To be honest Eddie wasn't expecting an answer until morning but then his phone buzzed.

Why are you up so late?

Can’t sleep :( i have these thoughts that keep me up at night :P

Ok… anyway.. Are you single? Your sister did not clarify that.
Buck!! :0:

How about we call for a bit? I wanna know if the guy I'm talking to sounds good.

Oh ok! Sure, Maddie's asleep though so well have to be quiet :))

Alright then
Eddie hit the call button without hesitating. It rang a few times but it finally picked up at the fifth ring. “Hello!” Buck's voice was soft yet loud, it sounded like a golden retriever had just learned to speak human words. Eddie chuckled, “hi, i thought your sister was asleep?” Eddie suddenly could hear shifting from the other side. “Oh yea! But it's ok, I don't think she minds… I think…” Buck giggled to himself. “If you say so..” Eddie smiled. “So buck.. Tell me about yourself, what do you like?” “oh well I really like animals and i go to the zoo almost every weekend! Also I work out almost everyday and go on late runs so I'm really strong” Eddie could hear the smugness in Buck's voice. Oh how fun it was gonna be teasing the man. “Oh yea? You think you're strong?” Eddie smirked to himself. “Duh! Of course I am!” Buck laughed on the other side. Eddie hummed. “How about I take you on a date?” Buck went quiet for a little while. “Um o-ok.. When? I barely even know you.” Eddie chuckled, “Oh you’ll know me soon enough”
“Really?”
“Really, and we can meet tomorrow. You know that cafe in the city? We can meet there after lunch. 2 pm works for you, pretty?”
“Y-yeah that works… see you tomorrow Eddie.” Eddie smirked to himself, excited that he could finally meet the man he could probably have as his.
“Bye Eddie, i have to go.”
“Bye bye.” darling. Eddie held that back before hanging up.
He flopped onto the bed, the man behind the screen sounded adorable.

Morning came fast for Eddie, the moment he woke up he went to get ready. Eddie put on a white button down and a black leather jacket but not those gangster kind, the ones that actually look nice, and some dark jeans and pointed leather shoes. Eddie knew it was early but he was excited, plus he had a business meeting to attend too.
The morning passed by quickly, Chris’ online private classes were a breeze for him, then Eddie did some building blocks, then a boring boring meeting with some business men. Soon enough lunch was here, Chris chatted happily about going to the zoo and being a good dad, Eddie listened intently. Around 1.30, Eddie was getting ready to leave.
“Daddy!! When will you be back?” Chris asked, giving his brown puppy eyes. Eddie's eyes softened, “oh Chris I'll be back before 10 ok? And if you're asleep I'll give you a quick kiss, promise, daddy has a date and will be back a bit late. Will you be good and sleep early for me?” Chris nodded. He wanted Eddie to be with him since his sixth birthday is coming up soon. “I will daddy! Have fun.” Eddie smiled, “bye superman.” He gave Chris a kiss to Chris’ forehead and went out the door, instructing a bodyguard to keep a close eye on Chris. Eddie left the house, getting into his Veneno Roadster.
He reached the venue pretty fast, a bit earlier than supposed too. 1.53 pm, nice . Eddie took a seat at a corner, ordering a black coffee for himself, and a chocolate cappuccino for buck. Soon enough, once the drink came, buck had arrived as well, wearing a pink button down and dark jeans. He looked around the cafe and spotted Eddie, immediately smiling. “Hello!” Buck spoke cheerfully when he reached the table.
“Hi there.” Eddie leaned back in his seat, taking a sip of his coffee. Buck took a sip of his and smiled. “How’d you know my favourite?” Eddie chuckled. “Lucky guess, I guess. The way you talked on the phone made you sound like an extrovert and you seemed like the type to like cappuccino.” Buck laughed. “You're amazing! And I'm guessing.. Yours is black? You seem way too serious.” He guessed, a bit in a teasing way. Eddie laughed. “You're right.” He smirked. Buck smiled proudly. “So buck.. Tell me about yourself,” Eddie asked, taking another sip. “Oh ok well… mm i work as a firefighter actually, i think i should quit tho. It doesn't sound like me, I love my job but I don't know.. It just feels weird without my friends, they were always with me then they quit, i felt lonely and had a bit of fomo so i quit” Buck laughed. “Oh also i really love kids, not in a pedo way don’t worry” laugh “Kids are just so cute especially when they give you those puppy eyes, like oh my god i want kids! They’re so cute!” Eddie smirked. “You know I have a kid of my own? His name is Christopher, he’s turning six in a week,” Buck melted. “Really?? You're so lucky!” Eddie laughed, “yeah he's all i got, i really love him. But hey, if you tell me more about you I'll show you a picture of my kid.” Buck nodded eagerly, his rant is time to begin! “Ok so i really love animals, they're so cute! And i love talking in general honestly, anything that interests me i just spit it out. Sooo I think that's all about me.” Eddie nodded. “You said you wanted to quit your firefighter, right? It's your opinion but i think you should, working alone is gonna get boring and no fun, people have to has at least one or two buddies. So in my opinion you should quit.” Buck nodded understandingly. “Ok i'll think about it!” he smiled. Eddie took out his phone, finding a cute picture of chris. “Here, this is my son.” Buck smiled. “Aw he's adorable,” Eddie chuckled. “You know i have pets too, actually two pets at home, i own a farm outside the city, i go with my son when i have a day off or summer break.” Buck seemed amazed. “Really? Wow you're living the life! What animals do you have at your house??” Eddie took a moment to think. “Hm.. I have a black python, a german shepherd, and a rottweiler. They roam around my house freely.” Bucks jaw dropped. “WHAT!! No way you have those! You're lying!” Eddie smiled. “It's true, but the python usually stays in his cage.” Buck’s mouth was agape. “You're actually living the life!” “I'm just rich.” “That doesn't help!” They had a good laugh.
Eddie and Buck chatted more, having an awesome time together. They knew more about each other, like two people catching up. They talked for hours, forgetting about the world around them, they had so much in common. After talking for a bit longer, they were disrupted by a staff closing the cafe, that's when they realized they were the only ones left. After leaving the cafe, buck smiled, “today was so great! I had such an awesome time with you, eds. U dont mind if i call you eds right?” Eddie never had a nickname, he was always called diaz, don or eddie, never a nickname. He composed himself and smiled. “no..no i don't mind it at all. How about I drive you home?” Buck smiled softly, “um yea that would be nice thanks, the bus is creepy around this time.”
Eddie led Buck to his car, driving him home and making sure he's safe inside before driving off. Once Eddie reached his own house, he parked his car and went in, the guards saluting as Eddie walked by. Before he went to his room, Eddie gave Chris a quick kiss to the forehead since Chris was already fast asleep. Once in his room, Eddie stripped down into his boxers and lying in bed, he was thinking of buck, the way he talked and laughed, could Eddie be more in love? And that goddamn birthmark, Eddie wants to just kiss it the whole day. He smiled to himself. Today was amazing and he wanted more than just a dream..more than a day.. He wanted buck forever and Eddie always gets what he wants. No matter the consequences.
