The End
Flashback a few days back
The city was still asleep when Ling stepped out of her car, the cold air biting at her skin. The streets were quiet, but she wasn’t here for peace. She had come for war.
The heavy gates of Popor’s house loomed in front of her, but Ling didn’t hesitate. She walked up, knocked once, then twice. Then, not bothering to wait for permission, she pounded on the door.
It took a minute before it swung open, and there stood Popor, looking half-asleep, her expression shifting from confusion to amusement when she saw who it was.
“Well, well,” Popor smirked, leaning against the doorway. “Didn’t expect a visit from you, Lingling. What, couldn’t sleep without thinking about me?”
Ling’s jaw clenched, her dark eyes burning with something dangerous.
“No.” Her voice was steady, cold. “I couldn’t sleep because I’m sick of you ruining Orm’s life.”
Popor chuckled, crossing her arms. “I think you’ve got that backwards, sweetheart. Orm ruined my life when she threw me away like trash. I’m just reminding her of who she really is.”
Ling stepped forward, closing the distance between them in a way that made Popor actually tense up.
“You’re pathetic,” Ling whispered, voice sharp as a blade. “You’ve spent years obsessing over her. Trying to destroy her. And for what? You lost. You have nothing left. Not her. Not the career you once had. You’re nothing now.”
Popor’s smirk faltered, but she held her ground. “And what, you think threatening me in my own house is gonna change anything? You’re not scary, Ling.”
Ling tilted her head, a deadly smile creeping onto her lips.
“Popor, I already beat you once,” she murmured. “And I won’t need to lift a finger this time. Because your downfall? It’s already happening.”
Popor’s confidence cracked, just slightly.
Ling continued, voice unwavering. “You should start praying that the news doesn’t break today. Because the moment it does, you’re done.”
Popor scoffed. “News? What the hell are you talking about?”
Ling stepped back, giving her one last piercing look.
“You’ll find out soon enough. And don’t you ever approach my woman again.”
And with that, she turned on her heel and walked away, leaving Popor standing in the doorway—for the first time, unsure of what was coming.
Present
Orm and Ling sat together on their couch, their phones lighting up with notifications every second. The moment Ling had warned Popor about had finally arrived. A news report flashed across the screen, the anchor’s voice clear and direct:
“Breaking news—Popor, the former sports player and industry figure, is now facing multiple legal charges including harassment, defamation, and the orchestration of targeted attacks on public figures.”
Orm’s fingers gripped Ling’s tightly as they watched the news unfold. Orm's heart pounded with a mix of relief and lingering anger. She couldn't believe this day had finally come.
“Several victims, including well-known names in the industry, have come forward with testimonies against her. The police have confirmed that new evidence—leaked messages, recordings, and witness statements—implicates Popor in a long-term campaign of harassment and manipulation.”
Ling’s lips curled into a smirk. There it was—justice.
Orm exhaled, her jaw clenched, as she whispered, “It’s over.”
Ling turned to her, her fingers brushing against Orm’s cheek. “It’s over, my love.”
Orm swallowed, her eyes locked on the screen as it showed Popor being escorted into a police station, a swarm of reporters shouting questions at her. Popor’s face was pale, for the first time in years, truly powerless.
And the best part? Ling hadn’t even needed to throw a single punch this time. Justice had done it for her.
Orm let out a deep breath, turning to Ling with something unreadable in her gaze. “You knew this was coming,” Orm murmured, realization dawning on her.
Ling smirked, pressing a soft kiss to Orm’s hand. “Of course. I just wanted to see her suffer a little longer before the fall.”
Orm chuckled, shaking her head. “You’re scary sometimes, you know that?”
Ling grinned. “Only when someone tries to hurt the woman I love.”
Orm leaned back, pulling Ling closer. “I can’t believe it’s finally over. What do we do now?”
Ling’s eyes sparkled with mischief. “Now? We live, Orm. We live freely, happily, and without fear. And maybe... we can start building our future.”
Orm’s eyes widened slightly, a smile spreading across her face. “You’re right. Let’s start living my love.”
