Chapter 21
The school year was over, and Harry was finally free for the summer. Harry grinned as he headed off the train, waving goodbye to his friends as he searched for a familiar face.
“There you are, Harry. Finally, we can blow this boring place.” Puppeteer said, resting an arm on Harry’s shoulder, a lazy grin on his face. “We got things to do. People to see.”
Harry shook his head with a smile, looking at Pup and Helen, who was also there. “I just want to go home and be around sane folk for once.” Harry joked, making the three of them snicker as Helen lead them out of the walkway, leading the way to a slenderport.
“I do not blame you. Sounded like you had an eventful year, to say the least. How many?” Helen asked him, making Harry shrug a bit.
“A dozen I think?” Harry replied. To an outsider, this could mean a number of things. That’s on purpose, especially since they’re talking about how many death eaters died in the battle between Harry and Voldemort.
“Nice. Good job squirt.” Pup told him, ruffling his hair to cause a shout of anger from Harry. Helen only shook his head as he leads the two through the Slenderport.
“Harry!” Sally shouted, tackling him as soon as he came through, making the boy yelp as he landed, holding the ghost girl as she clung to him.
“Hey, Sally. You don’t have to hug me so tight. We just saw each other last week.” Harry joked, hugging the girl close. Sally just pouted at him.
“I still missed you! Also, I love the dress your friend made me! It’s so pretty!” Sally exclaimed, said baby blue dress on her currently. Harry chuckled, getting up while holding her.
“Well, I’ll let her know okay? She was happy to have a wonderful little model like you.” Harry told her, making Sally giggle before she broke from his embrace, running off to do whatever little killer ghost girls did around the house.
Toby then appeared from the woodworks, grabbing Harry and dragging him off, earning annoyed looks from Puppeteer and Bloody Painter, who were planning on having some time with their friend. “Harry! We need your help with t-this!” Toby told him, dragging him into the room where Ben and Jeff were arguing with Masky and Jack, Hoodie off to the side just watching the chaos with a smug grin on his face.
“What is happening?” Harry asked, blinking as Toby dragged him over beside the arguing four. Jack was the first to notice and sighed, annoyed. His mask was pushed up to rest on his head, making it easy for Harry to see his gray skin and the tar-blackened eyesockets. Harry had to fight back the blush that tried to form on his face.
He had figured out what those dreams were, and Harry was determined not to let them know that he had a crush on not only one of them but all six of them. Yeah, like that would go over well.
“Welcome back Harry. Sorry that Toby decided to drag you into this. You don’t have to worry.” Jack told him. Harry blinked, confused.
“You’re just mad that he would agree with us!” Jeff yelled back, pissed off as Masky rolled his eyes, his mask off as well, making his displeasure known.
“Unlikely. Harry would agree with us before he ever agreed with you two.” Masky taunted, earning a growl from Jeff.
“Can I know what you guys are arguing about first?!” Harry asked, just wanting to know at this point.
“These two think that the flavoring doesn’t matter for drinks like Gatorade and stuff! It so does!” Ben told him, crossing his arms and glaring at the two.
Harry just blinked, confused, before looking at them. “What? Why is this an argument? Actually.” Harry turned to Ben and Jeff. “How did you get these two to argue about something like this? This is something that they, as the logical ones, would NEVER argue about!” Harry asked, just deeply confused at this whole scenario right now.
“They insulted their manhood and a few other things,” Toby told him cheerfully when no one seemed to want to answer.
Harry just put his head in his hands, not believing what he was hearing. “Nope. You guys argue this out. Toby, Hoodie, you guys wanna hang out in my room until they’re done?” Harry asked, earning nods as the three left the four to their argument. Said four stared as the three left, various levels of surprise on their faces.
“We’ve corrupted him. He used to be so nice and shy. Now he’s just done with our bullshit.” Jeff bemoaned, watching them leave.
“Hoodie set us up,” Masky grumbled. “He knew exactly when Harry got off the train and made sure to get out of the argument before then so Harry wouldn’t know he was a part of it. Toby was just here for the chaos. Damn it.” He continued, running a hand through his hair.
“Still. It’s a little funny to see Harry get worked up like that. I kinda wanna get him worked up in different ways.” Ben told them with a grin, Jeff instantly looking at him and grinning as well, nodding in agreement.
“Do not,” Jack told them with a glare, but the two just smirked back and ran off to plan. The demon sighed.
What was in store for Harry’s summer? A whole lot of shenanigans.
