The Godslayer Who Lived 3

"Lily Jasmine Potter, arise."

Tonks stared at him in utter shock. Alice simply looked amused, even as a figure took shape from the shadows, standing in front of him.

A petite, slender woman with dark red hair and bright green eyes. Looking towards him, she said in a soft voice, "Harry?"

"Hello, mum," Harry said quietly.

"Oh, Harry," she said, moving to hug him. Harry's arms slipped around his mother and he hugged her tightly. "Oof, careful! You're a lot stronger than you look!"

Harry laughed, saying, "Mum, this is Princess Alice Louise. She's with the Witengamot. Just call her Alice. And this is Auror Tonks. I... uh, don't know her first name, she won't tell me, so I just call her Tonks."

"Wait." Staring at Tonks, Lily said, "Little Nymphadora? I knew your mother."

"Don't call me that!" Tonks said stridently, hair turning red, before saying more quietly, "Mum said she knew you, though. Wotcher, ma'am." She glanced at Harry, "I, er, wasn't expecting this when we came to Gringotts."

"Nor was I expecting to be summoned and made whole again," Lily said lightly. "Thank you for that, Harry." Her voice is dry, "This is a strange experience." She glanced at her son, "How, may I ask, did you become a Campione?" Of course someone like Lily knew of Campione, and part of the Authority told her who her summoner was.

"Hades showed up. The magic of your blessing combined with a few other things, so I could hurt him." Harry shrugged, "I was lucky. Before we talk more, though, give me a moment." He offered her her wand, and then picked up the other wand. Again, magic began to build, growing stronger and stronger.

Tonks opened her mouth to speak, only to have Alice touch her arm, shaking her head.

"I am the one who carries all away, he who judges souls! I order thee, Charon, to bring my servants across the rivers and past the jaws of Cerberus to serve me! James Henry Potter, arise."

Once more, a figure appeared, forming slowly out of shadow. Soon, an older version of Harry appeared, if with Hazel eyes. He didn't need to speak, he moved forward to hug both Lily and Harry. "Lils! Harry!"

Returning the hug, Harry felt tears pricking in his eyes. He rubbed them with the back of his arm, and offered the man's wand to him, "Hi, dad."

"Who'd have thought that our Harry would become a godslayer!" James sounded inordinately proud.

Lily rolled her eyes, looking amused, "James, this is Princess Alice Louise and Nymphadora Tonks. I'm told to call them Alice and Tonks."

"Ladies," James said, bowing with a grin, "Nice to meet you both." He looked at Harry, "We definitely have things to talk about."

"True," Harry admitted, "But that can wait." He started to place money into a bag he pulled from his pocket, "I just wanted to pick up some money and we can leave."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr and Mrs Potter," Alice said with an inclination of her head. "I'm from the Witengamot, Mr Potter, and am here to help Harry settle into his new position. Tonks is here to help him relearn his magic."

"Relearn his magic?" asked James.

"As a Campione, he is far stronger. It wouldn't do to cast a healing spell and accidentally kill the patient," Alice said with a shrug.

"Uh. Yeah," James said after a moment. "That makes sense."

"You two are remarkably calm about this," observed Tonks, even as Harry finished and slipped the bag into his bag.

"I think it's part of his magic," Lily said after a moment. "It told me who was summoning me, and some things about the situation I was arriving in. Otherwise, I'd probably be sobbing over seeing my son for the first time in years."

Harry frowned, "It's not controlling you, is it?" he asked, suddenly worried.

"Oh, no, nothing like that," Lily assured him. "I'd have to obey if you told me to do something, but I'm not controlled right now."

"Note to self. Don't order you two, even jokingly," muttered Harry. He gestured, "Let's go then. I need to get back to the cottage to practice more."

As they made their way out of the bank, Harry paused, "You might want to keep your heads down." Emerging, Harry looked around slowly, a man walking up the steps of the bank nodding politely at the group.

"Avada Kedavra!" A bolt of green light streaked out from a hidden wand and struck Harry in the chest. He looked down at where the spell hit him. And then back up. He couldn't help but snark, "Ow?" The figure standing before him stared at him in shock and horror, and then he fell to Tonks' stunning spell.

"Bloody hell!" Tonks said in shock, "I recognize this guy. He's an auror."

"Do you think he's working for Voldemort or was he sent by the Ministry to 'deal with me'?" Harry asked musingly.

"They wouldn't do that!" Lily said in shock.

