Glinda's Baby Girl
It was purely unintentional on Galinda’s part, when it happened. They were both half asleep, Elphaba curled into the blonde’s chest, mumbling random nonsense between the two. Galinda was drifting off murmuring her love, as her eyes closed she was she sat up abruptly when Elphaba shot up staring at Galinda like she hung the stars.
“What’s wrong love?” Galinda started. Unsure why the older girl was grinning.
“What did you just call me?” Elphaba was practically bouncing in place. Galinda had no idea. “You called me something, and I want to hear it again” Galinda’s eyebrow raised at the demand.
“Babe? What did I call you?” Running her hand through her curls, looking at the time she groaned. Don’t get the blonde the blonde wrong, she loves and adores her girl, but at this time of morning she just wanted her to go to sleep.
“You’ve never called me it before and I don’t know how else to respond, it made me feel safe and loved and I want it again” Galinda rolled her eyes, grasping her arms gently, she brought Elphaba down into her and twisted them on their sides.
“Elphaba Thropp I love you, but I am exhausted and so are you, so can we just table this for the morning.” Her girlfriend pouted cutely, Galinda kissed her gently “Go to sleep baby girl, now.” She felt Elphaba wiggle in place almost happily, before cuddling into her. ‘Oh the blonde understood now’ smiling she drifted off to sleep already planning the fun she could have with this.
Everything was normal over the next few days, Elphaba busy studying and Galinda, well she was just making sure her girlfriend ate food, drink water and take breaks to rest. Admiring her emerald girl, she smirked as she decided to test her theory now.
“Elphie lets go get some lunch, you need a break” she got a distracted hum in response. Frowning gently, she tried again. “Elphaba. Lunch now sweetness” her voice a little firmer and still nothing. Standing up she walked over to her girlfriend, closing her book and spinning her chair around, she crouched down looking at Elphaba she smiled softly. “You can come back to your books later but right now you need to eat baby girl, grab your stuff and let’s go I’m taking you off campus” she said delighting in darker green blush that lit up her girl’s face, kissing her cheek gently she walked back to get her purse.
The couple found a seat at their favourite restaurant, a small nook for them, away from the crowd, just how they liked it. Galinda just looked at Elphaba in awe, she wasn’t do anything different than usual, but she was so grateful to be in her presence. Elphaba was the only person in her orbit, in her galaxy and she was completely smitten. She wasn’t even embarrassed when the older girl caught her staring, she just gave her a charming smile.
“Why do you care so much about me getting out when I’m studying, I have been able to do it my whole life and I survived.” Galinda felt her heart drop. Of course, Elphaba was not use to this, wasn’t used to someone taking care of her. Galinda was determined to change that.
“Because Elphaba I love you, and I want to make sure that you’re taken care of, and I want to be the person to do it.” Galinda walked over to where she was sitting, grabbing her hand “You’re my baby girl, my love and everything I do now, is for you. I know it sounds cheesy but I mean it Elphie, I want you to come back to Frottica with me, if you’re interested” Now it was Galinda’s turn to blush, she went on a rant, she might as well propose to her girlfriend. She’s probably overwhelmed now. Looking up at Elphie she saw tears.
“Oh nonono baby, we can forget about the rant and I’ll ease up I swear…” she was cut off with a kiss, right there, her normally reserved girlfriend pulled her into a passionate kiss in public, although Galinda will deny the moan she let escape forever.
“Ask for our orders to go, we’re heading back to our room” Elphaba said against her lips, Galinda pulled away.
“What? No I told you, you have to eat before going back to study.” Galinda was confused when Elphaba laughed at her.
“Oh don’t worry I’m eating just not food” Elphaba said walking away hips swinging, Galinda gaped at her, before rushing off after her girlfriend. Once she got close enough to be heard, Galinda grabbed her hand.
“Give it your best shot baby girl” now it was her turn to saunter away, leaving Elphaba a blushing mess.
