Chapter 1

The arrival of a new student was not unheard of but it was few and far between. Of course, first years were new but the student that had whispers filling the corridors would be transferring into her 4th year.

She was oddly familiar, Harry noted. With red hair and what he assumed to be hazel eyes. For a moment he thought her to possibly be a cousin of Ron maybe even a sister but that thought was quickly dismissed when Ron leaned over. “She looks like you mate”

“What do you mean?” Harry questioned. “How could she look like me?”

Neither of his friends answered, Hermione, looked just as confused as Harry did while Ron simply shrugged his shoulders.

As the role was readout, the first years were announced first. Leaving the 4th year's name unknown until the last moment. “and finally, entering her 4th year Blair po-“ McGonagall choked. Her eyes widening freakishly large.

“Blair Potter” Dumbledore continued. Nodding in confirmation, the whispers that soon filled the common room were filled with disbelief, whispers the girl – Blair didn’t seem bothered by. She took a place on the stool, and the room fell silent as the sorting hat was placed on her head.

Her heart was racing, despite the now silence that enveloped the room, her bother was in this room, her brother that she barely knew anything about. That she now knew, knew nothing about her. ‘

~O, what do we have here. A potter…now isn’t this interesting~

~This is Very difficult, very difficult in deed~

~Plenty of courage I see, not a bad mind either~

~I can see talent in you, and a power you seem rather determined to ignore~

~Hmm, Now where to put you, where to put you.~

‘hurry please’ Blair whispered

~O, you don’t have any preferences. Your brother had seemed rather against a certain house. ~

“my brother and I are not the same”

~Is that right?~

~O yes, now this might be interesting~

~How about SLYTHERIN~

Harry felt his stomach drop in the same moment, Blair released a sigh of relief.

“just sit anywhere along those tables Blair. Your head of year will be happy to explain everything to you” McGonagall smiled.

“I want to speak to my brother” Blair insisted,

“in due time, we-“

“you're my sister” Harry gasped out, was he having a heart attack, his heart was pounding so hard it almost hurt.

Blair spun around quickly, Robes dangerously close to smacking McGonagall and for a long moment, they just stared. Blair in amazement and Harry in confusion. “it really you”

The accent that left her lips wasn’t British, he heard it before, on tv…Australian wasn’t it, it sounded Australian. “you look like dad” Blair continued. He didn’t move towards her, his mind couldn’t completely understand what was going on. he had a sister, a sister he didn’t know existed. The only blood family he had left…it was both amazing and terrifying.

“harry. are you okay”

When did she get so close, it felt as though in the blink of an eye she was standing only inches in front of him.

“not really” he admitted.

This wasn’t a magical reunion, not like you might find in storybooks. “do you want a hug?” she questioned innocently and God, how could he say no

“yes”

The hug only lasted a moment, long enough for him to squeeze back just as hard as her before McGonagall broke them apart. “Enough, enough. There will be plenty of time for reunions later, take your seats”

If anything Blair almost skipped to the table. Her brother was real, sure she had seen photos but seeing him in person was almost, if not completely different. the headmaster had begun the speech the moment she sat down, his voice filling the hall and silencing every student until he finally finished and the food appeared. “a potter, in Slytherin. Who would have thought”. The food was odd actually, even in a home so used to magic, shed never had it just appear before her…but god it smelt good.

The voice that caught her attention was teasing. Not in a nice way but not in a horrible way either. “is Slytherin a bad thing?” Blair asked curiously. “id heard rumours of this being the evil house, that everyone that enters evils. Its honestly stupid, that’s like saying Australians ride kangaroos with ‘no’ we do not”

You wouldn't want to fight the fuckers either. They may have small arms but they are vicious. The person she was talking to wasn’t familiar, no one besides harry was. the stranger had white-blonde hair startling grey eyes and a smug grin that made her fight the urge to punch. “Draco Malfoy”. When the stranger held out his hand, she felt herself relax. Introductions she could do

“Blair Potter, but you already know that”

“potters twin I see”

“he looks like dad, I look more like mum”

She hadn't touched her food yet, the plate sitting in front of her empty and waiting. “ignore that prat” another voice offered as Draco sneered, “I'm Blaise zabini and I suggest the chicken. It's delicious”

“o…thanks” she replied. He had a kinder look in his eyes, she could handle that. “and I'm not too worried about him. he's going to have to try a lot harder to get on my nerves”

“o trust me, you shouldn't have said that. he's going to be determined to annoy you now”
