Janis looked at the computer screen for a moment. she didn't actually expect to actually be interested in this.
"Hello??..going to leave me hangin'.?" a notification appeared again
"shit-" janis muttered quietly underneath her breath as her hands ghosted above the keyboard as she realized how long she was taking to reply and the fact she didn't even know what to say.
Janis typed a quick "hey" as she trailed off as she leaned back in her chair as she looked at the small crack in her door as she saw her mom walk by. before looking back at the screen and typing "need some company?" as she crept a small smile from the corner of her mouth.
suddenly, janis was constantly on her computer, which was werid since janis wasn't the electronic type. but she was too busy talking to this woman back and forth.
damian found it amazing that janis finally got a girlfriend instead of being the third wheel to his or cady’s dates anymore. cady wasn't too enthusiastic or thrilled when she found out how old this woman that janis was talking to could've been almost all of their mom's ages.
Janis didn't care, really. It felt cool in her eyes to date someone older. however, when this older woman one night messaged janis , if they could meet at a bar together.
Janis felt this pit of dread in her stomach. Something about meeting someone online for the very first time felt weird.
apart of janis logically for a second to not go- to get the fuck out of this- thing she got herself into.
"we could meet at a bar friday night" the message wrote. janis stared at the message again. before she shrugged as she replied.
later on into the week janis stood outside of the bar with damian. she wore a black suit and did her hair. damian wore his white suit etc.
they got in luckily with some fake ids. the bar was crowded full of people inside, music was blaring loudly and stuff.
janis started to scan the bar for this women she was going to meet. as she pushed her way through the crowd, her eyes landed on the older women sitting at the bar by herself. janis slowly made her way up to her.
the lady turned to janis as her eyes trailed up janis’s body as janis sat down next to her. janis awkwardly blushed a bit as she looked down at the floor
the lady stirred up a drink she had next to her and pushed it towards janis offering her a fizzy drink as she spoke "you look better than I'd imagine in person"
Janis grabbed the drink as she spoke "thanks-" she trailed off as she drank the drink, the lady's eyes slowly watched. janis put the drink down slowly as she continued "You look good aswell" she gave an awkward smile.
the lady smiled as she spoke, "I know I do" as she slowly leaned forward as she began to talk to janis more.
janis couldn't really listen to whatever she was saying, everything was feeling like a blur, her ears were slowly ringing and etc.
the lady smiled as she stared infront of her a very dazed out janis.
