Fury and Dates

Voldemort POV

The man who had once been Tom Riddle, now known as Voldemort, and unfortunately inhabiting a Golem that looked like a suit of armor was furious. It had taken him almost four years to finally make his way back into Hogwarts Castle to look for one of the last pieces of his soul. When he arrived, he could not recall where the piece of his soul even was. though he knew it was still there sensing it in the castle. It had taken Voldemort over a month to remember that he had hidden it inside the special Come and Go Room that the Elves had told him about when he was a school student. While he knew both where his Horcrux was and how to get it Voldemort, it would raise too many questions for him in his current form to collect it. Voldemort had decided to stay in the D.A.D.A classroom so as to also gather information on all the students at the castle to see if he could use them either now or later. He had also had Quirrell keep tabs on Snape not sure which side of the war the man was really on, for his former personal Potions Master had joined Albus's staff. As Voldemort knew that Snape hated kids and could when asked to teach his fellow Death Eaters in brewing the man just could not do it. All of that pointed to Snape being at the castle under Albus's orders and a switch of allegiance in the man.

Voldemort's anger had grown when it was revealed that one of the selected Champions turned out to be Harry Potter. All thoughts of collecting the fragment of his soul had left him after hearing the name. Though with two pieces of his soul still missing he could not fully recall the night he had gone to the Potters to kill them and prevent the prophecy. All he knew was that somehow the Potter boy had stopped him and he had ended up as little more than a spirit. He was going to make sure he finished the boy off this time before he went searching for his piece of soul at the castle. Since the boy had not gone to Hogwarts before now it seemed likely that as soon as the Tournament was over he would leave it again, so Voldemort would have to kill him before then and then finally collect the piece of his soul which he would be able to do at his leisure.

Another thing that distracted him recently was a letter he had gotten from Narcissa just a few days before. Something seemed to have happened recently for in her letter she reported Lucius had gotten away from her watchful eye. Shortly after he had left the woman had been ejected from Malfoy Manor only to nearly pass out as she had felt magic ripped from her body. When the pain had passed Narcissa had reported she had gone to Gringotts to find out what had happened. After getting tested she had found out that she had been cut off from both the Black and Malfoy Family's Magics and had become Narcissa No-Name. Besides being shocked that the woman had somehow convinced or forced Lucius to let her have access to the Malfoy Family Magic, Voldermort anger at the woman's loss of power and access to their vaults. It was this anger that led him to leave the D.A.D.A. classroom and attend the First Task under some Notice-Me-Not Charms. Seeing Potter would be taking on a Dragon Voldemort wanted to give a cheer. But seeing Potter start to speak to it, though unable to hear anything come from the boy's mouth as he spoke meaning the brat had All-Speak. Fearing the brat would somehow convince the Drago to get his egg without having to fight Voldemort gathered his magic and sent it into the beast making it go wild. Voldemort was surprised when his own magic did not go crazy when he saw the brat use spells with even his knowledge of the most arcane and forgotten spells he did not recognize and get his egg without a single issue. Seeing Potter succeed Voldemort used the crowd cheering the boy on to leave back to the castle.

Lady Magic's POV

Lady Magic was rather annoyed. Once again someone had tried to harm her vessel. What was more she recognized the attacker as the same person who had killed her vessel's parents as a baby. While she had vowed to never interfere she was not going to let her vessel be messed with again from either the attacker or the old man who had stuck her vessel in the abusive home and tried to block his magic. The good thing was that while she did not let her vessel have full access to all her power she could still access it so she had sensed a coming event that she could use to her advantage against the pair of bastards acting against her vessel.

Harry's POV

As Harry left the First Task numerous students and teachers surrounded him asking about what spell he had used to make himself grow so large. Having seen how horrible Hogwarts had done in instructing Magicals in their gifts he was not even tempted to share the spell knowing someone here would use it either wrong or make a mistake in casting it causing unfathomable trouble. So he just smiled at them and said he had learned it from one of his old teachers, knowing there was no reason they needed to learn that he had been taught the spell in another realm. "Hey let's talk about something else," Harry said after a bit. "Let's see what is inside this egg." Several of the Hogwarts teachers started to give him signs to stop, but the only teachers who he had any respect for at this school were the Charms Master, Arithmancy Teacher, and the Ancient Runes/Warding Professor, he did not heed them.

