"I don't care what you think." Glimmer screamed in Shadow Weaver's face. What did she know? wasting away in her garden, trying to weave herself back into somekind of role in Bright Moon. She wouldn't get what she wanted and Glimmer would make sure of it.
"I taught him. He was a brilliant Sourer."
"I know all that, you've told me before. I could be just as strong as him and whatnot." Glimmer turn away gently touching a leaf of one of Shadow Weaver's plants.
"Queen Glimmer, I can tell you about him, if you'd like?"
Glimmer wanted to agree. Her heart ached to know more about him. She had been really young when her had died, it hurt not knowing what he was like. Her mum had told her bits and pieces but Angella was too deeply entrenched in her own guilt about his death to talk about him much.
"Why'd you say I look like him? I've seen pictures, we bear very few resemblances. I look much more like my mum."
"Your eyes." Shadow Weaver said without Glimmer even turning around. "You have Micah's eyes."
"Why are you telling me this? I'm not going to free you or let you touch anything. I will not give you anything in return for your knowledge."
"Oh, I do not wish for anything. I... I am an old woman, my queen. I simply wish to reminisce about my favourite student."
That conversation turned into Glimmer going to see Shadow Weaver everyday. Glimmer loved the stories of her father's youth, his stubbornness, his magical ability, his grit and determination. Shadow Weaver made Glimmer see all the ways her and her father were alike. Shadow Weaver made Glimmer feel like for a second she had family again. It stopped feeling like a Queen with her prisoner after weeks of Glimmer's daily visits to Shadow Weaver's garden. Glimmer felt like it was visiting an old friend before long.
"Hey, where are you going?" Adora saw Glimmer in the corridor ready and excited for her session with Shadow Weaver. Other than their stories Shadow Weaver had begun to teach her some spells which her her father's favourites. Sometimes her and Shadow Weaver just talked about Glimmer's duties and Shadow Weaver's plants. Glimmer knew that her and Shadow Weaver's meetings brighten both of their days. The only problem was...
"My office, I've got a lot a paper work to do. My counsellors suggested a long list of laws they need approval on."
Adora could never know about it.
"Okay, I'll walk with you, it's on the way to the training from I though I'd do some training make sure I'm sharp for battle."
