Finding The Institute
Piper wakes up to find Nora almost drooling on her arm, her very numb arm, but she doesn’t mind, Nora is one of the best things to happen to her since she had the caps to move to Diamond City, and with a soft groan Piper slips her arm out of Nora’s embrace, moving her shoulder about to try to get the blood flowing and she begins to get dressed, putting her underwear on, then her nice trousers, followed by her iconic trench coat, and the fabulous reporter begins typing on her terminal another edition of her newspaper
Love Is In The Air
A few nights ago a newcomer to Diamond City entered our ranks, she has since won my heart and won the hearts of almost everyone here by saving Nick, our valued detective
Here’s to many years of happiness!
Publick Occurrences
Piper saves her rough draft of her latest edition of her famed newspaper and heads downstairs to make some breakfast, nothing too fancy but enough to fuel the expedition what allures her today, as breakfast is beginning to smell nice Piper hears a creaking coming from upstairs, “Blue!” She exclaims happily as the former vault dweller hugs her from behind, grabbing her butt as well, making Piper jump a little bit but she loves it, and the two women have a lovely breakfast as Nat walks in saying about her friends, and Piper allows her little sister to hang out with her best friends, as there is important Blue stuff that needs being done, so the two women head for Publick Occurrences’ exit to see Diamond City’s best detective for more help on their case.
as Piper locks the door behind her and Nora, she feels the chilly air on her hands but almost in sync Nora’s hands collide with hers, making a mess of hand holding and the two women giggle, before walking happily to Nick, who pretty much says meet him at the only place that may be able to help them, the Memory Den in Goodneighbour so the girls start their trip to the underbelly of crime and drugs, but it’s ok they have each other and nothing can stop that.
Walking east towards Goodneighbour, guns drawn, the beautiful couple walk through barren streets, sneaking past Super Mutants, sneak attacking raiders and finally reaching the hellhole which is Goodneighbour, and they enter, seeing Nick waiting for them, the trio enter the Memory Den and begin to explain to Doctor Amari their predicament, confused at first Amari asks them what they think she could do, that is until Nora shows her a piece of Kellogg’s brain, more specifically a price of technology, unlike any human brain has ever experienced, and before long Nick is set up as a host while Nora is in a pod experiencing Kellogg’s memories, as Piper can do nothing but watch as her girlfriend sits, replaying some one of the worst parts of her life, before the pod breezes open, “Blue? Are you ok?” Piper says rushing to her side and at first Blue says nothing but eventually reassures Piper she is fine, before almost tearing up, but she does get her words out, “it’s teleportation” Nora says before walking out the room followed by Piper, almost as soon as they leave the room Nora starts to cry “oh Piper” she says, crying into her girlfriends loving embrace “it was so horrible I had to watch her die again” Piper understands her partners sadness, but cheers her up with a kiss and a stronger embrace, “it’s ok we can stay here for as long as you want” Piper says swaying her girlfriend and after what seems like a long while the Commonwealth’s power couple re-enter the room to see that Nick and Amari still are shocked over how to get into the Institute, but they are talking on ways, eventually settling on an ex employee in the Glowing Sea. And our two lovely ladies head south.
The air gets filthier as Piper and Nora head further south, passing super mutants, raiders outside an abandoned vault, and many disgusting insects, but that’s nothing to the thick fog creeping up on them, “here” Nora says giving her beautiful girlfriend a bottle of Rad-X, which Piper gladfully glugs in one foul swoop, Nora is shocked at how Piper could do that, but then deep down she knows that mouth can be used for other….intense purposes, and with a smile Nora leads Piper into the Glowing Sea, not much happens other than a few radscorpions and a deathclaw, which in itself is a big deal, except nothing overpowers the power of love, especially not a mutant lizard, and finally making it to a cave that looks like it could be habitable, Piper and Nora rush inside hoping to get some shade from the direct sunlight ruining their clothes with sweat.
