Cuddles with Cap
There was nothing harder than trying to get a sleep with a baby around. It seemed like he had an alarm every time one of them closed their eyes for longer than three seconds and he was crying.
This night was no different. Well very early morning, due to the fact it was 2am. A cry rang out from the baby monitor, causing both dads to let out a soft groan. Sirius sat up, rubbing at his eyes sleepily, “I’ve got him, mon loup.” He mumbled, pressing a kiss to Remus’s sleep mussed hair.
Remus hummed in reply, his face already pressed back into the pillow and he was out again as the door closed behind Sirius.
It felt as though only minutes passed but the next time he opened his eyes, sunlight filled the room. His hand reached out, expecting to meet the sleep warm skin of his boyfriend but all he felt was cold sheets.
His eyebrows furrowed as he sat up, sheets falling around him as he glanced over at the clock. 7:36am. Remus hadn’t slept this long since… well since before Asher was born. Stretching his arms over his head, he got up to pull on a pair of joggers before heading out to find his boys.
Remus checked the nursery first, but he was only met with silence. The house was too quiet for either of them to be awake. Where could they be?
Heading down the stairs, his heart clenched at the sight he was met with.
Sprawled across the couch were his beautiful boys. Sirius had Asher sleeping on his chest, both of them snored softly as they slept, almost in the same position.
A lot of times when they couldn’t get Asher to sleep, it was because he wanted the skin to skin contact. That must’ve been last night’s problem, as his chubby cheek was pressed to Sirius’s slowly rising and falling chest. Sirius had his left arm wrapped around Asher’s small body, holding him close.
Remus couldn’t help it, he grabbed his phone quickly snapping a picture of the two cuddled together. He sent it off to the group chat before posting it to his Instagram, “He snores just like his daddy.”
And that was how Remus accidentally announced the birth of their child as well as their engagement on Instagram.
