Tales of Beacon City: Natalia’s Date Night
A Nandroid Fanfic by Bulletz and Scraps the Fool
Author’s Note: This story takes place between “Natalia” and “Natalia’s First Christmas”
[0]
About one year ago, during her service for the Walker household, primarily their neglected children Alex and Timmy, Natalia had done all she could to support the children, even going as far as to acquire a job at Hawthorne Grocery as a clerk to help provide financial support, despite the prejudice of androids working human jobs.
However, it would be during her time working that Natalia would run into a barista by the name of Polina Tarasova, and after several meetings, the two would start to fall in love, something that was unfamiliar territory for the Nandroid which was also seen as taboo by society.
Regardless, things quickly escalated when Natalia discovered that Paul and Alexandra Walker were running an intricate android chop shop operation, which resulted in the kidnapping of their own children and the near destruction of Natalia. Had it not been for Polina, then things would’ve ended badly for everyone. But regardless, Natalia survived, and Paul and Alexandra were arrested.
After the grueling court trial for Paul and Alexandra, who were revealed to be agents of the Anti-Robot Movement (A.R.M) and who would scrap androids illegally and sell their parts on the back market to help fund A.R.M’s projects, was finally over, the court decided to place both Alex and Timmy in custody of Polina, as well as allowing Natalia to serve the family as their Nandroid.
Moreover, while the vast majority of the Walker’s fortune would be subjugated for fines and legal fees, a small slice of the fortune would be given to each of the children, and to their new guardian, as compensation for the struggles they had to endure and to help them build a new life.
It had been a strenuous year for the Tarasova Household, especially for Natalia, the assigned Nandroid of the nowTarasova family. While it has taken an extensive amount of therapy for Alex and Timmy to overcome the trauma of their parent’s actions. The pain was lessened by the love and support of their new guardians, both of whom loved and cared for them just as they loved and cared for one another.
However, as the month of November had just begun, meaning that Christmas was just around the corner, Polina had made a realization about her relationship with Natalia, and decided that she had to make a crucial decision, one that would change both their lives, and the lives of the children in their care, forever.

The house that the Tarasova’s lived in was a small two-story ranch style house that was Blue in color with a grey roof and occupied a stretch of road called “Magnolia Blvd.” along with several other houses. Inside the house, the lower level consisted of a guest bedroom near the door that had its own bathroom and closet.
From the main door was the hallway that led past the stairs, which led up to the children’s rooms and the master bedroom, and into the living room. The living room consisted of a large navy-blue leather couch sitting in front of a glass top wooden table and facing a large screen TV that was mounted on the wall.
Laying on this couch was a 15 year old girl with blond hair tied to a ponytail who was known as Alex Tarasova (formerly known as Alex Walker), the oldest of the two Tarasova children who was currently texting with her friends from school about the ongoing issues regarding ARM’s presence in the UK.
Ever since the arrest and trial of her parents, Alex has become an advocate for android rights, going so far as to declare herself an Alloyist and has been attempting to establish an Android rights club at Hawthorne High school, despite the mass resistance from said school’s administration and student body.
Across from the living room, there was the entrance to the kitchen, which consisted of a large stainless steel fridge with a lower freezer, a stainless steel duel sink, and a counter that was covered with bowls and cooking supplies, as well as stacks of cooking books and other sorts of paperwork.
Standing by the kitchen table, which was made of wood painted white, there was a tall woman with brown bobbed hair and who was wearing a dark purple dress that sparkled in the light. This woman was Polina Tarasova, the guardian of the Alex and Timmy, as well as the girlfriend of Natalia. As she was waiting for Natalia upstairs, Polina looked through her black leather purse for the fifth time to make sure she had everything that she needed.
“Makeup kit…Check! Wallet…Check! Tickets….Check! Pepper spray…Check! *Box*…Double Check!!!” Poliana said to herself as she continued to check her purse for her essentials again before calling out to Alex on the couch. “Alright, so Alex, you remember what you’re supposed to do while we’re out?”
“Yeah! I do know what I’m supposed to do Polina.” Alex replied, continuing to lay on the couch and was texting on her phone. “I not some little kid you know. I can take care of the house just fine; I’ve been doing that for years.”
