Hi! Please read, it's important! I just want to say that I'm French, and English is not my strong point. I fill in the gaps with the internet, but don't hesitate to tell me if I need to correct something. Thanks! Happy reading!

The Great Battle (Part 2)

The forces of Auradon, accompanied by the resistance, arrived at the foot of the Queen of Hearts' palace. The road had been long and arduous, but they were finally here, ready to face the Queen's elite army that awaited them. The air was thick with tension, every heart beating with palpable intensity.

Ben stood at the head of the troops, his sword raised. "For Auradon!" he shouted, his voice echoing across the battlefield.

The battle cry was taken up by the soldiers, and the battle began with renewed ferocity. The Queen's elite guards charged forward, weapons flashing in the flickering light. The clash of swords and battle cries filled the air, creating a macabre symphony of violence and determination.

Red and Chloe fought side by side, their movements synchronized as if they had years of training, and by a deep mutual understanding. Each swing of their swords was a declaration of their love and determination to protect their kingdom.

At one point, Chloe was surrounded by a group of elite guards. Red, sensing the danger, rushed to her side, parrying attacks and pushing back enemies with determined ferocity. They protected each other, their swords creating an impenetrable wall of metal.

“We have to move forward!” Chloe shouted, her voice tinged with determination.

Red nodded, but she took advantage of this miraculous moment of respite to grab Chloe by the arm and force her to turn around. Their eyes met in an exchange of silent understanding. They shared a short kiss, a moment of love and tenderness stolen in the midst of the chaos.

“I love you, princess,” Red whispered, tears in her eyes.

“I love you too,” Chloe replied, her voice filled with emotion.

But the respite was short-lived. An explosion rang out, forcing them apart. Red tried to reach Chloe, but the battle was pulling them inexorably apart.

Eamon, the leader of the resistance, fought fiercely, leading his men with courage and determination. But in the tumult of the battle, he was struck by an enemy spear, the blade piercing his armor.

Maddox, fighting at his side, watched the scene unfold in slow motion. "Eamon!" he shouted, his voice cracking with pain and despair.

He rushed to Eamon, his heart heavy with grief. Eamon, gasping for breath, raised a trembling hand to grab Maddox's. "Keep going..." he whispered, his voice weak but filled with determination. "For... freedom."

Maddox squeezed Eamon's hand, tears streaming down his cheeks. “I promise you, Eamon. We will continue.”

Eamon smiled weakly before the life left his body. Maddox straightened, the pain of loss turning into fierce determination. It was then that he caught sight of the Queen of Hearts, ready to flee inside the palace.

A cold resolve settled in his heart. He knew what he had to do. “For Eamon. For freedom… and for Red,” he whispered to himself.

Maddox rushed towards the queen, using his last strength to stop her from fleeing. He knew it would cost him his life, but it was a sacrifice he was willing to make.

Red, reaching for Chloe, saw Maddox rushing towards the queen. His heart clenched in terror and despair. “Maddox, no!”

But it was too late. Maddox threw himself at the queen, holding her with all his might. The elite guards rushed to protect their queen, striking Maddox mercilessly. Each blow was a brutal reminder of his sacrifice. Miraculously, he managed to wound the queen, weakening her a little… before being pushed back completely.

Red rushed towards them, but was pushed back by her mother’s soldiers. “Maddox!” she cried, her voice torn with grief.

Maddox, his strength failing, looked up at Red. “Keep going…” he whispered, his voice weak but resolute. “For… Eamon. For… Wonderland.”

Red, tears streaming down his cheeks, nodded. "We will continue. I promise you that."

Maddox's last breath left his body, his sacrifice becoming a beacon of determination for those he left behind. The pain of loss was overwhelming, but it transformed into an unwavering force for Red and the troops of Auradon.

They stood, their hearts heavy with grief but strengthened by determination. The battle continued, every moment a struggle for survival and victory. Red, guided by Maddox's memory, pushed forward with renewed adrenaline and determination.

Chloe, for her part, fought fiercely, her love for Red and her determination to protect their kingdom giving her the strength to overcome each obstacle. She knew that Maddox's sacrifice would not be in vain, that their fight for freedom would continue.

Maddox's sacrifice and Eamon's loss were poignant reminders of the price of freedom, but they were also beacons of determination for those who continued to fight. Red, Chloe, Ben, and the Auradon troops pushed forward, pushing back the Queen's guards and finally reaching their objective: the palace.