Harry tilted his head in confusion as everyone around him clamped their hands to their heads and gave cries of pain as a voice began to come from the egg.

Come seek us where our voices sound,
We cannot sing above the ground,
And while you're searching ponder this;
We've taken what you'll sorely miss,
An hour-long you'll have to look,
And to recover what we took,
But past an hour, the prospect's black,
Too late, it's gone, it won't come back

When he heard the whole thing Harry closed the egg making those around him let out sighs of relief. "What the fuck man?" one of the Hogwarts students asked as they dug a finger into their ears to stop the ringing.

"What?" Harry asked still confused.

"Are you serious? How did that noise not cause your ears to start bleeding?" another student asked.

"What noise the small poem? I admit it was not that good but it would never cause someone's ears to bleed even if its cadence and rhymes were a little one the nose," Harry said.

"No that was just bloody screeches," Marcus complained glad he had not opened his own egg yet.

"Screeches? Underground? Oh, the Second Task is collecting something taken from us by any Selkies that may inhabit the lake," Harry said seeing the Hogwarts teachers that had been giving him the sign to stop facepalm. "What is with this tournament and taking stuff? First, you want us to take an egg from a nesting Dragon and now you are having merpeople take something from us?" Harry asked as with a snap of his fingers places a Ward around everything he owns, though he tended to carry most of his stuff with him anyway so no one would be able to take it. Harry saw no reason to celebrate his success in the First Task due to how easy it had been left and knowing that everyone else did not like the sound that came from the egg used it as an unspoken threat to get away scot-free. Once he was far enough away he shifted into one of his forms and made his way back to the room he had found within the castle just to relax and meditate a little.

Just like he had done before the First Task Harry spent a lot of time in both his found room and random empty classrooms around Hogwarts doing his version of self-study as he recalled lessons from his travels. He was not worried about a trip to the lake had already come up with a way to do it that would not reveal he had multiple Animagus forms to the Hogwarts inhabitants. Harry did, however, still went to have his meals in the Great Hall to interact with various people. He had been glad when Draco had actually sought him out and sat next to him during a meal he was taking at the Gryffindor House table to inform him that his father was finally free of Narcissa. Draco's sitting at the table actually caused some shock among the Hogwart students letting Harry see once again how backward the school was for how much rivalry between the Houses the staff seemed to promote. Being reminded that his restraining orders against Snape and Dumbes were in place Harry was almost tempted to try it out by heading to an actual potions class within the school but the thought of being in a small room with that bastard sickened him.

A few days later when he was once again sitting at the Gryffindor table and listening to what was going on around the school he was informed by Ronald and Hermione that something strange had happened in their potions lessons with the Slytherins. The pair told him that Snape had tried to get on Draco's case for sitting at the Gryffindor table with Harry only for the man to grab his throat and be unable to talk. Harry had to smile for it seems that Draco had also had a restraining order filled out against the man. Ronald and Hermione had been actually shocked as they reported that unlike what normally happened in the class Draco, Theo, and Blaise had let their emotions show and had actually worked alongside some Gryffindor students all the while Snape had looked like he had eaten a Tongue-Ton Toffee. When Harry asked what that was Ronald informed him that his older twin brothers made joke/prank objects and the object in question would cause a person's tongue to grow several sizes in their mouth, and before they worked out the bugs almost caused a person to choke on it. Harry had to laugh now wishing more than ever that he had taken the class to see it in person rather than an orb of Time Magic.

It was a good thing that he actually went to meals besides learning the recent gossip, for just a week and a half after he had taken part in the First Task sitting next to a group of Sixth-Year Huffelpuffs he was asked who he was talking to the Yule Ball. As Harry knew from Remus and Sirius's stories of their time at Hogwarts he had been planning on Apparating over to them to spend the holiday as he normally did. "You can't do that," Lester More stated after Harry had shared his plans

"And why is that?" Harry asked back.

