Chapter 1
I walked the halls to his next class. I had math next. I sighed as I walked the crowded halls, bumping into people by accident. Once I got to my class, my new teacher saw him.
"Hello there, you must be my new student, correct?" "Yes, that's right, " I replied. "You can go sit next to Leroy, he's right over there."
He pointed to a short kid with brown hair. I went to go sit down next to him. "Are you a new student?" He asked almost immediately. "Yeah..."
"I'm Leroy, and this is my friend Adrian. " He gave an awkward smile and waved, "Hey"
The class went by normally, we did some math work, there was a pop quiz, blah blah blah. But in the middle of class, Adrian dropped his pencil. I went to grab it to help him, but he also reached for it and our hands touched. "Ah- sorry, " I apologized. "It's fine, I don't care. " his voice was quiet, almost as if he was embarrassed. Well who wouldn't be? Two guys just touched hands. Everyone knows that guys aren't supposed to act like that.
I went about my day as normal. When it was lunch time, I had no one to sit with. That's fine, I guess. Nobody really knows me either way, I just transferred. The most I talked with anyone was with Adrian. God, he looked so pretty...
Wait. What did I just say? Guys shouldn't be called pretty. Especially not by other guys. So why did I just say that? It's probably just nothing, either way I can't be gay. That's just wrong. Gay people go against God, well that's what I've been told.
I sighed and headed to the cafeteria. Adrian saw me and waved. Why did he wave at me? We're not friends. We just interacted one time.
I ignored him and went to go get some food. After I got some, I looked for an empty table to sit alone. I saw a table in the corner and decided to sit there. This new school sucks. I have literally zero friends. At my old school, I had a decent sized friend group. Now I just have no one. It's fine, I guess.
After lunch, I had science, then history, and finally; reading. When I walked into class, I saw Adrian. Of course he had to be in my reading. As soon as I thought I was safe.
Adrian came up to me and asked if I wanted to sit next to him. "No thanks, I'm fine." "Oh, alright."
I took the farthest seat I could away from him. Maybe if I stay away from him, these feelings would go away.