“I know that…” Polina said, placing her purse around her arm as approached Alex and looked down upon her daughter, crossing her arms while giving her a look of intrigue. “…but how’s about you tell me anyway? Just for kicks and giggles.”
“I’m supposed to put the chicken that’s in the fridge into the oven at 5:45 and let it cook for 45 minutes before taking it back out of the oven. After dinner, Timmy and I are to finish our homework and then be in bed by 9:00.” Alex sighed as she put her phone down and sat up to look at Polina. “If anything happens, we need to call you or leave the house to the Brandywine’s house next door. Come on Polina! You do remember that I’ve taken care of Timmy by myself before, right?”
“I know that Alex, but tonight I just want to make sure everything’s perfect, it’s been a while since Natalia, and I have actually had a date night.” Polina explained to Alex as she walked over to the oven and began to preheat the oven to 350. “Besides, tonight’s a very special night and I’m…well…”
“You’re nervous about it, I get that.” Alex said as she approached Polina and gave her a hug. “But don’t you think that maybe you’re getting this worked up over nothing. I mean, you and Natalia went on plenty of dates before, so what makes this one so special?”
“Well…it’s our anniversary Alex, the anniversary of when I first met Natalia.” Poliana explained sheepishly, embarrassed to be talking about this with a teenager. “Which is why…”
“Oh…OH!!!” Alex said, the realization hitting her like a brick to the face. “So is that the reason why you bo-”
“Shhhh!!!” Polina hushed Alex, hearing the sounds of a pair of feet walking down the stairs and towards the kitchen. The first arriving into the kitchen was a brown haired 10 year old boy named Timmy, who dashed over and hugged Polina. Despite the trauma he endured a year, Timmy managed to handle it well, aside from the occasional nightmares and bedwetting.
“Hey Polina, guess what?” Timmy asked, smiling widely as he looked up at the woman he was hugging. “Natalia’s got a surprise to show you.”
“Oh, does she now?” Polina asked back with a chuckle, ruffling the young boy’s hair affectionately. “Let me guess: Is it something pretty?”
“Why don’t you see for yourself... mi amor?” A voice called out, drawing the attention of Polina, who’s jaw dropped to the floor at the sight before her.
There, standing by the door to the kitchen, was Natalia, only instead of wearing her normal Nandroid attire or her cashier’s uniform, she was wearing a beautiful black dress. Polina couldn’t help but stare at the metallic beauty before her, allowing her eyes to take in each distinct shape and detail, from the shininess of Natalia’s shoulder joints to the warm glowing of her cheeks in response to being gawked at by her girlfriend.
“W-well...What do you think?” Natalia said, flaunting her dress a little. “It’s not too much is it?”
“N-n-n-no! It’s…um...it’s perfect!” Polina stammered as she approached the Nandroid and kissed her on the cheek. “I just…I’ve never seen you in a dress like that before. Where did you get it.”
“I picked it up at the galleria a few months back.” Natalia explained as she looked down on the dress and adjusted the skirt a little. “They don’t have dresses that fit Nandroids, so I had it custom tailored to my size. The hardest part about all of this was to find ways to keep this a surprise from you.”
“Well, a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.” Polina said as she kissed Natalia again, the Nandroid giggled as she wrapped her arms around the woman in front of her, as they gazed into each other’s eyes, they suddenly were interrupted by the sound of a teenage girl clearing her throat. Both Natalia and Polina then turned to see Alex and Timmy standing next to them, Alex had an eyebrow raised while Timmy had a large cheeky grin on his face.
“Hey, sorry for interrupting you two love birds, but aren’t you going to a movie tonight?” Alex asked teasingly. “I mean, unless there was something specific that you wanted-”
“OKAY! WE’RE OFF!!!” Polina shouted as she grabbed a pair of jackets hanging on the coat rack by the door and pulled Natalia out of the house and into their car. As they pulled out the driveway, Natalia could see Alex and Timmy waving from the door, waving back as the car sped off down the road.
“Good luck Polina…” Alex said under her breath as she stopped waving and took Timmy back inside the house. “You’re gonna need it.”

Each year, Hawthorne Grove’s Department of Parks, and Recreation, in collaboration with the Beacon City Historical Society, develops a fundraiser to help provide additional resources for the local schools in the Newburgh area, such as books and new computers.
