Regulus left his apartment three-four minutes ago and he is walking down the street for a work interview at the library. He always loved books, the smell of them, to read them, to get lost in them for hours, and when he heard the library is in need of employees, he didn’t think twice about not taking it. What could be more lovely than working in a place with everything you like.
“I’m looking for Remus Lupin?” Regulus asked as he looked at the tall young man, with nice brown eyes, little-messy brown hair, a soft smile and a large nose, but he looked handsome. The young-man held his hand out and waited for Regulus to shake it.
”I’m Remus” he smiled and Regulus responded to the handshake “Are you here for the interview?” he said and Regulus nodded, with a sight smile.
”I’m Regulus” he said.
Then the two of them sat down in the comfortable chairs near the front desk and talked about the library and what Regulus would do if he’ll get the job. The two of them really got along with each other, and became sort of friends already. Remus was pretty similar to Regulus, so he felt nice around him.
”You’re in” Remus said with a smile on his calming face, causing Regulus to show a smile (which he not often did) “You can start tomorrow”.
”Oh my god, thank you so much Remus” Regulus said and stood up “I’ll see you tomorrow” he said and shook Remus’ hand, walking out the library. He couldn’t express what happiness he felt at this moment.
Before arriving home, Regulus stopped by the tea shop and got him and his brother a cup, in order to celebrate Regulus’ new job.
Sirius was a rebel, a crazy minded person and he always searched having fun. He was 21 years old, and a second-year student in English major, but he didn’t care for what he did in college since he met his best friend. They met at the first day in college and they became inseparable ever since. Somehow, Regulus never met this best friend of Sirius, yet. He wasn’t really looking forward into, but he liked to see what person his brother is spending his (almost) entire time with.
Regulus entered his and Sirius’ apartment, finding him laying on the couch, watching some Netflix.
”I got the job” Regulus said after he took off his red-and-black plaid shirt, having the teas in his hand, now sitting on the couch Sirius was laying on.
”Really? That’s SO AMAZING” Sirius said enthusiastic and grabbes his cup of tea out of Regulus’ hand, hugging him, making Regulus to chuckle.
“Yeah, I’m starting tomorrow” Regulus said and sipped his tea.
”I’ll come visit” Sirius said but Regulus took it as a joke, because his brother would never, literally never, put foot in a library if he wasn’t really forced to.

The night flew away quickly and Regulus has been woken up by the alarm. He went to the bathroom, did his routine, took a quick shower and dressed up. Putting on a grey cardigan made Sirius tell his brother that he looked like a true librarian.
He left the apartment, heading to the library, not before taking a black coffee to keep him fresh for the day. He had a shift from 9 am to 5 pm, just like Remus, so he got time to spend with his new friend. All he had to do that day was to arrange the books that are returned to their place and help Remus with a few clients or talk with him when they’re free. The library hasn’t had that many costumers, only college students in need for books for projects or anything school-related, and a very few people that just came there to read, that really appreciate books.
It was an easy first day for Regulus, so he enjoyed it so much. He got to know Remus better and vice-versa.
When it was 5 pm and they closed the library, which meant the work day was over. After doing the last round to check if everything is alright, they both exited the place.
“Wanna go for a drink?” Remus said looking at Regulus who showed a smile.
”Yeah sure, I’ve got nothing to do anyways” He responded and they headed to a small teahouse. They both ordered their favourite teas and while they waited Regulus texted his brother
(5:12pm) Don’t wait for me, out with a friend.
(5:14pm) Boyfriend?;)
(5:15pm) He is just a friend dumbass
(5:15) Yeah sure
(5:16) Oh god I’m not dealing with your shit now
(5:16) You love me anyways.
Regulus left his phone away and started chatting with his friend. While drinking tea and between the laughings, they became closer.

