She was only ten when this happened.
It was a cool summer night that is in an otherwise quiet neighborhood and in one of these houses is a bratty redhead girl named Gwen Tennyson.
She couldn't fall asleep no matter how hard she tried, mainly because she was more upset than anything. Her parents had decided Gwen would spend this summer vacation on a road trip with her grandpa and her cousin Ben who she for the most part couldn't stand at all with this completely throwing out her plans she already put together for her organized break which she always does.
School let out in just three days and Gwen was dreading it now more than ever before and unfortunately, she knew no matter how much she whined and complained, both her mom and dad weren't budging on this. She was going on this trip whether she wanted to or not and it drove her crazy.
Gwen had finished twisting and turning in her bed when she finally felt tired and was about to fall straight to sleep..... when in the middle of this almost breezy night, she heard a voice out in the street that woke her.
"Gw-e-e-e-e-en". It was a sly female voice calling out to the girl.
She got up out of her bed and looked out the window but saw nothing.
Right when she laid back down on her pillow, the voice whispered to her again, "Gw-e-e-e-e-en, I'm on your porch".
Gwen's eyes remained wide open as the voice continued, "Oh Gw-e-e-e-e-en, I'm opening your front door". She heard it unlock and open.
"Gw-e-e-e-e-en, I'm coming up the stairs". She heard footsteps slowly walking up and taking their sweet time.
"Gw-e-e-e-e-en, I'm on the first step. Now I'm on the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth".
Gwen who was now terrified called to her parents but they didn't hear her. Then the voice said something that sent shivers down her body and made the hair on the back of her neck stand up.
"Gw-e-e-e-e-en, I'm on the top step".
"Gw-e-e-e-e-en, I'm in the hall now".
"Oh Gw-e-e-e-e-en, I'm now right outside your room".
The usually petty, obnoxious and bratty know-it-all was now stuck in her bed, filled with fear.
Then the voice whispered "Oh Gw-e-e-e-e-en, I'm standing right next to your bed".
A stunned Gwen felt a pair of eyes and a shadow on her, looming over. She looked up and saw to her horror, a tan skinned teen girl wearing a magneta coat with purple at the ends, a strange bag around her waist, long silver hair in a ponytail and had her hands on both her hips as she looked directly at Gwen with glowing light purple eyes and a sadistic grin on her face.
"Oh Gw-e-e-e-e-en, I love your footie pajamas".
"I'VE GOT YOU!!!!!"
She yelled as she grabbed hold of Gwen as the latter screamed.
Suddenly, Gwen's mother came rushing in and turned the lights on.
"There's somebody in here!", she screamed.
They looked and looked, nobody was there.
Luckily for the teen girl that was in her room, the two of them would meet later on that very summer.