This year’s fundraiser was centered around a “Movie in the Park” event, in which donors could come to the park, pay for admission, and then they would be able to watch a feature-length movie while having a picnic at night. The event even came with a food stand to purchase a meal while you watch the film.
As Polina and Natalia pulled into the driveway of the park, Polina could see already dozens of cars parked around her and even more people flocking to the center of the park, where a large movie screen had been assembled in one of the open fields of said park.
“Oooh! This is so exciting Polina! I’ve never been to a “movie in the park” before!” Natalia said, her cheeks glowed brightly as she latched onto Polina’s arm and kissed her on the cheek. “This is gonna be so much fun! Thank you mi amor!”
“Y-yeah! I can’t wait!” Polina said nervously, taking the picnic supplies from the back of the car while looking around to see the people looking at them with glares of disgust as they passed by. “I think…I think over there’s where we get our tickets.”
Natalia and Polina approached a tall booth that was made of cheap plywood painted maroon with goldenrod stripes and had words made of plywood and panted dark green that read “PURCASE TICKETS HERE!” nailed to the top of the booth. Inside the booth, there was a Jane android who was in charge of tickets. As Natalia and Polina approached the android, her eyes glowed and she waved her hand.
“Welcome, are you here to purchase a ticket?” The Jane asked the couple. “That will be $10 per person.”
“Sure, I’ll take two tickets please.” Polina said as she pulled out her wallet and handed The Jane a $20 bill, the android looked at the bill and then gave Polina back one ticket and a $10 bill. “Hey, I said *two* tickets! What gives?”
“I apologize Ma’am, but I am obligated to only sell tickets to humans only.” The Jane explained as she pointed to the movie stage. “You can seat yourself anywhere near the movie screen. There is a food stand to purchase food and beverages. Thank you for your contribution and enjoy the show!”
Right as they were about to leave, Polina looked at the $10 in her hand and placed it in the booth for The Jane, who looked at the money with confusion.
“Keep the change!” Polina said with a huff as she stormed off with Natalia, who was confused yet slightly aroused by the sudden display of assertiveness.
[0]
As the movie started, showing an old man talking to his grandson in his bed, Polina had finished setting up their picnic spot, which consisted of a red and black plaid blanket, several covers, and a silver padded folding loveseat. Natalia sat down on the loveseat next to Polina and giggled excitedly, snuggling next to her as she wrapped the covers around the two of them. Polina smiled back at Natalia, wrapping her arm around her and kissing her on the head.
Polina then heard a scoff and turned to see two men sitting on their own loveseat next to her and Natalia. The man was a giant, bald yet had a five o’clock shadow, while the smaller man next to him was thinner, had short dark hair and glasses.
The bigger man shook his head in disapproval towards Polina before turning back to watch the movie, wrapping his large arm around the smaller man. As Polina turned to watch the movie, she began to feel a strange sensation of worry, clutching her purse tight to her side as she used her other hand to hold Natalia tighter.
“Farm Boy. Fill these with water...” Buttercup dictated to Wesley hesitantly, before adding a magic word to the end of her command. “…Please.”
“As you wish.” Wesley said quietly to Buttercup.
As Buttercup left, Wesley’s eyes continued to stay upon her, Watching as Buttercup stopped to turn to look back to him, only for Wesley to look away, now with Buttercup’s eyes watching him.
“That day, she was amazed to discover that when he was saying, "As you wish," what he meant was, "I love you."
Polina looked over to Natalia, her eyes were fixated on each word of the movie, each scene before her. Romance, that was her weakness in movies, the enjoyment of seeing two people ignite their passion and embrace their love.
The sight of Natalia’s smile and feeling the warmth of her body helped Polina relax a bit, however, she still felt somewhat nervous.
“Polina…is everything okay?” Natalia asked, turning to Polina a bit worried. “You seem…agitated about something. Are you feeling okay?”
“I’m fine Natalia, really.” Poliana said, taking a deep breath as she looked around for a bit. “It’s just…have you noticed how the people here are…you know…”
“…Judging us?” Natalia responded to Polina question; the response felt like a punch to Polina’s gut.
