Peanuts and Crackerjacks
Summary
Softball AU!!!!! Because they are the away team, the Trenchers are the first up to bat. Caitlyn puts on her game face, when a new face appears, one with pink hair sticking out of her helmet, and Muscles out of this world protruding from her shirt. Tattoos on her neck and arms poke through, and a small 6 in Roman numerals under her eye. She also has a killer butt that is out of this world and feels illegal.Caitlyn is distracted, to say the least, and when Jayce snaps her out of it, she throws the ball and hears a clack from the mysterious hot girl’s bat. Caitlyn watches the ball fly over the fence, and facepalms, she can’t be distracted, not like this.
Note
Hey!I am new at this, but I have been reading since the dawn of time, lol. Updates every week hopefully, or as much as I can bear with being a double major in college, but who knows! Slow burn obviously because why not, and the chapters will get longer I promise. Without further ado, here are your lesbians! If it is horse poop, I blame the lack of sleep, grammar is not my thing.

Catwalk

Caitlyn does not know what came over her. But she’s in the thick of it now, and Vi felt so nice when she was pressed up against her, callused hands searching her clothed body. She ends up with the back of the chainlink fence, with Vi kissing that sweet spot behind her ear that makes her legs give out. Vi supports her while she is still kissing her neck.

All of a sudden, she snaps back into place and realizes exactly what she is doing, Vi whispers in her ear, “You taste sweet, like a cupcake,” and that’s enough to push Vi off of her.

Caitlyn doesn't know what comes over her, but she tackles Vi onto the ground and takes off her shirt, throwing it in the red dirt, and she kisses down her Abs, she can feel Vi’s warmth on her chest and she stops.

“What the hell are we doing?’ Caitlyn asks.

“I have no idea, I came in here trying to get answers, and you kissed me? So I think the real question is what are you doing?” Vi asks.

Not wanting to reveal anything to this attractive stranger, she says, “Well, you started it by winking at me!”

“w-what does that have to do with anything?” Vi pries.

“My mother is dead!” Caitlyn unknowingly shouts.

She doesn’t know why she told Vi that, it’s irrelevant to her, but maybe telling a stranger, and a hot one at that, will give her some sense of fucked up closure that she needs. Plus, it’s really hard to focus when she has no shirt on.

“I-I’m sorry? My condolences, I guess?” Vi replies.

Caitlyn stands up and leaves Vi on the ground.

She texts Vi later that night.

………………………………….
Vi is lying on the ground, with no shirt on, red clay on her white pants, and she’s all hot and bothered.
Why did Caitlyn tell her that her mom was dead? How long ago did it happen? Why is she lying on the ground? Why the fuck does she have a black eye?

Vi doesn't know the answer to any of those questions, so she walks home because Vander and the rest of them took the car.

When she finally gets home, Vander is sitting at the table and tells Vi to sit down with him. He tells her that Grayson texted him and told him that Caitlyn Kirimman’s lash-out was due to her mother passing away three days ago due to a car accident, and she hadn’t practiced before their game.

Kirimman-Kirimman_Kirimman, why does that name sound so familiar? Vi remembers, Cassandra Kiriman, the corrupt politician who kept her in prison for 7 years for a crime that she did not commit.

Was Casandra Caitlyn’s mother? Was she the one who passed away? She hopes not.

Vander interrupts her thought spiral by saying that they are going to play the Blidgewater Pirates in a week, and Vi is thankfully distracted.

“The fuck you need my soap for”

Vi is standing in the prison showers, fresh meat for these prisoners to feast on.

Some big burley dude says, “I need it so I can shove it down your throat for talkin’ back to me like that-”

He doesn't get to finish his sentence before Vi clocks him hard in the jaw. 2 weeks in solitary is better than having to wake up to see his ugly mug.

She got arrested for a crime that she did not commit; she would not let Pow take the fall, and she took the blame for the explosion in Piltover Propper. Powder is too young to go to prison, so it is up to Vi to take the fall because that’s what good sisters do, right?

Punching things is the only thing she can do to survive this hell, so that’s exactly what she does. She would love to punch that Kirimmans face that put her in here, but according to Vander, it’ll only give Vi more time, even though it was her place that Pow-Vi blew up. But who has three vacation homes? That’s just unnecessary and wrong; you can survive with one less.
The only thing getting her through prison is Powder, she needs her.

The Kirimman name has stained her reputation for everything that she could have been, but it’s not entirely their fault. Vi can’t help it. Once a Piltie, always a Piltie.

Vi leaves her on read.

When it is game time, Vi goes up to bat when a familiar face comes into view.

Sarah fucking Fortune

She smirks, and Vi can’t help but wink at her, she hits a home run and doesn't stop making eye contact after the game.

After they won 10-7 in favor of the Trenchers, Vi finally responds to Sara’s Direct Message, and just like that, they have a date in 1 hour.
………………………………….
Caitlyn had just left her mother’s funeral. They played the Noxus wolves today, but she had to sit this one out to ‘grieve properly,’ according to Grayson. She kept refreshing the page to see if Vi had ever texted her back.