Upon entering the dark cave Nora bumps into a set of tin cans dangling from the ceiling, and jumps out of her skin, but nothing comes of it and Piper grabs her partner’s hand to assure her she’ll be fine and the girls walk by a turret that seems to know they’re friendly, somehow, until they see a super mutant with its gangly green fingers on the trigger of an assault rifle “you’re not Kellogg” the creature spits out in a deep voice “no we’re not” Piper sternly says back upholstering her trusty 10mm pistol, “we killed that fucker” she continues as Nora draws her weapon as well, but as a knife could cut the angry tension in the room, the super mutant lowers his weapon, followed by Nora, but Piper still holds her weapon to the side of her curvy, luscious body just in case this turns south, and the girls tell the giant green monster about their plan, which he agrees to with a quick “you must be suicidal” but nonetheless, begins to draw up some plans for a teleporter and a rough idea for a courser’s brain chip, and the girls head back into the main city for the next phase of their plan, barely breathing thought he intense mist of the once strong ocean, now a powerhouse for radiation, but within time the women get back to the edge they came from, “thought I was gonna turn into a Ghoul back there” Piper says, half heartedly, nervous that she was intact maybe going to turn into a ghoul, but Nora just hugs her “you’d be the prettiest ghoul” she says smooching Piper’s cheeks, causing a quick flush of red to crawl over her face, and no it isn’t from a bloodbug bite, and the two girls share a Radaway, making sure what little radiation they got was taken away, leaving their skin flawless, at least for the Commonwealth standards, and after a quick kiss and a cheeky ass grab from each woman, they make the long journey back to the city.
As they’re walking through the Commonwealth the sky darkens, knowing it’s about to rain the two ladies hurry it up, but are caught as Nora feels a few drops drizzle onto her head, so the ladies begin to slow down, that is until Nora’s Pip-boy beeps, causing Nora to look straight down at her arm “0% signal strength” the beautiful ex vault dweller says, as she spinning around trying to get a clue where to go next “5%” she continues as Piper walks alongside her faithful companion, as that number steadily increases the two ladies sneak through the land, not bothering to be as quiet as possible because the newfound rain will cover most of their sounds, and the pip-boy goes mad on Nora’s arm, wiping away the rain drops from her display Nora calls out for Piper “95%!” She says as they approach a site known as Greenetech Genetics, heading inside the lovely couple can hear gunshots and screaming, but they continue their quest. As they’re walking through what seems like tons of dead gunners Nora grabs what she can, from guns to ammo to a nice newsboy cap she puts on “we’re matching!” Nora exclaims as she giggles and Piper stares at her partner full of love before giving her a nice hug and a quick peck on the lips. The two women have their guns out as the gunshots get louder and louder, but they don’t need to fire a shot, that is until the gunshots seem to come from the next room, the roar of the bullets and the sound of humans getting gunned down fills the floor, as Nora walks through the final door, to see a man dressed in what seems like a black coat, and the courser begins to speak, that is until Piper shuts him up for good, with an entire clip fires in seconds, scattering the institute’s slave’s brain all over the nearby wall and glass, before Piper makes Nora blush by saying that’s not as quick as her fingers can go, but Nora sees a woman behind the window, so she opens the locked door freeing the lady who thanks them non stop, and says she’s going to loot the place, as Piper and Nora loot the courser, hoping that the machine’s brain chip isn’t expired, but it’s not, so the women pocket it and leave, before heading home for the night.
Walking into Diamond City the rain begins to slow down, but it’s too late Nora is already wet, and so are her clothes, Piper is partly dry though thanks for her heavy trench coat, and they are about to head to Publick Occurrences before Nora invites Piper to the noodle bar, which she gladly accepts as she needs some food right now, with her stomach growling Nora orders two bowls, and gives one to her loving girlfriend, who begins to chow down, while Nora just looks at her, heart exploding with love as she eats her noodles happily, knowing her life is full, and nothing can stop that, so the two lovely ladies finish their dinners and head back to Publick Occurrences to sleep of the night, making sure Nat is ok in her bed, because she used Diamond City’s spare key to get inside much to Piper’s sneaky happiness, because her little sister is turning into a sneaky girl just like her older sister, and Piper brings Nora up to their shared bed, where they undress each other before falling asleep in a warm embrace much to Nora’s happiness as she loves the opportunity of being squeezed by Piper.