“Well, I was just going to say, “watching us”.” Polina said to the Nandroid, who raised an eyebrow at her girlfriend. “Doesn’t that make you feel…uncomfortable?”
“Well…it does a little bit.” Natalia said honestly. “I mean, it’s one thing if it’s just one person, but this time’s it’s a lot of people, but yet, it doesn't bother you, the way people see us and…disapprove?”
“No…it doesn't bother me that much.” Natalia responded, fidgeting slightly under the covers. “I mean, it does from time to time, but I always thought you didn’t mind.”
Polina felt guilty about what she said, feeling that she spoiled the date with doubt. She could see Natalia deflating beside her, the warmth slowly fading away. Polina then looked to see the large man again staring at her, his eyes squinting at her in disgust.
At that point, Polina felt a fire building inside her as she looked at the movie for a moment, just in time to see a man with a thick Spanish accent lecturing another man who wore black pirate clothing, the Spanish man’s words suddenly inspiring her.
“I was eleven years old. When I was strong enough, I dedicated my life to the study of fencing. So, the next time we meet, I will not fail.”
“I will go up to the six fingered man and say:”
"Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
“M-maybe we should we just go…Polina…” Natalia said solemnly, feeling dejected as she reached down to start packing “…I don’t want you…to…”
As Natalia looked back up to Polina, only to trail off as she watched her girlfriend storming off towards the large man, whose eyes widened in surprise as Polina approached him.
“Hello! My name is Polina Tarasova.” Polina greeting the large man, who shrink in his seat as Polina towered over him. “Care to explain why you keep staring at me and my *girlfriend*? Yes, you heard me right.*”
The man shook his head meekly, the thin man next to him followed suite.
“No? You don’t want to explain? Does that mean you’ll actually watch the movie, right?” Polina asked with gritted teeth as she raised a fist towards him. “Cause if I see *YOU*, or *ANYONE* *ELSE*, looking at *ME* and my *GIRLFRIEND* with distain, then we’re gonna have a problem! Okay? Okay! Thanks for the talk, and please, enjoy the movie.”
As Polina looked up from the man below her, she could see the other movie watchers quickly turn their heads towards the screen, having gotten the message clearly.
Polina then let out a huff in satisfaction as she walked back over to her loveseat and sat down next to Natalia, who was awestruck at what she had just witnessed, her cheeks glowing brightly at what she had just seen.
“I’m sorry Natalia, I was a little distracted by a little pest.” Polina said, looking over to see the big man crying as the smaller man consoled him. “So, what were you saying?”
Natalia, the cold sting dejection she was feeling was now replaced by the hot fire of pasión as she wrapped herself around Polina again, this time with her girlfriend embracing her by adding an enthusiastic kiss.
“¡Amor mío, las palabras no pueden describir lo caliente que estoy por ti ahora mismo!” Natalia said as she rested her head on Polina’s neck.
“I have no idea what you said to me…Polina said as he looked towards the movie screen, smiling as the worry she was feeling was washed away. “…but judging by the warmth I’m feeling from you right now, I think I’ve just done something right. Haven’t I?”
Natalia giggled as she kissed Polina, and they looked back towards the movie.
“You mocked me once, never do it again! I died that day!” Buttercup hissed at the man in black, who was distracted for a moment, before shoving him down a steep hill into the fields below. “You can die too, for all I care!!”
“As ... you ... wish!!!” The man in black shouted as he tumbled and rolled down the steep hill, his words revealing to Buttercup his true identity.
“Oh, my sweet Westley; what have I done?!” Buttercup exclaimed in horror as she went after her beloved, rolling and tumbling down the steep hill the same as he was.
[0]
…in utter despair Inigo collapsed against a tree, specifically *the* knot in the tree that slid away and revealed the secret staircase. Fezzik and Inigo look at each other before walking down to find Westley, who was moments ago was killed by Rugen’s Machine.
Fezzik leaned over Westley’s chest to listen for a heartbeat, only to then look at Inigo and shook his head, causing Inigo to fear the worst had come.
“He's dead.” Fezzik said solemnly.
“It just is not fair…” Inigo muttered, barely able to speak as he sagged down in despair.
[INTERMISSION!]
