Chapter 4
The weeks went by quickly as Izuku worked with Shouta and several others to get the hang of his new quirks, it was a lot of work, and he was constantly sore and tired by the end of the day but he got to cuddle up with his love and be pampered. He could now fly really well, and shifting didn't hurt or freak himself out as much as it used to. Now traveling through the shadows was a bit more tricky. He found that shadows led to a different place, he wasn't sure exactly what kind of place it was, but it was a place. He would just need to travel through it more to figure it out better. They would be moving into the dorms in a few more days, making sure they were there before the other students arrived.
Now Izuku was getting dressed in his own apartment. It was the last day he had in the place, he was officially moving into Shouta’s place for good. Most of his stuff was already moved out, but the last of it would be moved while he was on his date. He chuckled as he pulled his hair back into a ponytail and grabbed the black and silver corset vest that was laying on his bed. He quickly put it on and laced up the back before he grabbed his leather jacket and headed for the door. He grabbed his keys and wallet before leaving. He looked at the shabby run down apartment for one last time with a smile. He was glad to be leaving this shitty place.
He smiled when he saw Shouta waiting outside of the building waiting for him, when he saw the heat in his eyes when he looked at Izuku, he could feel his cheeks heat. The man always knew how to make him feel like he was the most amazing thing he'd ever seen. He watched as Shouta opened the car door for him and before he slipped into the car he kissed him lightly.
Shouta had to remind himself he couldn't take Izuku right then and there on the hood of his trunk. He hummed softly as Izuku kissed him before slipping into the front seat. “Beautiful.” he purred out. He closed the door before going over to the driver's side and getting in. He was excited for this date, he loved taking his Bunny on dates, he always made him smile so brightly.
“So what’re we doing today?” Izuku asked curiously.
Shouta raised an eyebrow at Izuku and chuckled. “You know I'm not gonna tell you that, silly Bunny.” he laughed seeing Izuku pouting at him, “Put the eyes away, you’ll see when we get there I promise.”
Izuku pouted and crossed his arms over his chest. Why was he always so mean to him? He just wanted to know where they were going! He loved their dates, and now they had so many more options on where to go. Gone were his ugly primordial shoes, Shouta had surprised him last week with a custom pair of black combat boots. No one would know he used to be quirkless now. Nedzu'd even updated his ID so it didn't have false negative on it. The world was now so much more open to him and he couldn't wait to explore every inch of it.
Shouta chuckled as he watched Izuku, the man was just way too adorable, and sexy and just perfect. He didn't know how he got so damn lucky. He drove through the city until they got to the aquarium. He’d gotten tickets and pulled some strings to get a one on one with the penguins and the otters for Izuku. He looked over and saw the boyish wonder on his face and knew he’d done the right thing.
The two of them got out of the car, and Izuku linked his fingers with his own and he smiled, leaning over and kissing his cheek happily. “Come on Bunny, let's go see some fish.”
Izuku bounced with a bright smile as they walked into the building. He’d never been allowed to go to the aquarium. The two of them spent hours looking at the different tanks, Izuku fascinated by everything they saw. He would read the information out to Shouta even if the man knew it already or wasn't all that interested. For Izuku he’d listen to anything and everything just to make him happy. After they’d been to most of the areas Shouta began to guide Izuku back towards the penguins. The green haired man frowned a little in curiosity.
“I may have gotten us in to actually interact with the otter.” Shouta told him with a smirk.
Izuku completely lit up at his words. “Really!! I getta pet, the water puppies?”
Shouta couldn't help but chuckle and nod, “Yeah you do, but remember, you aren't allowed to try and steal them and take them home with us. They have to stay here.”
Izuku pouted as they were led inside the otter enclosure. The two of them sat down at the side of the pool, and listened to the trainer as they explained how things were going to go. Izuku was bouncing in his seat with the biggest smile on his face. Soon the otters began to climb up out of the water to investigate the people. Izuku was feeding one of them a crawfish happily as he pet silky soft fur. “You’re so cute!! How are you so cute and soft and amazing?” He asked the otter as it reached out with its little paws and took the treat. “I'm gonna name you George, and you can come home with me and I'll fill up a pool with water and we can cuddle all the time.”
Shouta chuckled as he watched izuku pick up the otter and hold it in front of his face as he spoke to it. “Bunny, we can't take him home. You were already told that.”