A few days passed by and Regulus enjoyed working at the library. He got to be in his favourite place and spend time with his best friend, which apparently was his only friend. They got very close, but both of them never thought of getting more closer than best friend. Even if they both knew Remus was pansexual and Regulus was bisexual, romance between them will never be an option, and they discussed it.
It was currently a Friday afternoon, and the library was quiet, Regulus was walking between the shelves full with books to check them and maybe to get one to read in his spare time, meanwhile Remus was at the front desk, scrolling through his phone and sipping his coffee. It was a chill day until, Sirius and James decided to visit Regulus to his work.
“Reggie boooooy” Sirius said looking at his brother while walking through the doors of the library.
”Jesus Christ, you in library?” Regulus asked looking shocking at his brother “Is it the end of the world?”
Sirius chuckled. He was alone for now, as James stoof behind to grab two cups of coffee for them.
”Reg?” A voice Sirius heard coming from behind his brother, but at the sight of the beautiful boy standing there, he froze. He felt a weird feeling in his stomach and his heart beat fast and he just stared at him, for a moment.
”And who are you?” Sirius asked smirking at him, and the other let out an soft “Ouh” and looked up-and-down with a smile, soft blush.
”I’m Remus” He said, walking to Sirius from behind Regulus “And you’re Sirius I suppose” he said, soft smirking unintentionally, but quickly turn it into a smile.
“You know me?” Sirius raised a brow and stared at the boy’s face mesmerised.
“From what Regulus told me and the striking resemblance between you two you couldn’t be someone else” He said chuckling, now getting behind the desk.
Sirius took a glance at his brother, who was looking at him suspiciously. Regulus rolled his eyes and took a book and went between the shelves, leaving the other two alone.
“So-“ Sirius said but being interrupted by his best friend who now was walking through the door with two cup of coffees in his hand, slightly pissed, approaching Sirius and Remus.
“For the love of god they move like snails” he said handing Sirius’ cup to him “Next time your going mate” he said before taking a sip from his own cup.
“Dear Jamie, this is my new friend Remus” Sirius said making Remus flinch a smile and look up at James.
“Nice to meet you there mate” he said shaking Remus’ hand “I’m James”.
Regulus was walking back to them when James got sight of him. He froze, literally, he could feel butterflies through his stomach, his heart flutter fast and his eyes widen, chaotically holding his smile. He was a mess right now, Regulus made him a mess with what? only ‘showing’ himself.
“Glasses” Regulus said looking at James, pulling him from the euphoric state he was in “You’re James?” he said raising a brow.
“Yeah I’m James” he said with a stupid smile on his face, fixing his round glasses and let out a sigh of a breath.
“So you’re the one my brother spends his time with” Regulus said laughing sight “I’m Regulus”.
”Yeah could figure that already” James said laughing but only made Regulus raise a brow.
“A bit funny, aren’t you?” He said soft smirking, then moving his gaze to his brother who was sharing looks with Remus behind the desk “What?” he said to his brother who snapped and looked at him, while Remus got fine with a soft silent laugh.
“Jamies, why won’t we” he said looking at his best friend “search that book you needed” blinking softly.
James looked at his best friend with a confused look, tucking his lips in but soon realised what he meant. He responded a quick “Yes” before they disappeared between the shelves, leaving Remus and Regulus in a confusing state.
“Jesus, I got shy?” Sirius said to James who was now widen eyed looking at him.
“You shy Siri? What—“ James said before realising. “Remus?” and Sirius nodded and James let out an loud enthusiasm noise and Sirius made him shut up by covering his mouth with his hand.
“My Siri is in loooooove” he said whispering to Sirius only making him blush.
“Not in love yet, but I like him” Sirius said smiling then hugging his mate.

A few days passed by and Sirius and James would go to the library, every single day, not because books were in their interest, but to see Regulus and Remus for couple of hours continuously, they had to have something as a pretext, so books weren’t that bad. Regulus got suspicious of them, he actually didn’t mind it, and it seemed that Remus didn’t either.
“Is your brother into blokes?” James asked Sirius who was staring at Remus who was behind the counter, reading a book and sipping his tea.
“Yeah he is” Sirius responded without realising but then he snapped “Why’d you asked?” raising a brow at him.
”No reason” James answered and moved his gaze into the book he was holding in his hands but not reading a thing from it.
“You like him??” Sirius asked laughing in disbelief but in enthusiasm as well while James’ cheeks turn pink and failing on holding his smile.
When James nodded Sirius literally went insane and got all the attention to him. But he felt a smack on his head making him flinch.
“Shut up you fucking idiot” Regulus said now passing an annoyed Sirius and a shy James, going to the front desk.
“Thank you brother, so kindly” he said before his face enlighten, letting James know he got an idea “I have an idea” Sirius said and then the both of them smirked.
After a discussion that was suspicious, they were heading to Regulus and Remus, who were looking suspiciously at them knowing something is up. They shared a look before Sirius spoke.
“Remus, I’m holding a small ‘party’ tomorrow at my flat, only me, James, Regulus and you will be there, if you accept” Sirius said throwing a sweet loving smile at Remus.
”You didn’t mind ask me if I want to?” Regulus said looking serious at his brother.
“Shut up I’m doing it and you’re coming anyway” Sirius said flipping his hair and then fixing his gaze back on Remus who was now chuckling, but he accepted the invitation.
Regulus rolled his eyes and they landed on James, who was staring at him but as soon their gaze met, he looked away, now trying to hold a smile, having pinky cheeks, which made Regulus smile for a reason.