Harry looked at his mother, "Mum, the Ministry's really corrupt. Trust me, they would. Wait till you hear what's been going on the past few years." He shook his head, "Let's let the goblins take him as he attacked me on Gringotts property." He nodded at the nearby guards who began to move forward. "Deal with him as you wish. If the Ministry protests, say I gave permission. I'd prefer if you made everything public, though." He looked at the others, "Let's go."

Alice looked pleased with his decision. "He's right. The Witengamot has its own issues, but we are nowhere near as bad as the Wizengamot and the Ministry of Magic," Alice offered, following Harry towards the street. Almost idly, Alice murmured something under her breath and conjured two hats, "We have to go through the Leaky Cauldron, put these on?"

Tonks looked unsure, "I really don't want to believe that the Ministry would do that. But they did try to get you expelled and thrown into Azkaban for defending yourself."

James interjected. "Seriously, Azkaban? Who's the Minister right now?"

"The Minister's name is Fudge," Alice supplied primly as they walked.

"That wanker?" James asked incredulously. "How'd he get to be Minister?"

Alice said with a slight shrug as they moved through the old tavern, "Politics, in a nutshell." Once arriving onto the street, she added, "First, we need to get to a nearby hotel, where I have a helicopter waiting."

"We're travelling by helicopter?" Lily sounded interested, "I've never done that. Plane, sure, but not helicopter."

"We are, it's pretty cool," Tonks said brightly. She glanced at Harry, "It is slower than our methods, though."

"Yeah, yeah," Harry said dryly. "I'm sorry that I'm slowing things down. I shall do whatever you ladies wish in exchange," he jokes.

Tonks smirked, "Oh, whatever we wish?" She draws out the last syllable with a grin, "I like this idea." She's just teasing him, but Harry's cheeks turn red. Funnily enough, so do Alice's.

"Tonks, please don't break my son." Lily sounded amused.

"From what I hear, he's more likely to break me," Tonks said brightly, causing Harry to cough, somehow turning even redder.

"Tonks!" As Lily's voice rang out, James just snickered.

Alice's voice is dryly amused, "I'll have to make a note. A new way to defeat a Campione: through embarrassment."

"I hate you all," was Harry's only response.

Soon, they arrived back at the cottage. Once they were dropped off, Harry glanced at Tonks. "Tonks, I have something to tell you." He paused, "Sirius Black is innocent." He's hoping to get Sirius over here to talk to and meet with his parents. Which cannot happen if the auror tries to arrest him.

"How can Sirius Black be innocent?" asked Alice. "He's a mass murderer."

"Mass Murderer?" James yelped as he stared at Harry and Alice.

Tonks seemed about to say something, but lets Harry speak, glancing at him. "Actually, he's not. I met him in my third year at Hogwarts. He and Peter Pettigrew, the man he allegedly killed. Pettigrew was the one who blew up the street, and was the Secret Keeper for my parents," Harry explained to Alice.

"Why wasn't this revealed at his trial?" asked Alice.

"Didn't have one," Harry said, glancing towards Tonks a moment. "Bagnold and Crouch just threw him into Azkaban."

"And this is why I always had problems with wizards and witches," Lily said to James. "Sure, the non-magical world isn't perfect, but still. No trial? What the hell?"

"I'm already aware," Tonks chimed in, surprising Harry, "It's one reason I'm here, I'm working with Headmaster Dumbledore along with others to defend against Voldemort. We actually meet at Sirius' mother's house, where he's staying."

"Ah, good. You said there were wards here?" Harry asked Alice. "Can you let Tonks bring someone through them via apparition? I'd like Sirius to visit."

"Order of the Phoenix?" asked Lily. At Tonks' nod, she said to Harry, "That was the group he ran during the war. James and I were members.

"I can do that, yes. Tonks is already allowed to apparate in with others. I'll add James and Lily as well," Alice said, nodding at them.

"Oh good. Tonks, can you bring Sirius here this evening? I'd like to talk to him and introduce him to mum and dad." He suddenly grinned, "Don't tell him they're here, I want it to be a surprise."

James laughed, "Now that's a prank. He'll go spare."

"James," Lily chided. Her lips were twitching, however. "It'll be good to see him again."

"Sure, I can do that," Tonks agreed. "It may take me some time, so I will do that now."

"I suppose as she's gone, I will handle the arrangements for your new home to be built," Alice said. She glanced at James and Lily. "It'll give time to talk to your parents."

"Thanks, Alice," Harry said, reaching out to squeeze her hand gently, before letting go. "I appreciate it." With that, he headed into the cottage, followed by his mum and dad.