"Well when we were told about the Ball, Professor Sprout informed us that the Champions would open it with a dance," Morton Less said from Harry's other side.

"Ah, well I would not want to interfere with tradition," Harry said.

Later that day Harry checked out the map that Remus had given that Harry's father and friends had created while they had been students. Using the map he waited until one of the Hogwarts teachers he respected went to their office for a bit. Seeing Professor Flitwick remain in his office for ten minutes Harry headed down to see the Charms Master.

"Ah, Heir Potter what can I do for you?" Professor Flitwick said in a happy tone gesturing Harry to take a seat.

"Hello Charms Master Flitwick I have a quick question," Harry said using the man's real title as he had been taught to do at Glorvantia.

"As the Muggles say shoot," Flitwick said leaning forward wondering what type of question Harry would have for him.

"Well, I was informed that I had to open up the Yule Ball for the Tournament due to my status as a Champion. I was just wondering if I could take myself as my date," Harry said having no desire to have someone misconstrue his asking them to go with him as an attempt to start a relationship.

"I am afraid not, Heir Potter. You have to dace with someone to start the party. You only have to do the one dance though if you are nervous," Flitwick said giving him a kind smile.

"But could I not just bring myself?" Harry asked,

"No the dance has to be done with two people I am afraid," Flitwick said thinking the young boy was nervous about having to ask someone out.

"I think we are talking cross purposes I would not go alone I would go with me," Harry said and before Flitwick could get the wrong idea Harry accessed his magic by using a couple of hand motions as with a puff of smoke an exact copy of himself was sitting in the other chair before the Charm Master's desk.

"My word that is quite remarkable," Flitwick said nearly toppling out of his chair. "Some sort of illusion spell?" the part-Goblin guessed as he made as if to run his hand through Harry's double only to make a sound of surprise when he touched real flesh and blood.

"No, it is a real being, not fully sentient mind you but having enough to get by. I learned the skill in the village of Konohamaru or as it was sometimes called the Hidden Leaf Village," Harry explained knowing that Professor Flitwick had proven mostly trustworthy to know a little bit about Harry's various skills he had picked up. While not being told that the places he had learned them were in other realms.

"Alright, I can see what you mean now but I think it would be best if you were to bring an actual date. We would not want you straining your Core by having to keep your copy around during the whole event," Flitwick said. Harry wanted to say he could keep the copy around, and even make more, without tiring himself out for at least a couple of years. But after a bit of thought, it might be a good idea not to have others know about the true strength of his core.

"I see what you mean Charms Master Flitwick, I shall endeavor to find someone to take the Ball," Harry said leaving the man's office with a bow that exposed his neck in true Goblin fashion.

While people did come up to ask Harry to the Yule Ball he turned them all down, for he could see they were only doing it due to him being a Champion or how famous he was in this realm. He thought about asking Fleur to accompany him based on the fact that he knew she sometimes got a little upset because of her being part-Veela and not sure if a person asking her out was just after her for her Allure. As he had long ago proven that he was immune to such types of passive Magic, potions, Creature based pheromones she would know he would not be after such a thing. But he was not sure that would be allowed since they were both Champions or not. It also turned out he was a little late for she had already asked someone out before he decided to ask her himself.

Harry decided to do what the Merlin he knew had liked to do and just help someone out. So during supper one night he asked the people around him who they thought would love to go to the Ball but either could not or would not go because no one would ask them. The Ravenclaws he was sitting with suggested anyone in their Third-Year or below since they were not allowed to go unless invited by someone else. Picking from a whole three years of students would be too hard he said and asked for them to narrow it down. Some suggested he ask younger students that they themselves were related to or members of their own house. Having heard the discussion he was having with the Ravenclaws the Slytherin girl Pansy chimed in, "If you are looking for a charity case Potty why not ask Moaning Myrtle or some Mud..." Harry had seen her about to show her bigotry against Muggleborns had no problem using his Magic to cast a silencing spell on her. Seeing her unable to talk, many students at both the Ravenclaw table and Slytherin actually gave a small cheer as she glared and silently swore at everyone not knowing what was going on. Harry has not only heard stories from her Housemates, as well as seen it a few times decided to use his magic to basically enchant the girl where Pansy's own magic would read her and if she tried to use the term "Mudblood" or any other slur against a person would silence her itself in the hopes of teaching the girl a lesson.

