I motion to a clothing store.
"You want stuff from there?" She asks frowning.
Laughing I shake my head "nope but it looks more like stuff you two wear, I figured I'd pay you back for helping me with this and get you something".
"Beth you don't have to do that" Kim answers.
"Hey now, if the girl wants to treat us then let her" Monique says before dragging us along
with her.
Sometime later
Sitting down on my couch I sigh seeing everything finished "so what's your thoughts?" Monique asks motioning around.
"Feels like home" I answer laughing "is anyone else hungry?" I ask.
"I could eat" Kim answers.
Nodding I make my way to the kitchen and toss a couple of Pizzas in the oven before walking back out.
"So how'd you meet Kim?"
Glancing at Monique I shrug sitting down again "G.J sent me to be her partner for missions".
"You work for them?" She ask pointing at my badge on the table.
"Kind of, it's more they bring me in on special occasions I don't stay around long since I like annoying people"
"So you a trust fund baby?" Monique asks.
"Kind of"
"Makes sense you spend like you don't care about money" she adds smiling.
Shrugging I frown slightly "I have a trust fund but I'm not a spoiled rich kid, when I was 15
my mom let me invest some of the money and I made some good investments, I don't have to worry about how much I spend but I don't just blow money for everything and even if I lost everything I could live off the trust comfortably even with a family" I answer unsurely.
"Oh girl, don't worry about it I just ment you didn't seem to care about spending"
"Not really no, but you two helped me I figured I could treat you too something" I answer.
Next day
Pulling up at the school I hop out and make my way to the gym noticing the big guy let me pass easily.
Walking to the bleachers I sit down waiting for Kim to finish up "are you really this pathetic,
I told you I won't be with you".
Shrugging I ignore Bonnie and her friends "not here for you anyways" I answer as Monique
comes in and sits by me "so what's the plan today?" She asks ignoring Bonnie.
Smiling I shake my head "not sure I was thinking we could check out Upperton, maybe hit a few places and buy somethings" I answer looking at her.
"Girl that place is expensive"
Nodding I shrug "not a problem, but now that I think about it I did see a few things last week that would look great on you two and I have to pick up my grandma a birthday gift, wouldn't hurt to see if I can find something for Kim since she's turning 18 soon".
Monique nods and smiles as Eris climbs on her shoulder and sits down.
Seeing Kim come up with her bag we stand and head for the exit "excuse me, do you even
know who I am" Bonnie demands.
Glancing at her I shrug "a spoiled brat but it's not my problem, now I have two beautiful ladies waiting for me and it would be rude if I kept them waiting" I answer before walking off hearing her scream.
"What did you do to make Bonnie Rockwaller hate you already?"
Glancing at Monique I smile "she's my soulmate and rejected me so I let her know I'm perfectly happy with not being with her, I guess she assumed I was here today for her and now she's mad I wasn't".
Taking off I drive us to Upperton shopping area and park heading for a store, I look around quickly before walking in the one I want.
Seeing Kim and Monique stop at some clothes I shake my head before moving to another "Elizabeth" I hear a familiar voice call mockingly.
"Sheila" I grunt.
"Awe is little Betty having a fun little shopping trip with her friends"
Seeing Kim rush up I hold my hand up stopping her from fighting "she's shopping Kim not stealing" I say calmly.
"Just walk away and no one has to be arrested, grandma would be pissed if you're not there
for her birthday" I add calmly.
"Aunt Elora can kiss my ass she's not my boss"
"She'd more likely kick it, now let's all just walk away and go on with our day" I say while grabbing Kim's arm pulling her back with me as Sheila nods stepping back, once far enough
she rushes out the store and I sigh.
"You're related to Shego?" Kim demands.
I nod turning to look at some clothes "she's who burned you" Kim hisses.
"Yes, but in her defense I did hit her first and she didn't turn her heat up to bad" I answer
shrugging.
"Turn her heat up?" Kim asks sounding confused.
"Kim, she can control how hot her plasma is, I mean come on she's burned holes into metal in
front of you, yet you walk away with maybe blisters at most, she always accidentally leaves you with a way to escape from traps, and has saved you on multiple occasions. Shego is a lot of things but she's not a killer and she would never hurt you on purpose, to her she sees
fighting you as a sparring match, someone who can hold their own with her"
Shaking my head at Kim's shock I move to another rack looking through them "she use to be a
hero, a member of Team Go she just got tired of Hego's bullshit and people looking at her like she's a freak so she left and joined that Blue moron because at least he didn't judge her" I add.
Hours later
Laying on my couch I sigh not really watching the movie I have on, hearing my door open I quickly roll off the couch ducking down to see who's stupid enough to walk into my home uninvited.
Seeing the person step in I launch myself at them and get thrown back to the wall before see a large hulking figure tower over me "what the actual fuck" I demand.