Later that evening, Harry was sitting on the couch, reading through another book Alice had given him. Sitting beside him was Alice, a sheaf of parchment on her lap. Suddenly, the door opened and Tonks entered, "Wotcher, Harry, Alice. I brought Sirius." In came Sirius, the man still looking rather thin, though much better than the last time Harry had seen him.

"Hey, Harry!" the man said, moving towards him. Harry stood up and hugged him. "So, Harry, I hear you're a bloody godslayer now? I read a few faerie tales about them when I was a kid but didn't realize they were real."

"Well, they are apparently," Harry said with a shrug, "I was very lucky. Alice here says that's normal, though. Sirius Orion Black, meet Princess Alice Louise. She likes to be called Alice."

"Nice to meet you, lovely lady," Sirius quipped, bowing as he took Alice's hand, kissing the back of it.

Alice looked amused, "And yourself as well, Mr Black."

Sirius shuddered, "Please. Call me Sirius. So, this is where you're staying?"

"For now. I have Alice making arrangements for a larger house to be built on Potter land. That's what that parchment work is, actually," Harry answered.

"You wizards are insane," Alice said with a sigh, as she put the parchment on the table in front of her. "Why don’t you use paper and pens? At least I can use a fountain pen to fill out all of this. A quill would be torture."

"Because we wizards," Sirius said dryly, "Are bloody stupid about some things." He shook his head, "I'm not an expert on muggles, but some things they've made are pretty damn useful."

Harry snickered, before adding, "Oh, by the way, I have some people for you to meet."

"Oh?" Sirius started. "Who might that be--" The last word slurred into silence as he stared in shock as Lily and James entered the room.

"Well, would you look at that?" Lily said to James, "We actually rendered him speechless. It's a miracle."

"I don't know. I think he did that the time he walked in on you in that towel," James quipped.

"James!" Lily swatted him with a blush.

"Lily? James?" Sirius was staring. "What...how?"

"Yes, Padfoot, it's really us," said James. "As for how, the heretic god Harry killed was Hades."

"Hades?" Sirius blinks, "Wait, you can raise the bloody dead?" he asked Harry, rushing forward to hug Lily and James, actually lifting them both and swinging them around.

"Ack! Sirius, put me down," laughed Lily.

"What she said," added James.

"Not exactly," Harry commented, laughing. "They're not truly alive, but they're really here. I basically summoned their souls and put each into a body powered by magic. It's a little more complicated than that but close enough. They'll stay as long as they have magic. I top them off every few days."

"What happens if the magic fades?" asked Sirius.

"They go back to the afterlife until I call them back," Harry said with a slight shrug. "It wouldn't hurt them or anything."

"This is amazing! We need to bring Moony here, too!" Sirius said brightly.

"Oh, are you and Remus still a thing?" asked Lily curiously.

Sirius coloured, "Not exactly, we had a lot of issues when I escaped from Azkaban. I'm hopeful, though."

"Oh, I didn't know you and Moony were an item," Harry said in surprise.

"We dated since sixth year," Sirius said. "But that kind of stopped when I was sent to Azkaban, of course."

"Anyway, Sirius, come sit down," Harry said. "I thought you'd like to speak to mum and dad, and I wanted to see you to tell you about all of this Campione stuff."

"Good idea. For one thing, why does Tonks need to help you relearn your magic?" Sirius asked.

"Because he's bloody terrifying now that he's Campione," Tonks said as she sat down. "When we first started practising, he cast a Stunning Spell and made the dummy explode. I mean, it was like shrapnel from a muggle grenade. His Exploding Charm created a crater over a hundred feet wide. He needs to learn to control his magic."

"Way to make me feel inferior, Harry," Sirius joked, "That's incredible. Okay, well..."

Over the next few days, Harry found himself having fun in spite of how much work he was putting into learning. Or even, because of this fact. Each day, the morning would be spent working on his magic and authorities, while his afternoons were spent studying from the books Alice provided and later, other books that his mum and dad suggested. His parents had to join him in morning practice for a day or two as apparently their magic, thanks to Harry using so much magic summoning them, was also stronger than they were used to. If not nearly to the level of Harry's.

The evenings were spent with his parents, Alice, Tonks, and sometimes Sirius or Moony, just hanging out and talking.

A little more than a week later, Tonks added lessons on apparition and portkey creation to Harry's studies. He actually found portkeys easier to create than it was to apparate. While they required a lot more power, creating a portkey involved a straightforward series of steps.

Apparition was more instinctual and was taking longer to learn. Which Harry learned the hard way one morning when in the middle of an attempt to apparate, Harry appeared on the other side of the room.

Without his arm.

