Betrayal
Storybrook is a place so hidden that if you didn’t know it was there you would never find it and that was it’s exact purpose. For the past 36 years it was where all the storybook characters you loved were hidden away. My biological family are some of those storybook characters.
After everything that happened in Wakanda I was an emotional wreck. I had lost two children who I never thought I would see again but I still had 4 children depending on me so I had to keep going if not for me, for them. That’s when I felt this kind of calling, a magnetic feeling pulling me towards an uncertain destination I know now to be storybrook and that’s when things got interesting.
The people of storybrook (now the united realms) weren’t use to visitors so when I rolled into town people started asking questions, but before I got to any of them I knew there was one person in particular I needed to find. My Mother.
Obviously since I had the triplets I took on the powers of a vampire meaning I didn’t age but combined with my visit to neverland I only looked 21 compared to my 36 year old twin sister. Maybe that was why Snow White didn’t recognise me at first or maybe it was just denial but I was happy to enlighten her with the truth. I don’t think she could have pulled me and the girls out of sight any faster into her little loft. That’s when she actually took a step back to look at me, I think that’s when it registered with her that I had children, her grandchildren, but that didn’t seem to affect her because she told me I wasn’t welcome and that she never wanted to see me again. She was ready to shove us out the door but that’s when David (Charming) turned up.
Before snow could come up with a convincing enough lie I had beat her too it and was already giving David the simplified story on how I’m Emma’s twin but not technically his daughter and that’s when sides started to form. He embraced me like his own and my children as well, he wouldn’t even acknowledge Snow’s begs for forgiveness and that’s when she left, no doubt to Emma where she then planted her own seeds of lies. But before anything more happened with them I sat down with David and explained my life story of the adventures I had been on, all the love and loses I encountered on my journey to find my family.
He was so apologetic as though it was his fault but I never blamed him, how could he have known? All that I cared about now was that he believed me and was willing to accept me for who I was.
That would have been a lovely story if it had ended there but it didn’t because before I could do anything else there was a knock at the door. David opened the door to find a mob of angry citizens in the stairwell demanding that I leave, Snow had spread a rumour that I was there to cause harm and in small towns rumours spread fast. I didn’t want to cause any trouble so I agreed to leave but what snow failed to mention was that I had children with me and that shocked people. They must of thought I was going to endanger the girls because before I could do anything they had taken them and that’s when I really got pissed off.
Call me evil, manipulative or anything you want , I don’t care, but take my children and you are asking for a fight.
I walked onto Main Street with David at my side and in front of me was what looked like the whole town and leading them was my mother ,sisters and nephew Henry, what could be more heartbreaking than that. I didn’t want to hurt anyone so before this escalated I tried to be reasonable and talk it out but no one seemed to care what I had to say. It was if they were in attack mode so before they could make a move on me I immobilised them all except for Emma and Henry. I had questions and they were going to give me answers but before that could happen I had to beat Emma into submission.
Emma soon learned that she stood no chance against me because I had only hit her with two defence spells and she was already flat on her ass. I’ll give it to her she did get a good hit in while I wasn’t looking but after being hit with one or two more of my spells she surrendered. Their great saviour couldn’t last ten minutes with me, so what that says about her and their judgement isn’t all that great after all. Now that I had her at my mercy all I wanted to do was talk, that’s all I wanted to do in the first place it was them who insisted on this display of power. Anyway in the end I told them the actual story of our Snow White’s betrayal, how she made me out to be the bad guy and how all I wanted was my family which she denied me the chance of meeting. They didn’t believe me at first but the more I explained the more they listened and finally were sueded by logic. Henry was easier to convince than Emma but that might have also been the author in him, telling him to follow his gut.
Eventually I released everyone of my spell and before they could attack me Emma stepped in and told them what I told her. It wasn’t long till the tables were turned and Snow was now the one being hated. However now that I was a mother myself I wanted to give her a chance to explain because I know how hard the decision to give up a child is. But before I let her explain I demanded that my children be returned to me, which they eventually were by the blue fairy, and that’s when we as a family returned to the loft to hear what Snow had to say.
I wasn’t going to let anyone else fall for her deceptive lies so before my mother had a chance I hit her with a simple truth spell and that’s when everything started to become clear. The prophecy foretold that me and Emma could be capable of great good or great evil and she could only save one of us from that prophecy. As I wasn’t the chosen one my mother started to fear the worst worrying that I could turn out like her, because she isn’t as innocent as you would think. She was never worried that the truth of her infidelity with my father would get out even if she was to keep me but what she was actually scared of was the power I would possess. I know in my heart that it was one of the hardest decisions she would have ever had to make because, unlike Emma, she didn’t know if she would ever see me again. One thing she did do for me though was free me from the dark curse, she conspired with the blue fairy to lie about the wardrobe’s power so she could send me as well as Emma.
Which brings me to the final question I had been asking myself, who called me here? The simple answer is rumplestiltskin. He along with the blue fairy were the only people who knew about my existence so when he unfortunately died I was his only thing left unresolved so in his death he called me to storybrook.
