Alchemy in Chemistry Class
In chemistry class, the teacher announced that they were going to be paired up for the next experiment. Red ended up with Chloe, which didn't really surprise the latter. After all, they had worked together before, and Chloe knew that Red loved chemistry. But she had no idea how good Red was at it.
"Today, we're going to work on a simple chemical reaction," their teacher explained. "Follow the instructions carefully and don't hesitate to ask questions."
Chloe, although slightly intimidated by her previous misadventures in chemistry, was determined to do well this time. Red, for his part, had understood that his friend didn't understand much and decided to take the time to explain everything to her.
"Okay, Chloe," Red said with an encouraging smile. "We're going to mix these two solutions to create a reaction. Do you want to start?"
Chloe took a deep breath and carefully poured the first solution into the beaker. Her hands were shaking slightly, but she tried to stay focused. "Now what?"
"Now, we slowly add the second solution," Red replied. "Go easy."
Chloe did as she was told, but a drop fell next to the beaker, causing a slight hiss. "Oops... sorry," she said, laughing nervously.
Red smiled, amused by her friend's clumsiness. "Don't worry. It's just a drop. Try again."
Chloe continued, taking extra precautions. Red, at her side, explained each step to her with patience and precision, making sure that Chloe understood the process well.
At one point, Chloe, a little too enthusiastic, slightly spilled a solution while trying to mix too quickly. Red quickly grabbed a cloth to clean up the mess. "Easy, Chloe. Chemistry is also a question of patience."
Chloe blushed slightly, but she continued with determination. "Yes, I understand. Thank you for your patience, Red."
"No worries," Red replied with a smile. "Look, now we're going to observe the color changes."
By the end of the experiment, everything had gone smoothly. Chloe even allowed herself a little self-mockery. "Well, at least I didn't blow anything up this time." » She winked at Red, who got into the game.
"Congratulations, Chloe," Red said with a teasing smile. "You survived a chemistry experiment without blowing up everything."
The professor, observing their dynamic duo, approached with a smile. "Good job, you two. Chloe, I see you've made progress. Keep it up."
Chloe, delighted, replied enthusiastically. "That's thanks to Red. She's a great teacher."
Red, a little embarrassed by this sudden attention, looked down, but couldn't help but smile. "Thank you, Chloe. I'm glad I could help you."
Chloe gave her her best smile. "I really mean it Red, you're really good at this."
Red remained silent, shy... but her heart raced at Chloe's smile.