He was surprised there was no pain, and looking behind him, he saw his arm on the ground, an odd purple haze around the detached stump.

"Thankfully, splinched wounds don't bleed as much as they should," muttered Tonks as she picked up his arm, approaching him and resting it against his upper arm. She was about to heal it when she remembered, "Wait, but I can't cast spells on you, how am I supposed to reattach the arm?"

Alice noted, "You can use most potions on a Campione. Also, magic can affect them if it's cast within them. Or in other words," she murmured, stepping close to Harry and before he could move away or she lost her nerve, she briefly kissed him. Harry could feel his spell take effect, and he stepped back, blushing, as he ran his fingers over his arm, "Uh, that worked."

Alice was blushing as well, not looking at Tonks, "Well, that method works, even if it's rather intimate."

Tonks started to snicker, "Oh ho, Harry. Seducing an older girl, are you? You dog."

Harry looked at Tonks for a moment. And then quipped, "Am I? Perhaps I should pursue you as well then?" His blush became more pronounced as he attempted to tease the pink-haired auror.

"Why Harry," gasped Tonks. "Are you trying to create a harem of hot older women?" She looked at Alice, then down at herself, "I suppose I can see it."

By this time, Alice was blushing even more brightly, and Harry put his head in his hands, "You win."

"Of course I win, Harry," Tonks said, patting his shoulder. "I am older than you, big bad Campione or not." She gave him a quick peck on his cheek, "And who knows what could happen in the future?" She smirked and walked back to Alice, "Now, let's work on apparition some more."

"Evil," muttered Harry.

"Harry?" asked Alice a few days later.

"Yes?" Harry asked, looking up from his book. Tonks had an appointment with her boss, so they weren't doing magical training.

"Two things," Alice stated, "One, your new home will be finished tomorrow. Two, there's a meeting with the Wizengamot today, and I just received a warning from Tonks that they will be discussing your status. They, of course, didn't notify the Witengamot. I think it's time for us to make an entrance."

"Make an entrance?" Harry asked.

"Yes. The meeting is supposed to begin in an hour, at ten. I think you should get ready and you can create a portkey to the Wizengamot Chambers. I'll give you proper magical coordinates," Alice said.

"Should I bring mum and dad?" Harry asked.

Alice laughed, "While it would certainly help intimidate them, it'd also truly frighten some people, so no."

"All right," Harry said before considering, "You know more about this than I do. Should I wear fancy robes? Or go muggle?"

"Muggle. You want to show them you're not to be controlled. Though good muggle clothes. That dark grey suit I made you buy would be ideal," Alice said after a moment's thought.

"All right," Harry said, heading upstairs to shower and change.

Not long later, he returned to find Alice neatly dressed in a dark blue blouse and skirt and putting on a small bracelet covered with runes. "You change quickly," she observed. "I chose well with that outfit, it looks good on you."

"Thank you," Harry said, cheeks flushing slightly before asking, "Er, that outfit is nice as well." He winced at the sheer lameness of his words, before adding, "What's the bracelet?"

"Think of it as my version of a wand. It'll help focus my magic in case there's an emergency," Alice explained as she said, "All right, I'll give you the information so you can create the portkey for us. Use..." Her lips twitched, and she went to pick up a book from the library. Procedures of the Wizengamot. "This will do nicely." They'd be breaking those procedures soon enough. She proceeded to give him information on where to place the portkey. "Just be careful of the height too, we don't want to trip and fall."

"Okay," Harry said, accepting the book. He idly waved his wand over it, murmuring, and it glowed a bright blue before fading. "There we go. It's activated by saying your full name, Alice."

"We'll leave soon. They close their doors right at ten. We'll depart at 10:03." Alice looked amused. "Give them a surprise as they might not realize you can transport yourself through their wards." She added, "You must act strong. Even arrogant. I know it's not how you normally act, but it's necessary."

"You're the boss in this situation," Harry agreed.

Eventually, glancing at the clock, Alice asked, "You ready?" Hand already on the book, Harry nodded and Alice stated, "Princess Alice Louise."

Harry felt the jerk of a portkey, and they found themselves standing in the centre of a large room. There were tiers of seats, with people sitting upon them. Fudge stood near a podium, and there were guards at the doors, one of which Harry recognized due to her pink hair. Tonks.

Gesturing with a hand, Harry focused his power. He'd learned he didn't have to use an aria, though doing so helped decrease the magic he used. Around both Alice and him, eight shadowy figures appeared. "Good morning," Harry said brightly.

Beside him, Alice smiled. Overdramatic? Yes.

But also useful.