"So who is Moaning Myrtle?" Harry asked as the cheering died down.

"She is a ghost that haunts the first-floor ladies' bathroom," a Ravenclaw named Matthew Dooley informed him. Harry paused in thought for if he asked a ghost they would not think that he was doing it out of any type of romance. And with one of the skills he had picked up, he could give her a semi-physical body as they danced. Smiling to himself at the idea he excused himself from the table and left the hall. Heading to the haunted bathroom he changed his clothing into a semi-formal suit and knocked on the door.

"Ms. or is it Mrs. Myrtle I am wondering if I could have a moment of your time?" Harry asked when he got no response.

"What do you want?" the face of a girl who looked like she died around the age of fifteen or sixteen asked poking out from the door to the room.

"Hello, Ms. Myrtle, my name is Harry Potter and I am one of the visiting students who has come for the Triwizard Tournament. In fact, I am one of the Champions, but that is beside the point. I was told I need to ask someone to open up the dancing during the Yule Ball celebration that is taking place. The thing is I don't want to give someone the wrong idea by asking them to come with me, you see I am Asexual and at this moment am not really looking for any type of romance. So I was wondering if you would go to the ball with me," Harry said.

"Your making fun of me," the ghost girl said pulling out a ghostly handkerchief as tears begin to form in her eyes.

"I assure you I am not," Harry said as he gently wipes a tear from her cheek which surprised her.

"You... You... you can touch me?" she asked her handkerchief falling from her grasp.

"I am sorry if that was a bit forward, I just don't like to see others cry if I can help it," Harry said with a smile as he picked up her handkerchief and passed it back to her.

"How are you doing this?" Myrtle asked in shock.

"Oh, this is nothing I have had a lot of random training in various forms of Magic so I know some random skills," Harry informed her. "If you are worried about having to dance I can tell you I am trained in that as well," he said holding out his arm to her. Seeming bemused she actually took it and found herself being brought in to dance with him for a short time. "So will you come with me to the ball?" he asked after he let her go.

"I can't believe I am saying this but yes that sounds nice," she said giving him a large smile.

"Well then I shall pick you up an hour beforehand," Harry said as he took her ghostly hand and brought it to his lips to give it a small kiss and causing her to blush.

Harry was going to arrive an hour before needing to be at the ball to help her get ready for he knew that most ghosts could only wear the clothing they had died in. But by using one of his many magical talents and spells he would be able to shift an item over to her plain of being, at least a little while. He even went down to Myrtle's bathroom to find out what type of dress or clothing she would like to wear to the ball. Myrtle had beamed at him telling him she would love a dress that made her feel like a Princess. Harry thanks to his own skill, and some help from Tony was able to create a gown reminiscent of a woman named Belle he had met in a town called Storybrook from her wedding day, though in Myrtle's favorite color rather than gold. Seeing the dress laying on his bed within his room he thought something was missing.

Lady Magic smiled as she placed a suggestion into her vessel's head about the dress needing an accessory such as a piece of headgear.

Harry snapped his fingers as he thought all that was missing to complete the assemble of a Princess look was a crown or some sort of headgear. No sooner had he thought this than he saw what looked like a diadem laying on his bed next to Myrtle's dress. "Oh, that is perfect. Thank you room," Harry said as he picked up the diadem. "Now that is odd something seems to be lodged inside of you. Just a tick my dear," Harry said as with no effort extracted the piece of Voldemort's soul from the diadem.

Lady Magic was laughing to herself as she sees her vessel look at the small shredded bit of soul that had been locked inside Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem before he puts it out of its misery by crushing it into dust and letting it scatter into the either.

Voldemort almost broke cover to grab his chest in pain as he felt something go wrong, only stopping himself lest he gives himself away in front of a class of Seventh-Year Ravenclaws and Huffelpuffs.

Having cleansed the diadem that the room had given him Harry started to polish it off before adding it to the pile of clothing for Myrtle to wear to the Ball.