Currently, Sirius and Regulus were waiting for the other two to come at their flat for this small party Sirius decided to have out of nowhere. The ring bell was heard by both of them, now standing up, Sirius opening the door. James and Remus were there, explaining how they met in the way here and that’s why they arrived together. Sirius was acting shyly around Remus and as soon as James entered the flat his gaze was set on Regulus who was also having his gaze on him. They smiled at each other and were interrupted by Sirius who told them to have a seat.
Regulus quickly went to Remus side, whispering to him a quick “Just follow my lead into something” and Remus quickly nodded without being suspicious. They sat down and each one of them had a beer. They were talking until Regulus took a look a Remus and nod one time, letting Remus know to follow his lead.
“Rem, you remember that time when this guy came in” Regulus said with a smile and a soft laugh “You know, the tall blonde one” He said and Remus nodded.
“Oh yeah I remember” Remus answered having a slight smirk on his face.
“When he started flirting with you” Regulus laughed softly and Sirius’ expression suddenly changed.
“Oh god. what a story, do tell” Sirius faked a smile and blink a couple of times looking at Remus, and Regulus having a satisfaction expression layed upon his entire face, his ‘plan’ actually worked. But Remus wasn’t falling behind, so he let out a soft smirk and looked at James then at Regulus.
“And then we he didn’t succeed with me, he started flirting with you Reg” They both laughed softly but James snapped, now poking his cheek with his tongue.
”Did he?! Continue, I’m thrilled” He said looking at Regulus, slight serious, but Regulus’ Adam’s apple could be seen going up and down.
“Yeah but we kicked him out after” and at the hearing of those words, James and Sirius calmed down “I’m gonna go get some food” Regulus said and got off the couch, now smirking at Remus.
“Jamsie dear, go get some tequila as well” Sirius suggested and James quickly understood why he said that, and followed Regulus to the kitchen, now leaving the two of them alone.
“So” Sirius started now setting his gaze on Remus who was looking at him smiling “What’s your favourite movie?”.
”Percy Jackson” Remus responded with a shy smile on his face that made Sirius go nuts.
“Really?” Sirius smirked lightly “I heard it’s rolling at the cinema this Wednesday” he continued and cleared his throat “We could go and watch it” He said in hope for an positive answer.
“Yes we could” Remus responded with a smile that relieved Sirius heart and make him have an really happy expression on his face.
“Call it a date?” Sirius smirked and Remus laughed softly.
”Sure” he responded now both of them remaining in silence, staring at each other.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, Regulus was setting food on the plates, James was getting the bottle of tequila, but he went to Regulus’ side and looked at him.
“Need help with those?” He asked politely, smiling like a fool, when Regulus raised his gaze upon him. He was loving, James thought.
“No I’m good, thank you James” he said and smiled softly “How are you enjoying this ‘party’?” Regulus asked, letting out a soft, really soft, laugh.
“So far so good” James replied smiling, keeping his gaze on Regulus, who was doing the same.
“Yeah, it’s nice” Regulus said and James nodded, now becoming a bit shy, but Regulus returned to putting on the plates.
“Hey Reg uhm—“ James said and Regulus looked up at him again “Do you wanna grab coffee or tea with me sometime?” He askef hopefully, in desperate need of an positive answer.
”Yes, that would be amazing” Regulus nodded making James show the biggest smile ever and let out the breath he was holding.

Epilogue.
It’s been a year, and now James and Regulus are together and so are Remus and Sirius. They clicked right after they had their dates.
Now they were hanging out at the brothers’ flat, James and Regulus cuddling on the couch, while Sirius was sitting on Remus’ lap in the comfortable armchair in front of the other two.
They were being the best of friends, they were talking about anything, and they enjoyed each other’s company.
“I can’t believe a library made me met the love of my life. It gives me shivers on my spine” Sirius said and James responded with a “I totally get you mate” and they all laughed, Remus explained to them that ‘it’s not that bad, not at all’.
Regulus took a look at his boyfriend, smiling at each other, they pressed their lips against each other’s, kissing for probably the thousand time but it always felt sweet and perfect as always.
Well and Remus and Sirius were doing the same, only that Sirius was ‘eating’ Remus alive, but they were perfect together, as Regulus and James were too.
“You know, I’m happy we have this” Regulus said smiling and looking at every one of them “Four great friends, and two powerful couples” he said making everyone smile.
“I hope it lasts forever” Remus said, now laying his head on his boyfriend’s, while James and Regulus were holding tight onto each other.