“Okay! It seems that the movie’s having an intermission for about half an hour.” Polina explained, confused as to why there would even be an intermission for a 90 minute movie, to Natalia, who was worried about the fate of Westley and Buttercup. “I’m going to go get a burger from that food stand the Jane mentioned, do you want anything?”
Natalia snapped out of her state of worry for a moment and pondered Polina’s question. She had recently opted for an upgrade from Sterling last week to have a biomass converter and taste sensors installed and as such she was still learning about the concepts of food and taste.
“I’ll have the same as you, I guess, unless you see something else that I’d like.” Natalia said with a smile as she bundled herself up in the covers, her cheeks glowing as she grinned at Polina. “Just hurry back before the movie starts up again. Oh, and please make sure to not pick any fights for my honor while you’re gone, mi amor.”
Polina chuckled sheepishly as she went over to the food booth, clutching her purse tightly in her hands.
[0]
The food booth was a large building made of cement and bricks that stood nearby the area where the movie was set up. During dedicated events arranged by the government of local community groups, this building could be used to serve food to customers or guests.
As Polina approached the booth, she could see several customers standing by the booth waiting for their orders. One of them was a middle-age Hispanic woman wearing a cheap blue hoodie over a tank top and black stretch pants who was buried in her phone. The other was a young Caucasian man with dirty blonde hair and a beard who was wearing a leather bomber jacket and jeans who was people watching from nearby the booth.
As Polina approached the booth, she was greeted by an elderly African American man who was bald and was wearing a white t-shirt and black slacks under a navy-green cook’s apron. He also had one of those cheap square shaped hats that people who would serve hamburgers in the 1950’s would wear.
As Polina made her order (which consisted of two burgers with one order of fries and two cokes) stood back to wait, she looked at the number on her receipt “211” before she watched as the man in the counter pull out an order of food on a large paper plate and call out the number “209”. The Hispanic woman then walked over to pick up the food (An order of chili fries and a sweet tea), complaining about the service and quality, and then stormed off in a huff.
“Sheesh, some people…” The man in the bomber jacket said to Poliana. “I mean, what ever happened to common decency, huh?”
“I have no idea.” Polina said to the man, nodding in agreement while clutching her purse close to her. “It’s hard to find decent open-minded people now a days, what’s wrong with people?”
“Well, you seem to be handling yourself well, if you don’t mine me prying.” The man said as he turned to look at Polina. “I mean, that spectacle a moment ago, with you declaring your love for that Nandroid of yours was absolute cinema in my opinion.”
“Oh…um…well…” Polina stammered, embarrassed about what had happened earlier before she realized something. “Wait a moment! You actually approved that? I mean, my love for Natalia. who’s a Nandroid.”
“Natalia…that’s a nice name.” The man said as he rubbed his beard with his hand. “But yes, I don’t mind. You two seem like a nice couple.”
“Well, to be honest, we’ve been through a lot the past year…” Polina explained, describing to the man the situation with the Walker’s and Natalia’s near death experience, all the while the man just stood there, listening to her, his hazel eyes reading a level of understanding.
“…so, I don’t know why, but I’ve been on edge since we got here, hence my outburst.” Polina explained, glancing over at Natalia, who was still sitting on the loveseat waiting for Polina. “Hell, I don’t even know why I’m telling you all of this. It must be annoying to hear this kind of drama from a stranger.”
“Not at all…” The man said with a warm smile. “I understand how scary it must be, to take that next leap into a relationship, and to worry about the future. But I was once told a piece of advice that helped put all that doubt and anxiety to rest, and now I think I’ll tell you the same thing…”
As Polina nodded in understanding, the man placed his hands upon Polina’s shoulders and looked her straight in the eyes, his smile warm and accepting.
“…All you need to do is to put down the armor around your heart. Do just that for her, and the rest will follow naturally.”
Polina’s eyes widened as she realized what the man was talking about. She then smiled as she turned away for a moment and wiped tears from her eyes. As she did, she looked up to see Natalia approaching her, a look of concern on her face.
“Polina, are you okay? I came to check up on you with the food and…” Natalia said as she placed her arms around her girlfriend’s shoulders, looking at her with worry before glaring at the man Polina was talking to and marching up towards him. “What do you think you’re doing eres un cabrón testarudo con cara de cerdo? Didn’t you hear mi amor’s speech earlier, or do I need to provide you a little reminder? ¡Perro sin cerebro!”
