"I hate you!"
Silence filled the air; the tone she used was different. There was something about it that told you she wasn't lying. She really meant what she said.
The girl stood there; she was utterly stunned. She didn't expect her to say that to her. It hurt. It hurt so much more than she thought it would. It felt as if her insides were shrinking. They were being squeezed, and it was as if she couldn't even think on the most basic level where she forgot how to breathe. How to move... how to think.. She wasn't able to process it yet. It slowly spread throughout her whole body as the initial bullet was settling into her flesh. That black she had been trying to ignore and escape for so long broke out and she wasn't able to suppress it any longer. It flowed through her blood stream like a plague.
The person was angry she was hurt as well. She was only just calming down and realizing her words and tone. She suddenly felt so bad. She felt like she wanted to cry. There she went and did it again. Pushing people away so much that she can't even control it anymore and it's a built in instinct. She wants to apologize, to go up to the girl and hug her. Tell her she didn't mean it that it was a mistake. But she doesn't even know how to process this either. Which leaves her stuck in her motionless stance. She can see the hurt on her face. The face that usually never shows damage is so thoroughly destroyed in front of her and she can't do anything about it.
The girl broke. The tear came suddenly and woke her from shock. She didn't have enough time to be able to stop them, realize they're there. She didn't want to either... She wanted to show her emotion because at that point she didn't even have the energy to put on an act. She cried. No, the tears fell from her eyes, heavier than ever before in the past and a lot more than she had, had in years. The genuine expression of destruction on her face couldn't have been acted so realistically. She began to tremble slightly. Her breath shook as it was forced from her neck because the oxygen had dried up in her lungs. The tears just kept flowing but she couldn't move she couldn't think. All she could do was feel. Feel the pain and sadness that flooded her entire body.
Seeing this the person felt a sharp sting in her chest. Watching it all fall to ruin. She tries to speak up but her voice chocks and she hesitates. She stands there a moment the silence ringing in her ear broken by the sudden soft sobs and shaky breath from the girl. She steps forward and begins to reach out for the girl but then she starts to speak.
"I'm sorry..."