As they sat there, wrapped in each other’s arms, the weight of the past lifted, and the future stretched out before them, full of promise and love. But little did they know, a new adventure was just around the corner, waiting to test their bond once more.
___________
The next morning Ling and Orm sat in their favorite café, a cozy spot tucked away from the city's bustle. The table between them was covered with magazines, brochures, and a notebook filled with scribbled ideas and plans. The air was filled with the aroma of fresh coffee and the soft hum of conversation from nearby tables.
Ling flipped through a bridal magazine, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she pointed to a page. "What do you think about this venue? It's by the river, and the sunset views are supposed to be breathtaking."
Orm leaned over, glancing at the photo of the elegant riverside venue. "It looks perfect," she said, smiling at Ling's enthusiasm. "But isn't that the place where they filmed that romantic movie last year?"
Ling grinned. "Exactly. If it's good enough for a movie set, it's good enough for our wedding."
Orm chuckled, taking a sip of her coffee. "You're right. Let's add it to the list of places to visit."
Ling nodded, jotting down the venue's name in her notebook. "And what about the cake? I was thinking something classic but with a twist. Maybe a hint of Thai flavors?"
Orm raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Like what?"
"Maybe a coconut cream filling or a layer infused with lemongrass?" Ling suggested, her eyes gleaming with ideas.
Orm smiled, loving how Ling's creativity shone through even in the smallest details. "Sounds delicious. We should set up some tastings."
As they continued to discuss their plans, Ling's phone buzzed with a message. She glanced at it and sighed. "It's Marisa. She says the media is already buzzing about our wedding. They're speculating on everything from the date to the guest list."
Orm's expression darkened slightly. "We knew this would happen. But we don't have to let it dictate our plans. This is our day, and we'll do it our way."
Ling reached across the table, taking Orm's hand in hers. "You're right. We've been through enough. This is about us, and we'll make it perfect."
Orm squeezed Ling's hand, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. "Together, we can handle anything baby."
________
The weeks leading up to the wedding had been a whirlwind of preparations. Ling and Orm had meticulously planned every detail, from the venue to the guest list, ensuring their special day would be perfect. The excitement was palpable, but so was the stress.
One afternoon, as they were finalizing the seating arrangements in their cozy home office, Orm's phone buzzed with a notification. She glanced at it, and her expression immediately shifted from joy to surprise.
"What's wrong?" Ling asked, noticing the change in Orm's demeanor.
Orm hesitated before answering, "It's... it's Tida. She's back in town and wants to meet."
Ling's eyebrows shot up. Tida, Orm's ex, had been part of Orm's life before Ling. Her sudden reappearance was unexpected and unsettling.
"What does she want?" Ling asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
Orm shook her head. "I don't know. She just said she wants to catch up."
Ling's mind raced with questions and doubts. She had heard stories about Tida from Orm but had never met her. The thought of this ex resurfacing so close to their wedding made her uneasy.
"Are you going to meet her?" Ling asked, attempting to hide her concern.
Orm looked into Ling's eyes, sensing her unease. " Babe we used to be friends before sleeping together. But I want to be transparent with you. No secrets."
Ling nodded, appreciating Orm's honesty. "I trust you, Orm. But I can't help feeling a bit worried. What if she wants more than just a catch-up? I know you, but I don’t know her"
Orm took Ling's hand, squeezing it gently. "I understand your concern, Ling. But I promise you, there's nothing to worry about. My heart belongs to you, and only you. Is my woman jealous?"
Ling smiled softly, feeling reassured by Orm's words. "Of course I am."
Orm leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Ling's forehead. "If it bothers you love, I won’t meet her"
Ling kissed her back and then answered “It’s up to you”
But she could feel her nerves growing by Orm’s hesitation. Why did she hesitate? Is she not enough for her? Is she already bored?
The room felt suddenly colder after Ling's words, the weight of her hurt and anger hanging heavily in the air. Orm stood frozen, watching as Ling grabbed her jacket and headed for the door.