“Hold on Natalia, it’s okay!” Poliana reassured the annoyed Natalia, pulling her girlfriend away from the man who had worried smile was on his face and his hands raised defensively. “This man’s quite open-minded, and he was just giving me some really good advice, I swear.”
Natalia, looked to the man and then to Polina, who smiled reassuringly at the Nandroid. Natalia then backed away, and gave the man a worried bow, embarrassed for losing her temper just now.
“I’m so sorry for losing my temper just now.” Natalia apologized to the man, all the while Polina patted her on the back for support. “My girlfriend had defended my honor, and now I was trying to return the favor.”
“N-no worries there, I understand the intention and believe me, it’s all water under the bridge.” The man said, giving a brief sigh of relief as he heard the man behind the counter call out the “212”. The man then rushed over and picked up his food (which consisted of two cheeseburgers, two order of fries, a coke, and an iced tea), turning around to look to the happy couple behind him. “Well, I gotta get this food back to my spot before the movie starts back up. It’s been nice talking to you, Ms.…”
“Oh! I’m so sorry! How could I forget?” Polina said awkwardly as she gestured to Natalia and herself. “I’m Polina Tarasova, and this is my girlfriend, Natalia.”
“Raymond Stemley!” Raymond said with a smile and slight bow, unable to shake hands as he was holding the food with both of them. “Well, I hope you have a wonderful evening, the both of you.”
Just as Raymond vanished into the crowd of people, Polina saw her order come up and she and Natalia took their food back to their spot. As Polina sat down and began to eat her burger, she looked to see Natalia hesitantly take a bite of her own burger, the Nandroid’s eyes lighting up and cheeks glowing brightly as she embraced the delicious flavor and mouthfeel of the meat and cheese in her mouth.
“¡Oh! ¡Qué delicioso!” Natalia exclaimed as she took another bite and then turned towards Polina, her smile was stained with ketchup as she pointed to the burger. “This is the best thing I’ve ever tasted! Thank you for this great meal, Mi Amor!”
“You’re welcome Natalia.” Polina chucked as she took a napkin and proceeded to wipe the ketchup from Natalia’s face, like she would for a child. “But please, try to eat a bit slower, this is still new for you, and I don’t want you to overwhelm yourself.”
“Of course!” Natalia said as she looked at her fries and proceeded to eat one, her eyes lit up again as she began to devour them, ensuring no potato stick would survive to tell the tale.
As Polina chuckled, she and Natalia’s attention were drawn back to the screen to see that the movie was starting up again.

“Hello…My name is Inigo Montoya; you killed my father; prepare to die.”
These were the words that Inigo exclaimed as he stood up, pulling the dagger from his abdomen as he picked up his sword and held it towards his opponent, The Count with six fingers on his left hand. With each deflection of The Count’s attacks, Inigo would say the same thing again.
“Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father; prepare to die.”
As Natalia watched with much anticipation, as Inigo pushed back against The Count, she smiled as she looked to her purse and, making sure that Natalia was still watching the screen, she opened her purse and pulled out a small box, which was black in color and had felt texture on the surface of it.
Polina opened the box slightly to peek at the contents inside before closing the box and putting it into her pocket. Polina then smiled as she turned back to the movie, watching Inigo as he clashed swords with The Count, again repeating the same line as before.
“Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father; prepare to die!”
“Stop saying that!” The count shouted as he swung his sword down on Inigo, only for the Spaniard to parry the attack and stabbing him in the shoulder. The Count then swung a second time, only for Inigo to doge the attack and stab The Count in the other shoulder.
“Hello!!! My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father; prepare to die!!!” Inigo shouted as he clashed swords with The Count, backing his enemy up against a large table and ready to fulfill the destiny he had waited his whole life for.
As for Polina, she was about to do the same in a brief moment.
“Offer me anything I ask for!” Inigo demanded from The Count, aiming his sword toward the cut face of the count.
“Anything you want!” The Count responded, trying to swing away Inigo’s sword and strike him, only for Inigo to stab him in the stomach and whisper one final demand to his enemy.
“I want my father back you son of a bitch!”

