Morning Happiness
The next morning, Red woke up gently in Chloe's arms. She thought back to the events of the previous night, and a smile played on her lips as she remembered their first kiss. A wave of happiness washed over her, and she snuggled a little closer to Chloe, trying to hide from the morning sun by burying her head in her friend's chest.
Chloe giggled softly, which made Red understand that she was awake. Red sat up slightly and looked at her with narrowed eyes, a tender smile on his lips. "Good morning," she whispered.
"Good morning," Chloe replied with a smile. Red leaned down and kissed her tenderly, savoring the softness of her lips.
Chloe looked at her affectionately. "You're incredibly adorable in the morning, you know."
Red pretended to frown. "If you reveal my secret, I'll have to kill you," she said jokingly.
Chloe played along, a mischievous smile on her lips. "And how do you plan to kill me, Red?"
Red thought for a moment, then replied with a mischievous smile. "I'll smother you with kisses."
Chloe burst out laughing. "Well, in that case, I'm ready to die happy."
They shared a complicit moment, laughing and exchanging teasing. Red enjoyed the calm and Chloe's caresses in her hair. She realized that she particularly liked it when Chloe touched her hair. It had a calming effect, as if each caress dispelled her worries and fears.
"I love it when you touch my hair," Red murmured, her eyes half-closed. "It calms me so much."
Chloe smiled and continued to gently stroke Red's hair. "I'm glad it makes you feel good, I'll do it more often then. »
“You know,” Red said suddenly, “I was afraid it was just a dream, that I would wake up alone in my bed, and that we never kissed.”
Chloe reassured her, squeezing her hand gently. "This isn't a dream, Red. We're here, together."
Red felt a wave of relief wash over her. Chloe looked at her fondly and kissed her forehead. "Red, will you be my girlfriend?"
Red's heart raced, and Chloe noticed she could hear her heart ticking from where she was. "I can hear your ticking from here," she said, smiling.
Red blushed furiously before answering the question. "Yes, I want to be your girlfriend," she replied, trying a little teasing jab to regain control of her emotions. "But you know, you don't have to make it an official request and all that."
Chloe smiled, and managed to disarm her even more. "I can't help it, Red. You are the most wonderful person I have ever met. You deserve all of this."
Red, touched by these words, asked with a smile. "Are you always this romantic?"
Chloe shrugged with a mischievous smile. "I am charming, after all."
Red pretended to think. "That's debatable," she said jokingly.
Chloe pretended to be offended. "Oh, really? Well, I'll have to prove you wrong."