She didn’t.

Maddie walks up to her, and she can read her like a book, but she ends up taking her home anyway because she needs the distraction.
________________________________________________________________________________________________
Maddie and Caitlyn had a wonderful relationship, but it ended poorly when she caught her in their shared bed with no one other than Mel’s mother.

Ambessa, the Coach of The Noxus Wolves, had been a thorn in Caitlyn’s side, to say the least. She not only had tried to bring the Piltover team down, but she was infiltrating from the inside.
She was using Maddie like a puppet, and Maddie bent to her every will just to spite the team that she was still on. Not only that, but she ruined a 3-year relationship. But none of that matters right now. At this moment, Caitlyn needs a distraction, and what better than an Ex to give that to you?

After about 30 minutes of making out and not going anywhere, Caitlyn gets a phone call from no one other than Jayce, so she answers, thanking the Gods for the interruption.

The first thing that Jayce says is “Have you texted Vi?”

Caitlyn responded with, “Yes, but after I told her who I was, she didn’t respond”

Jayce quips back “Ok so tell me why she is currently at the bar with Sarah Fortune?”

Caitlyn doesn't respond, it hurts, but Vi is a grown woman, so what good could she do? They only kissed once. It could have led to more if Caitlyn hadn’t backed out, so it’s her fault, not Vi’s. Maybe that’s why she didn’t respond.

Caitlyn goes to her living room and plops down on her green couch, defeated. She has a cozy living room filled with plants and cute little trinkets that she has collected over the years. She eventually hands up without saying anything back to Jayce.

Maddie is still in her room so she has to deal with her later if she didn’t catch the hint already.

Maddie eventually leaves five minutes later, and Caitlyn is on the brink of tears, she sits there in silence for 2 more hours.
Then, she gets a phone call.

………………………………….

Vi is having fun, or as much fun as she could have, on a date with a gorgeous woman, nursing an ice-cold beer, what could be better than this? There’s just one issue, Caitlyn Kirimman.

She can only think about Caitlyn and how her lips felt on hers. It felt so natural, so right. But she’s a Kirimman and a Piltie at that! So when Sarah kisses her, she welcomes it, even if it tastes like Tequila.

She doesn't leave with Sarah; they make out for a bit, and then Vi comes up with a lie that she has to take Powder’s cat out for a walk. Number one, Powder doesn't have a cat, and number two, who takes a cat out for a walk?

She leaves on her motorcycle and pulls up to her shared apartment, she has to move out soon if she wants to get any play at all.

She kicks off her shoes, says hi to Mylo who sitting on the couch playing some stupid video game, and walks up to an empty room with a note on the Powder bed that reads:

Off with Ekko, don’t boingaloing on my bed, or I will find you and hunt you down,
much love,
POW
Vi chuckles and plops into her bed.

She has Caitlyn’s messages open, and she stares at them for a solid minute before she calls her. It rings, and rings, and rings, and on the 7th or 8th ring, a shaky voice answers.

“H-Hello”
“Can we Talk?” Vi asks
“Well, hello to you too,” Caitlyn chides
“Is Casandra Kirimman your mom?” Vi asks
Silence.
And then someone hangs up.
Vi doesn't know who.

And then a response
(---)-------
Why are you asking stupid questions that can be answered by one simple Google search?

*Vi*
Because I want to get to know you and not off some stupid website? Sorry if that is too much.
Vi’s phone is buzzing once more, she answers on the third ring.

“How much would you like to know?”

“As much as you will tell me,” Vi asks

“Well, let us start with my Childhood, shall we?” Caitlyn answers.
………………………………….
Caitlyn tells Vi as much as she is willing to share, and then some, she tells Vi about the explosion at her third home that Vi is eerily silent at, especially when she calls it a ‘stupid house that had it coming anyway.’ She tells her how she was ostracized by her mother for wanting to play softball and that her mother is, in fact, Cassandra Kirimman.

Vi quips back, “Well, I guess we have both been wronged by a certain Cassandra Kirimman, haven’t we.”

Caitlyn goes silent.

Is That why she wanted to know who my mother was because she has been wronged by her in the past? Did she do something to deserve her wrath? Oh- Oh no. The explosion of that stupid house, the girl that was wrongly imprisoned that was Vi, my mother was going to sell the house anyway, Caitlyn was already looking for ways to fix this before she even noticed.

“You’re the one that caused the explosion?” Caitlyn asked.

“Bingo, spot on” Vi Answered.

“I-I have to go take my um… cat out for a walk?” Caitlyn said.

“If you have to go just say that you have to go Cupcake, it is easy.” Vi Chides.

Silence.

“Why did you do it?” Caitlyn whispers.
“It wasn’t me, ya know, but that’s another conversation,” Vi says

“My mother was about to sell it, so it doesn't matter anyway” Caitlyn whispers again.

She doesn't get a response.

Vi hangs up this time.

Caitlyn fears that she made things worse, but she doesn't know how.