“But Shou!! He’s so cute and I promise I'll take really good care of him and everything!” He turned the mammal around to show his partner. “Just look at his cute little face, how can you say we can't take him home? I love him.”
“He's very cute, Izuku, but he needs to stay here with the other water puppies.” Shouta told him with a soft smile. “We don't have the resources to take care of such a cute baby.”
“They’re also very bonded with each other, you can't take him away because it would make him and the others super sad. They won't be able to have cuddle puddles.” the keeper said, trying hard not to laugh at the adorable man.
Izuku whined softly before cuddling the otter closely as he pouted looking between the two of them. “But.. but he's so cute and I love him.”
Shouta wished the man wouldn't give him puppy dog eyes like that, “We can come visit him again, Bunny, I promise.”
“Of course you can, we’ll be here anytime you want to come visit him again, and maybe in the future, there’ll be baby georges.” the woman said with a smile.
Izuku looked at both of them then at the little water puppy. “Baby’s? Oh I wanna see the little babies!” he held him up again, “I'm sorry George, I can't take you home, you have to stay here with your friends and mate if you have one. But I promise to come back and visit!”
The otter chattered and batted at izuku before the man put him down. Shouta fed another one a treat as he watched izuku play with ‘George.’ It was wonderful to see Izuku being so happy. It was about another hour before the two of them left the aquarium.
“That was amazing, thank you so much Shouta.” Izuku said as he tucked himself into the man's chest and hugged him in front of the car.
Shouta wrapped his arms around Izuku and held him, swaying slightly as they stood there. He kissed the man's head lightly. “I'm glad you enjoyed it, Bunny, but the date isn't over yet.” he chuckled when izuku looked up at him curiously, “Come on, Bunny. I still have to feed you now don't I?”
Izuku nodded with a soft smile, “Very true, hero man.” They split apart and got back into the car. Izuku figured they'd go to the cafe, but they went the opposite way. He knew better this time than to ask where they were going, but when they left the city he was a bit confused. Shouta chuckled as they pulled into the massive butterfly garden parking lot and got out. He’d asked Nem and Zashi to help him with this part, so a picnic would be set up in one of his own favorite places for them. Izuku smiled as he looked around, it was a beautiful day out already, even if it was a little bit cooler outside. “Oh wow, this is beautiful.” he said as they walked through the gates.
“I'm glad you think so, this is one of my favorite places. It's close to home so I don't have to take time off to come out here.” he took the man's hand and led him through tha gardens. They walked slowly so Izuku could stop and take pictures. He had butterflies landing on his hair and on his wings as they walked, and of course Shouta was quick to take pictures of him while he was distracted. What he didn't know was his friends were watching them and taking pictures of the two of them together. They made it to one of the streams with a small waterfall area where the blanket was laid out for them, their favorite foods waiting as well as a small radio.
Izuku was entranced with everything as they walked. It was beautiful out here with the flowers blooming, and the butterflies constantly flying around them. He didn't even know a place like this was here. They sat down at the blanket and izuku snuggled back into Shouta, the other man sitting at his back as they pulled out food. Shouta turned on the radio and they listened to some soft classical music as they ate, Shouta feeding Izuku small bites of food.
“You’re so amazing Shouta, I'm so glad I went into the cafe that day and met you.” Izuku said with a soft smile.
“Me too, I almost didn't go, but something had me doing it anyway. It's fate.” he said before kissing Izuku's neck lightly. “I'm the luckiest person in the world to have you here izuku. Thank you for being mine.”
Izuku huffed, “I'm the lucky one, you've given me more than I ever dreamed of having. It’s almost like a dream.” he purred softly, he loved the feeling of Shouta’s lips on his skin. The man really was perfect. “I love you, Shouta.” he whispered softly.
“I love you too, Izuku.” he said with a soft smile before he stood, helping Izuku to his feet. He took a step back and bowed, holding his hand out. “Will you do me the honor of a dance?”
Izuku blushed lightly before reaching out and taking the man's hand, “I would love to.” he said before he was pulled into the man's chest and the two of them swayed together in time with the music, Izuku’s head on shouta’s chest. As butterflies flew around them, and the water babbled softly, the two men danced to soft music surrounded by flowers. Not a care in the world.