"Ling, wait," Orm called out, her voice filled with desperation. " Baby please, don't go. Let's talk about this. I’m sorry"
Ling paused at the door, her back to Orm, her shoulders tense. "I can't talk right now, Orm. I need some air. I need to think."
Orm took a step forward, her heart pounding with fear and regret. "Ling, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just... I need you to understand—"
Ling cut her off, her voice steady but laced with pain. "I do understand, Orm. That's the problem. I understand that you're still thinking about her, about what she means to you. And I can't be here right now, wondering if you're having second thoughts about us. Your hesitation just broke my heart"
With that, Ling opened the door and stepped out, leaving Orm alone in the silence of their home. The click of the door felt final, a stark reminder of the rift that had suddenly opened between them.
Orm sank onto the couch, her head in her hands, the reality of the situation crashing down on her. She had never intended to hurt Ling, but her hesitation had done exactly that. The thought of Ling out there, alone and hurting, tore at her heart. She needed to find a way to make this right, to prove to Ling that her love and commitment were unwavering.
As the minutes ticked by, Orm's mind raced with thoughts of how to reach Ling, how to apologize correctly. After Ling left, she didn’t even respond to her ex’s text and won’t. She felt so stupid. How could she let Ling think that she has doubts. When Ling is the woman of her life, the mother of her future children. She always hated herself for hurting Ling.
“Fuck me” she shouted in the apartment.

Ling stepped out into the cool evening air, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. She walked aimlessly for a while before realizing she needed someone to talk to, someone who could offer a different perspective. She found herself at Junji and Fluke's doorstep, hoping they could provide the comfort and clarity she needed.
Junji answered the door, her face lighting up with surprise. "Ling! What are you doing here?"
Ling forced a smile. "Hey, Junji"
"Hey babe, come in," Junji said, ushering her inside. Fluke appeared from the kitchen, a warm smile on his face. "Ling, what's up?"
Ling sighed, sinking onto their couch. "I had a fight with Orm. It's about her ex, Tida. She's back in town, and Orm wants to meet her."
Junji and Fluke exchanged a glance before Junji chuckled. "And you're mad because...?"
Ling's eyes widened. "Because she's hesitating! About meeting her ex, right before our wedding!"
Fluke laughed softly. "Ling, you're being a bit possessive, don't you think? Orm loves you. She's not going to throw that away for an ex."
Ling crossed her arms, feeling defensive. "I know she loves me. But why does she need to meet Tida? Why now?"
Junji sat down next to her, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Maybe Orm just needs closure. It's not about doubting your relationship; it's about tying up loose ends."
Fluke nodded in agreement. "And let's be real, Ling. You're the one Orm chose. She's committed to you. Don't let insecurity ruin that. This girl is head over heels for you"
Ling sighed, feeling a bit foolish. "You're right. I just... I got scared. I thought maybe she was having second thoughts. I don’t know what I was thinking"
Junji smiled gently. "Talk to her, Ling. Communication is key. And trust Orm. She's not going anywhere."
Ling nodded, feeling a bit more at ease. "Thanks, guys. I needed that."
Orm paced the living room, her heart heavy with regret. She knew she had hurt Ling, and the thought of causing her pain was unbearable. When she heard the front door open, she rushed to meet Ling, her eyes filled with apology and pulling her in her arms.
"Ling, I'm so sorry," Orm began, her voice soft but earnest. "I never meant to hurt you. I was wrong to hesitate. I should have been more decisive, more reassuring. I love you so much baby I’m so so sorry"
Ling looked at Orm, her eyes reflecting a mix of hurt and love. "I'm sorry too, Orm. I overreacted. I let my fears get the best of me. I love you too, you know that"
Orm stepped closer, taking Ling's hands in hers. "I love you, Ling. Only you. And I promise, there will be no more hesitation, no more doubts. You are my future, and I am committed to you completely."
Ling's eyes welled up with tears, but she smiled softly. "I love you too, Orm. And I trust you."
Orm leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Ling's lips, sealing their promise of love and trust. In that moment, they both knew that no matter what challenges came their way, their love would always guide them through.
