A new body?
J woke up a few minutes after sunset. She reluctantly lets go of Tessa's helmet and leaves her nest to go hunting. She flew through the cool air of copper nine avoiding the bunker. She didn't doubt V was serious about her threat. She spots too workers and dives down grabbing one and stabbing the other with her tail.
She drags both back to her nest and cuts one head off. She drinks the oil from it and takes Tessa's helmet. She leaves her nest again and flies up to the top of a building and stargazes. Her and Tessa both loved stargazing in the manor so she kept doing it.

Tessa and Cyn were talking. Tessa had stopped jumping every time Cyn snuck up on her and was actually enjoying her presence. Cyn was chatting away while Tessa braided her hair. Cyn always had something to talk about.
Tessa glances at Doll who was sitting on a ledge kicking her feet. Doll was anti social and Tessa learned quickly that Doll wouldn't talk unless she wanted to. That was fine with Tessa she and Cyn were getting along away.
A drone with short messy purple hair appears. Tessa was unfamiliar with the drone and paused what she was doing. Cyn notices and glances at Tessa before getting up and running over to the drone. Tessa follows but she walks.
"Hello big sister Uzi!"
"Hi Cyn..." The drone. Uzi Tessa remembers Doll mentioning her before looks over at Tessa. "Hi Tessa. I'm Uzi kinda your host right now" Uzi was obviously struggling with wording her sentence. "Uzi is big brother N's girlfriend too!" Cyn says happily. Tessa looks at Cyn then back at Uzi. "Can't say I'm surprised." Tessa says to Uzi not exactly surprised that N is dating his literal opposite.
"Yea thanks Cyn for revealing my relationship with your brother. Anyway. Tessa I was wondering if you or Cyn might be interested in having your own body again?" Cyn stares into space for a good minute. "Uh... Maybe? Can you even put a human in a worker body?" Tessa says
"Only if big sister Tessa gets a body" Cyn responds to Uzi
"Technically yes we can put you into a human body. It's a bit more complicated then say just moving Cyn or Doll but still easy. I just wanted to ask and Cyn I already assumed you would want Tessa with you." Uzi answers Tessa's question
"I'll think about it" Tessa says petting Cyn's head
Uzi's expression changes for a second before smiling at Tessa and disappearing. "Something probably happened to her actual body. It feels weird as hell when you feel it but also don't" Cyn says and Tessa excepts it

Uzi returns to her actual body after feeling like she was being poked. It was Nori tapping her screen.
"What Mom?" She asks putting a hand on the edge of her visor
"You suddenly went limp after saying you were going to ask Tessa something and almost hit the ground" Nori says with a annoyed tone
"I'm fine Mom"
"I don't care your sitting down next time"
"Fineeeeee"
Nori pets her daughters hair and looks over at the drone body they were starting to build. It was for Cyn and Uzi decided to add extra support in the legs because from what V would tell her. Cyn had horrible motor control and balance in the manor
"What did they say?" The core asks looking back at Uzi
"Tessa is thinking about it and Cyn is refusing to get a body unless Tessa also gets one. Doll is ignoring everyone like usual" Uzi explains
"Not horrible responses at least" Nori says

V was out on another hunt. Lizzy decided to come with her this time. They were a descent way from the bunker and saw a bur of silver and yellow as J tackled and killed two workers. V watches her drag them off and when V realizes that J was taking them to her nest she stopped watching.
Disassembly drone nests were not something others were supposed to know the location of. Unless obviously you are partners. Her nest is the one thing V wouldn't be able to be upset about if J attacked her for being too close. She picks up Lizzy and flies a little farther.
During her hunt she managed to get two workers. After tho... She was a mess in Lizzy's lap while receiving pets. Her tail was wagging slightly and she was purring loudly with her face buried in Lizzy's chest. One of Lizzy's favorite things to do to V was make her a incoherent mess with pets. And that's exactly what she was doing now that they were back in their unit.
She gently tugs at V's hair every now and then while petting and scratching her weak spots. V whines into her chest and if even possible becomes more of a mess. Lizzy pulls her up and kisses her. V leans into the kiss and lets out a small whine when Lizzy pulled away.
"Your a absolute adorable mess, V" Lizzy says teasingly
V makes a noise and buries her face in Lizzy neck.
