Chapter 1
Nora walks through the ruined city she once knew as home, gun in hand, and the weather wet as her vault suit can only cover so much and Nora doubts umbrellas are easy to come by, so she heads to the baseball stadium Mama Murphy said would help her quest, but all that doesn’t seem to matter when Nora sees an absolute gorgeous lady at the front gates.
“Let me in I live here” the black haired woman says to the intercom, who fires back something Nora can’t hear but just as Nora goes to intervene the lady turns around “hey you! You want to get in right?” She says and Nora blushes and nods, speechless due to the woman’s stunning beauty “good just follow my lead” the trench coat wearing goddess carries on, “what’s that you say? You’re a trader from Quincy?” She says into the intercom and the guy on the other end just groans and let’s then in, and a man who looks like he’s trying to be classy stops the woman in her tracks and an argument Nora can barely hear as she’s focused on that lady begins, Nora being Nora has to intervene though and she gets asked an important question about the press, “I always believe in freedom of the press” Nora says feigning a confidence as in reality her knees are shaking as she stands up for the woman she just met but already fell in love with and Nora gets thanked for helping her and a promise for an interview later and Nora heads on her way, not before staring at Piper’s ass as she walks away but all Nora cares about is her now, not her kid, not her dead wife, just Piper so she runs after her.
”Oh I didn’t realise you wanted to do the interview so badly” Piper says as she barely enters her house before Nora arrives and Nora just smiles “anything for you Piper” “ok Blue” Piper says to which Bora questions it “because of your vault suit” Piper explains and the interview starts, just with deep questions about how the Commonwealth is, what Nora thinks of Diamond City and other hard hitting questions before the interview is finished and Piper thanks her for her time, “how bout this Blue? How bout I follow you around helping you out in the Commonwealth?” Piper says in response to Nora’s interview and Nora’s ears can barely understand what they just heard as her heart explodes in joy, so all she can do is nod and thank Piper, who just grabs some bare essentials and follows Blue out the door making sure to say goodbye to Nat as they walk by, promising to be back soon.
As much as Nora loves Piper she can barely hold back tears as she thinks Piper might get hurt or worse because of her “what’s wrong Blue?” Piper says elegantly, “no nothing don’t worry about it” Nora quickly wipes her eyes as they walk about the city looking for any kind of loot, and they hear a woman “help! Help!” The stranger says as she begins a run into the building “she’s seriously injured and needs help! Please!” She says as she runs through the door of the former hardware store and Nora goes to follow her “hold on Blue something seems fishy” Piper says putting her arm out which gracefully lands on Nora’s breast but Nora doesn’t say anything because she loves it and doesn’t want it to stop and Piper grabs Nora’s hand while quietly sneaking around the back, where she sees two raiders, “I knew it!” Piper whispers before shooting the two guys in the head with her 10mm pistol, wasting no time and missing no shots, and Blue stands there almost jaw dropped as she now knows how badass her companion is and Piper smiles before they enter the shop through the back door, where a bunch of raiders are standing around, unknowingly about to succumb to the same fate their friends outside did, “see Blue?” Piper whispers “you can’t trust much people here anymore” she continues as she brings her pistol sights up to a raider who is about to get an early grave and fires, alerting everyone else in the building, but putting down one stupid thief, and Piper runs into cover, followed closely by Blue who fires a few shots of her own as bullets fly by the women’s heads before a few are fired back and more grunting and falling can be heard throughout the building as the raiders drop one by one, until there’s only one left and making sure there’s only one left Piper gets out of cover, holding her pistol steady as she looks around the place, before seeing the last raider reloading and before the next bullet is even considered to go into the raider’s gun Piper fires a 10mm straight through his head and the two women meet back up happy they’re not both dead, as they leave the building though it gets darker and Piper has to ask “so where are you sleeping tonight?” And Blue gathers her thoughts before replying “I suppose I’ll have to head back to the vault” and Piper looks slightly confused “No Blue you’re staying at mine now” and Blue’s eyes light up at the possibility of sharing a bed and cuddling with the amazing reporter and Blue thanks her for allowing her the pleasure and they head back to Diamond City.
Upon entering Piper’s house Nora has to leave quickly with nothing but a “hold on” to keep Piper guessing what’s happening, but as she sits down on her couch and gathers her thoughts Nora returns with a bottle of alcohol “this is for letting me stay here” Nora says as she opens the bottle and takes turns sipping the beverage, after a while the bottles empty and the two ladies feel almost no buzz “well that’s fucking lame” Nora says as Piper laughs and goes to find something to eat, before deciding on just spending some caps on noodles, so she takes Blue for outside and to the noodle bar, where she hands some caps over for two warm, satisfying bowls of noodles, Piper’s favourite and they dig in, slurping and moaning in satisfyment and Nora can’t help but to think is that what her new companion sounds like in bed, but shakes the thought as she has no idea if Piper is even into women let alone her and within a few minutes the breeze chills and the ladies finish their late dinner before calling it an early night, heading home.
locking the door behind them Piper says goodnight to Nat who is already asleep in her sleeping bag, before heading up the creaking stairs slowly as to not wake her younger sister up and Nora follows suit before they both sit on the bed, and Piper is first to lay down as she tells Nora to join her “don’t be scared Blue I don’t bite” and Blue giggles as she joins the reporter in her small bed, effectively guaranteeing some cuddles, Nora making sure to face away because even though she would love to see Piper all the time, she would like the feeling of Piper’s crotch on her ass, so she snuggles in and Piper wraps her arm around her before they both fall asleep.
