SO BASICALLY Haruka applies to be an idol at a different agency in middle school. She got an offer for a band called ASRUN but she turned it down for a different agency
BUT
MINORI
IS ALSO APPLYING AT THE SAME TIME
So while they're all waiting Minori and Haruka start yapping a little and then Minori goes up for her audition and Haruka like the gay ass she is realizes that Minori SPARKLES
like she describes it as something she's never seen before, Minori's charm. So she decides right then that she wants to work with Minori
SO YEAH

And then they become BEST friends!!!!! Like haruka even says that she won't be become an idol here unless minori is in a duo with her (that floors minori btw)
also Minori's childhood friends with Akito and Haruka is always confused at their contrast (they're neighbors)