“But it did. I was there. This old man said, "Man and wife."” Buttercup explained sweetly as she laid in the embrace of the still weak Westley.”
“Did you say, "I do"?” Asked Westley.
“Well, no, we sort of skipped that part.” Replied Buttercup.
“Then you're not married, if you didn't say it, you didn't do it…” Westly explained to Buttercup, his eyes not looking away from Her’s. “…wouldn't you agree, Your Highness?”
As Buttercup and Westley looked to see Lord Humperdinck standing in the doorway of the bedroom.
“Polina! It’s Lord Humperdinck! But how’s Westley going to fight back when he can barely move.” Natalia asked Polina, only to turn towards Poliana when she didn’t answer. “Polina…?”
As Natalia turned to see Polina, she could see that Polina was kneeling on the ground next to Natalia, who looked down at her girlfriend with confusion by the strange behavior. Natalia could also see that Polina was looking rather nervous, just as she did before.
“Polina, what’s wrong?” Natalia asked, looking around to see if someone was staring as they did before, she then looked back down to Polina. “Was it…was it something I did?”
“Yes…it is something you do…” Polina said to Natalia, who’s eyes expressed confusion and dejection at the words, before reaching into her pocket to pull out the small black box and hold it up to the Nandroid, who’s eyes widened with shock at the sight of it. “…something that you’ve always done since I first met you.”
“P-P-P-P- Polina!!! What are you d-d-doing?” Natalia stammered, she didn’t know what Polina was doing, yet she felt a strange cocktail of emotions building up inside her. “I…is…that…?”
“Natalia, when I’m with you, you make me feel like I can overcome anything and be someone better than before.” Polina said, smiling warmly as she looked up into the eyes of the Nandroid before her. “I know that we’ve become great partners, not just with running our grocery store, but also with raising Alex and Timmy, our family.”
“P- Polina…” Natalia stammered again, fidgeting nervously as she began to realize what was finally happening, her eyes welling up with coolant tears. “I…ye…wai...oh…”
“But there’s still one more problem we have to deal with first...” Polina added as she used her free hand to grab the top of the box and open it. “…and that is to make “our family official.”
Natalia placed her hands over her mouth as she looked at the black box in Polina’s hands, which was now open and had a small Amethyst ring inside. Polina then pulled the ring out of the box and held it up to Natalia.
“Natalia, mi amore….” Polina asked, tears welling up in her own eyes as she heeded Raymond’s advice and took the plunge.
“Will you marry me?”
There was a brief silence from Natalia, who had become so overwhelmed by what was happening that she couldn’t speak. As Polina looked to Natalia, worried that it was too soon or too…much, she then heard a clicking noise coming from Natalia, watching as a small strip of receipt paper emerge from the Nandroid’s mouth.
Natalia then ripped the paper from her mouth and with a tearful smile, held it up to Polina, who smiled as she saw what was written on the paper. Amongst a barrage of grease and ketchup stains, there was an array of lines that were arranged together to form a large “YES!!!”
Polina then laughed, tears running down her cheeks as she took Natalia’s hand and placed the ring onto her finger before standing up and kissing her now-fiancée. As Polina sat back down on the loveseat and kissed Natalia, the Nandroid kissed her back, and the two of them embraced one another as they turned back to watch Westley explain the concept of “to the pain” to Lord Humperdinck.
“Wrong! Your ears you keep, and I'll tell you why: So that every shriek of every child at seeing your hideousness will be yours to cherish. Every babe that weeps at your approach, every woman who cries out, "Dear God, what is that thing?" will echo in your perfect ears. That is what "to the pain" means. It means I leave you in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery forever.”
“I think you're bluffing!” Lord Humperdinck said, trying his best to hide his growing fear from his enemy.
“It's possible, pig, I might be bluffing. it's conceivable, you miserable vomitous mass, that I'm only lying here because I lack the strength to stand.” Westley said to Lord Humperdinck, his body immobile, but his face and confidence stronger than ever. “Then again, perhaps I have the strength after all.”
With that, Westley slowly and surly stood up from the bed. Lord Humperdinck watching in shock and horror as his enemy was now standing before him. Westly then used all the strength he could muster to aim his blade at the lord, who watched all of this with an overwhelming sensation of terror and awe.