A month later
The sun shone brightly over the elegant riverside venue, casting a golden glow on the beautifully decorated space. Guests mingled, their faces lit with excitement and anticipation as they awaited the ceremony. The air was filled with the soft melody of a string quartet, and the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze added a touch of nature's harmony.
In a private room nearby, Ling stood before a full-length mirror, her heart fluttering with a mix of nerves and joy. Her wedding gown was a vision of elegance, with intricate lace detailing and a flowing train that seemed to dance with every movement. Her hair was styled in soft waves, adorned with delicate flowers that matched the bouquet she held.
Mae entered the room, her eyes glistening with tears of happiness. "Ling, you look absolutely breathtaking," she whispered, gently adjusting a stray lock of hair.
Ling smiled, feeling a surge of gratitude and love. "Thank you, Mae. For everything."
Mae squeezed her hand. "You deserve every bit of happiness, Ling. Orm is lucky to have you."
Meanwhile, Orm stood in another room, dressed in a tailored suit that accentuated her confident and poised demeanor. Her heart raced with anticipation, and she couldn't help but smile at the thought of seeing Ling walk down the aisle.
Papa Oct approached her, his eyes filled with pride. "Orm, you look incredible. I'm so proud of the woman you've become."
Orm smiled warmly. "Thank you, Papa. I couldn't have done it without you."
As the music shifted to the processional, Ling took a deep breath, ready to take the steps that would bind her to Orm forever. She walked down the aisle, her eyes locked on Orm, who stood waiting, her gaze filled with love and admiration.
The ceremony was a blur of heartfelt vows and promises, each word a testament to their love and commitment. As they exchanged rings, the world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the moment.
"I, Ling, take you, Orm, to be my partner for life, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for as long as we both shall live," Ling said, her voice steady and sure.
Orm's eyes shimmered with tears as she repeated her vows, her voice filled with emotion. "I, Orm, take you, Ling, to be my partner for life, to love and cherish, in joy and in sorrow, for as long as we both shall live."
With the exchange of rings and a tender kiss, they were pronounced officially married, and the room erupted in cheers and applause.
As they walked back down the aisle, hand in hand, they knew that this was just the beginning of their journey together. The challenges they had faced had only made their love stronger, and they were ready to face whatever the future held, side by side.
The reception was in full swing, with laughter and music filling the air. Guests danced and celebrated, their joy palpable as they shared in the happiness of the newlyweds. Amidst the festivities, Ling and Orm slipped away, seeking a quiet moment to themselves.
They found a secluded spot by the river, the soft glow of string lights overhead casting a romantic ambiance. The gentle sound of water flowing provided a soothing backdrop to their private world.
Ling leaned against the railing, looking out at the shimmering water, her heart full. Orm stepped behind her, wrapping her arms around Ling's waist and pulling her close.
"It's been quite the day, wifey" Orm murmured, her voice soft against Ling's ear.
Ling smiled, leaning back into Orm's embrace. "The best day. I can't believe we're finally here."
Orm pressed a gentle kiss to Ling's temple. "I can. Every moment, every challenge led us here. And I wouldn't have it any other way."
Ling turned in Orm's arms, her eyes reflecting the soft lights around them. "I love you, Orm. More than words can express."
Orm's heart swelled with emotion. "I love you too, Ling. Today, tomorrow, forever."
They stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the world around them fading away. In that moment, it was just the two of them, their love a beacon of light and hope.
"Remember when we thought we might not make it?" Ling whispered, her voice tinged with nostalgia. "All the doubts, the fears..."
Orm nodded, her gaze steady. "We fought through them all. And here we are, stronger than ever."
Ling reached up, cupping Orm's face in her hands. "Together. Always."
Orm leaned in, capturing Ling's lips in a tender kiss, a promise of love and devotion. As they pulled away, their foreheads rested together, their breaths mingling in the cool night air.
"Ready to face whatever comes next?" Orm asked softly.
Ling smiled, her eyes shining with certainty. "With my wife by my side, always."
Hand in hand, they returned to the celebration, their hearts intertwined, ready to embrace the future together as happily married.
