A birthday is a holiday that can be both sad and fun. For Hope Mikaelson, this was the second option.
From an early age, Hope noticed that her mother was strict with her. Only the only person who was loved her was her father and aunts Hope.

When the tall brunette kissed her, time stopped around them.
"You have delicious lips" she whispered, licking her lips.
"Thank you, Your lips is delicious too" Hope joked back.
"Hey" the brown-eyed girl nudged her friend, who grinned broadly.

As the two girls went downstairs to blow out the candles, the younger Saltzman stopped her by gently grabbing her wrist.
"What's the matter, Joe?" Hope asked, but the other girl shook her head.
"It's nothing special" Josie chuckled, pulling her closer and touching her plump lips.
"Joe, if they see us?" the Saltzman girl reluctantly pulled away from her lover.

When the birthday girl blew out the candles, she made a wish that she had made as a child.
"Happy birthday, Hope!" the whole family shouted, and the girl was happy, but not her mother, who gave her a stern look.
As she blew out the candles, Hope looked at the brunette, who was smiling tenderly until Lizzie Saltzman, her twin sister, noticed.

And then Hope was literally nervous.

In truth, the woman was polite because she was friends with Forbes, but she was sick of her friend being so careless with her children.

Honestly, Hope wanted a different mother, just like Josie and Lizzie's mother.