“*DROP!* *YOUR!* *SWORD!*” Commanded Westly to Lord Humperdinck, who proceeded to disarm himself without a moment’s hesitation, his face drained of blood.
“Have a seat!” Westly then ordered Lord Humperdinck with a gesture of his blade. Lord Humperdinck then quickly rushed over to a nearby chair and sat down without a moment’s hesitation, his testicles sucked deep into his body.

9:37 PM
It was late when Natalia and Polina returned to the house. As Polina stepped out of the car and opened the passenger side door to help Natalia out, the Nandroid greeted her fiancée with a kiss on the lips, surprising Polina who kissed her back.
“Hey there! Save it for the wedding.” Polina laughed as she wrapped her arm around Natalia, who snuggled herself in Polina’s embrace as they both walked to the front door.
“I’m sorry mi amore, but this has been the best date night I’ve ever had.” Natalia said as her cheeks glowed with joy.
“Don’t you mean The best date night *so far*?” Polina asked as she unlocked the front door and opened it. Natalia laughed and kissed Polina as they both stepped into the house.

As they removed their coats and entered the living room, Natalia and Polina saw Alex and Timmy in the living room. Alex was asleep on the couch, her phone laying on her chest. While Timmy was asleep on a small blanket on the floor, the remote to the TV to his left and a half-eaten bowl of popcorn to his right.
As Polina knelt down to Timmy, she smiled and chuckled softly as she took the remote from the boy’s hand, who was still snoring. She then picked up Timmy and held him in his arms, the boy wrapping his arms around her neck as he nuzzled his face onto the side of said neck.
“Polina!” Natalia exclaimed softly, so as to not wake anyone up.
Polina looked up to see Natalia peeking from the kitchen, gesturing for Polina to come to her. Polina then placed Timmy on the couch next to Alex before walking into the kitchen.
As Polina entered the kitchen, her eyes widened as the sight before her. The kitchen was spick and span, the chicken has been clearly cooked and eaten, but the dishware used to hold it was already cleaned and put away.
However, this was not what caught Polina’s attention. Rather, it was the cake sitting on the kitchen table. The cake was a chocolate cake with purple frosting, and it had been decorated with a crude picture on the top of it depicting Natalia and Polina’s faces inside a heart.
As Natalia put her hands over her mouth, fresh tears running down her face. Polina noticed the card sitting on the table in front of the cake. Polina then picked up the card and she and Natalia read it together.
The card was made with construction paper and was clearly made by both Alex and Timmy. Timmey had drawn a series of race cars for the border of the card while Alex wrote the outside text that read “Congratulations!” in cursive as well as the inside text that read.
We just wanted to say congratulations and Happy Anniversary to the best Moms ever!
Thank you for being there for us in our lives and for loving us as much as you love each other.
Love always,
Alex Tarasova and Timmy Tarasova
(aka your children)
Both Polina and Natalia were doing their best to sob as quietly as they could so as to not wake the children. As they collected themselves. Polina wiped the tears from her eyes as she and Natalia kissed again.
“Mi amore! Thank you for giving me everything I could ever want.” Natalia whispered as she looked into the eyes of her fiancée and kissed her. “I don’t know how this night could be even better.”
“Hmmm…I can think of some ways…” Polina said in a sultry tone as she kissed Natalia back. “Just let me put the kids to bed and then you’ll see what I mean.”
As Polina broke away from Natalia’s embrace, she quietly crept towards the living room to put the children to bed. As she reached the entrance to the kitchen she looked back to Natalia, seeing the hesitation in the Nandroid’s eyes.
“What’s wrong Natalia?” Polina asked, worried that something *was* wrong.
“Well…it’s just…they did happen to call us both “Mom” after all.” Natalia said, looking at Polina with a bashful smile and she held up her hand and brandishing the ring on her finger. “Maybe we can wake them up first and tell them our good news? We could even have the cake they made to celebrate. What do you say, mi amore?”
Polina paused for a moment, basking in the sight of Natalia standing there a warm smile upon her face, her cheeks glowing like a rose, and her hands before her, fidgeting with the engagement ring on her finger. Right then and there, Polina gave a small sigh as she looked at Natalia with a warm and love-filled smile before she gave her answer with three small words.
“As you wish!”
