Anne Maria was sitting in the living room, legs crossed, reading her book. She could hear the mailbox opening and closing, and she glanced outside to see what was going on. There was no one outside, but the mailbox was open. 'I probably forgot to close it properly,' she thought as she went outside and checked the mailbox.
A bunch of stuff she didn't care about. Until she saw a pink envelope with red hearts on it. "Huh?" She looked at it as she reached for the envelope and pulled it out. She went back inside and read
To Anne Maria,
I have always admired your looks and your nature for a long time. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met
If you can figure out my identity, I may have a surprise for you
-your secret admirer"
Anne Maria read the note, flustered and confused. "I have a secret admirer?" She felt like her heart was going to jump out of her chest. She sighed as she pulled out her phone and texted someone
"Anne Maria! It's been a long time!" Dakota said cheerfully as she opened her arms and reached out for a hug. Anne Maria smiled and hugged her. Sam was right behind Dakota who decided to join in the hug. "Okay, I could use some help." The three of them sat down on the couch together.
"What's up?" Sam asked as she looked at Anne Maria. "So," Anne Maria pulled out the note she had gotten earlier. Dakota's face lit up. "Wow, you have a secret admirer!" she said as she slid over to Sam and the two read the note together.
"Who do you think it could be?" she asked. "I actually have no idea." Anne Maria shrugged. "What about the woman you work with?" Sam asked. "Jo? I don't think so." Anne Maria thought for a moment. "Of course." An idea sparked in her mind.
Jo was pacing nervously. She had sent a letter to someone and was afraid of the answer she would get.
There was a knock at the door and she went to answer it. A little duckling flew in and flew onto the table. "Hey, come here little man," said Jo, reaching out her hand to the duckling. The duckling flew into her hand and calmed down.
"What's this?" She saw a note around the duck's wing and carefully pulled it out to read.
To Jo,
You've always been such a sweet person since we met, of course you were very grumpy but that's why I love you
-your secret admirer.
Now Jo was confused and turned into a shy mess. She read the note over and over again as it looked nervous. She gently put the duckling to rest and the duck left the room.
"I have a secret admirer now?" she thought to herself, scratching her head in surprise as she read the note. 'My secret admirer is so sweet. If she knows I could be, it could be these two people' She thought as she tapped her chin 'Oh-' Anne Maria waited patiently as she looked at her phone.
The note she received said to meet her in the woods. She sat up when she heard footsteps approaching. "So you're my secret admirer?" Anne Maria crossed her arms over her chest as she looked at the mysterious hooded person in front of her.
The silhouette just nodded as Anne Maria looked at them in surprise. "Come on, we're going to my house." The two sighed as they walked towards Anne Maria's house. "So," Anne Maria said as she looked at the silhouette as she closed the door. "Show yourself."
The silhouette sighed as they took off their hoods and it was revealed that she was "Jo?" Anne Maria looked surprised as she spoke. "Yeah, it's me." Jo nervously rubbed her arm.
"I've always had feelings for you since I first met you." She giggled softly. Her expression softened when Anne Maria touched her cheek.
"I've done that too, not since our first interaction but when I got to know you better, you're so cute," she giggled.
Jo leaned in to kiss him and the two kissed happily.
