BASICALLY Shizuku kinda gets lost underwater (not sure how yet) and is all like “blubblubblub where the FUCK am I???” and she runs into Airi who's all like “?????? what the fuck?????”
(The rest of more more jump are all mermaids, while Shizuku is a human)
So basically Airi kinda hates Shizuku because humans are outlawed underwater, they meet Minori and Haruka who are all like “WOW!!! A real human!!! Haruka-chan look!!!! A REAL human!!!” “I'm looking, Minori”
Anygays, Shizuku needs to get back home because she's a princess and she feels guilty for leaving everything to Shiho and Minori's all like “oh! that's easy (shmile)” so they go on this grand adventure to try and get Shizuku back home and Shizuai has this whole one-sided enemies to mutual lovers arc. idk it's complicated but Airi does NOT like Shizuku in the beginning.
